I beat the guy who uploaded this in an F-Zero X bracket today and he had the nerve to say "dream chaser" was the worst track in X. DREAM CHASER? Needless to say, I taught him a lesson he won't soon forget.
@@snaffu1 GX and X are both insanely good. They're hella competitive on an individual level. You can pick these games up and just get so hooked by yourself in a dark room hours on end.
X was more about raw speed, so the Metal Music made a lot of sense, GX is more about pace and rythm so the techno music made more sense. Both soundtracks are awesome anyway.
Funny, I was doing the same with a bluetooth speaker rattling around in my shitbox 15 years later and to this day. Good times never change, only evolve.
The SNES music was always cool then I downloaded this from Napster or Kazaam back in the day and could never find it and forgot about it... thank you for this!!
@@Rambler1995 It pretty much does exist. The main riff is actually taken from Carcass' Heartwork. Which is itself inspired by a mid 80's Kreator song. When they made the recordings that are in the game they used real guitar performances and had them put through a guitar synth and then exported for the N64's music chip to playback. This guitar arrange wasn't the same musicians, but just some talented session players. I'm pretty certain Devils call in your heart was skipped because the session guys can't keep up with that type of riffage for extended periods.

X was the best iteration IMO, it hit the hardest and the music was 90% why. Thanks for this.
I'm a GX man in my heart, but even I know that GX would never have happened without X. A legendary game I'm so glad to have grown up with.

I used to blast this on my mp3-player back in 2002 or 2003 on my way to my summer job. Good times.

The cover art on that CD is beautiful.
Just when I thought the F-Zero X soundtrack couldn't sound any better, you deliver this justice to my ears! Thank you, my good sir.
3:30 those birds always get me. 😂
dream chaser always my favorite song. well done arrangement here
You got boost power
Been waiting for this years. Have a like, internet person!
X and GX had great.... GREAT music.
I really wish that one song with the shamisen from the DD version was on here
Wish they did the whole ost + DD
This. Is. So. Good. Best videogame soundtrack _ever_, still true in 2021 !

Just missed the best one. Devils call in your heart
Oh yeah, that’s a good one. Would’ve been sick to hear it on real instruments.

The only song I would like to be included in this arrange is the cover of Rainbow Road that came in the game.
As soon as you go back in time and compose the soundtrack with that song included, we'll get right on that for you 😂
