What is the parbuckling technique?
This method involves the use of two towing lines rigged in a specific way to help roll the boat over. Once the boat is upright, one of the towing lines is slacked allowing the boat to straighten out and follow in the towboat's wake. The casualty will still have water in it at this stage.

The second rope was used because the boat was floating upside down. They attach it to a side cleat and flip the boat right side up before pulling it up onto a plane

@IslandOasisFlorida no worries I've seen it done before. It's honestly amazing how these tow boat guys down in Miami get a boat recovered so quickly.
Edit: altho I have also seen it done with a single rope where the boat was basically flipped front over end inorder to get it upright and onto a plane

ya i think the incoming tide was giving him issues. that combined with all the boat traffic that wanted to stop and watch.

I imagine the second line was to spread the load of pulling a swamped boat to a second attachment point to avoid pulling the boat in half.
