There was a home that was pretty upscale on a main road in my hometown that had a dog tied up in the front yard. A big overgrown cocker spanial that was out in all weather. He had worn a circle around the tree. I was a little kid, and it bothered me so much.
This episode has a nice example of how dog training usually goes. The family want Victoria to teach their dog to stop running out of the house at night. Victoria tells them to close their doors at night.
I know, right? And at 1:54 Chet calls his dog the R word, which is a derogatory slur towards people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Back then, it was used as a medical term, but now we call them intellectually disabled.
The older they get, the hardest is to train a dog, specially a large one. Golden Retriever are one of the friendlies dog breeds, but they require a lot of training. I do hate when any animal owner have a healthy animal that clearly is neglected & they called their animal "retarder" or "mentally disable", because the neglected or not trained animals doesn't do what they want.

I love when she gets familys straight. She doesn’t just help the dog, but help the family and their relationship. As well as teach people
I hope this is a joke lmao, but for your info: A dog trainer isn't there to train the dog (except for programs like board and train). Dog trainers teach the owners about dog behavior and show them how to train their dog themselves.
I really don't think Victoria should have left the dog in the home. She should have explained that they were clearly in over their heads and helped them get the dog rehomed. Raise your hand if you think the family kept up with this long term. This family is messed up on so many levels. The dog is the least of their problems but also the one suffering the most.
The dog was healthy though so animal control wouldn't have been able to take her and she didn't look neglected, she wasn't emaciated and all her fur is still there.
This family doesn’t deserve this sweet dog, she deserves someone who would care for her spend d time with her and have fun with her , she seems like a very sweet dog.
The man doesn't want a dog, it is difficult to force a pet on someone. A family should sit together, talk about the pros and cons of getting pet and it is essential to be realistic in what it takes to have a pet.
Yes! When not everyone in the family wants to help and put work in a dog, then don’t get one, it’s that simple. There are plenty of other animals like cats that are easier when it comes to training and how much you need to do for them.
it’s ironic how the one who brought the dog in and wanted her originally is the one who ended up not making any progress with taking care of her. I loved seeing every other member of the family change for the better, especially Chet!
The Trip to the fire department was brilliant. They saw Snooki's potential with training. This may have been a turning point for Chet who is training to be a volunteer fireman. I saw a difference in him watching Micha. Chet is the one who stepped up to train Snooki. He can have a nice relationship with Snooki.

Dad is actually pathetic, says he hates the dog and wants it gone and Victoria says she'll do just that and he then says "no you won't take the dog" YOU SAID YOU DIDNT WANT SNOOKI ANYWAYS WHAT
It was never about actually liking the dog at all, but his possession. It was about his pride. No one's gonna take away his possession. Sure he doesn't like the possession anyway. But the important thing is the "win" against the people trying to take them away.
I love watching these especially on stressful days when I’m struggleing with my dog, it shows new tricks to try, things I need to avoid, and it makes me feel better and more hopeful about my dog and mine relationship.
I am 13 years old and was blessed last year with my very own German Sherperd puppy Purdy, I paid for her with my own savings and have trained her myself with few tips from family ! I was 12 when I got her, it's such a shame to see people like this not take responsibility for training, feeding, walking etc. Its also gets to me when I'm out with her and adults walk all over me about purdy as they see themselves as higher up as they are older. like if Purdy goes to see them, pulls me on the lead a bit or whatever they can pick on me for they will! its super annoying. I also get people who take the mick by petting her without asking and stuff like that, luckily Purdy is not aggressive and is a fuss-pot but if she wasn't and bit them i could have her took off of me. People seriously need to get a grip and think about their actions. God bless this pup and Victoria, she always does such a wonderful job
Congratulations on your dog! ❤ I'm so proud of you 💐 I'm sorry that the adults are disrespectful to you. Keep on Training Purdy 💕 and do your best to be consistent with training and with letting other people know what's okay and what isn't.
That is... amazing. Is she even on your profile picture? She looks very sweet and I'm glad she got an owner like you. I'm an young adult, currently having a 9 week old puppy, and, it's a lot. I wish you just the best and much respect, which you DEFINITELY deserve. Hope you're proud of yourself as well. Greetings. :)

The dad and one son are doing great with the dog giving love and bonding. The mother and the other son who even bought the dog o m g.... At the end the fur of the dog looks so much healthier❤
There's a lot of awful people in this show, but these are next level. Dog needs to be rehomed. Charge the adults for neglect. Get a social worker to check on the kids.
I know a lot of people wanted the dog taken from them. But it was actually very sweet to see how Joe bonded with the dog and wanted to continue the training.
This makes me want to cry- Goldens are some of the sweetest dogs you can have. Nothing makes them happier than pleasing the people they love and the family couldn't care less. They didn't deserve her.
Oh I hated the whole family in this episode so much. No offense, but they seem to have something else dysfunctional going on behind the scenes and the dog is the least of their problems. Like what kind of people goes in and out of the house during the early hours after midnight with the front doors wide open like that?
I hope that they continue to do the Search & Rescue training with Snookie... She's literally a Retriever... Golden Retrievers are made to search and find things.
Love how the one who seemed to be least likely to change and participate became the one who did the most and the dog loved the most. The kid doing the fire training and dog rescue was really great to see him care for the dog. The one son should never ever have an animal.
Victoria put so much effort for a family that didn't deserve it. Agree with some of the other comments, this dog deserves so much better and should have been re-homed. This family doesn't deserve a dog.
It's sad but so realistic how this episode plays out. I'm hoping and praying that these people change their behaviors and give that dog a loving home. Really impressed that you took the time to find some root causes to the lack of engagement. I think that was the only way to have any impact. Your patience level is much higher than mine.
"it's boring" to play with the dog. It's a dog, that's how they play why'd they get a dog? For themselves clearly had nothing to do with giving a dog a healthy life and home.
Ik things started if really bad but I genuinely think they ended up taking good care of their dog because once they bonded with it they actually care more to keep up with the training
The dad saying "let it dehydrated or not give her food" THAT'S PURE CRUELTY. NOT FEEDING HER? NOT CLEANING UP? NEGLECTING HER? DONT GET A IF YOU CAN'T BATH HER,NIT CLEANING UP AFTER HER,NOT FEEDING HER,NOT GIVING HER A DRINK AND NEGLECTING HER? WHY BUY HER SND NOT LOVE LOVE HER. THATS just sad!🙁
I love your videos...and this one is the most inspiring of all. I learned that a successful dog has a successfully bonded relationship with it's owner based on trust. I hope that Snookie and her family continue to learn about love and trust and responsibility. 💖💯👏💝
Her son bring the dog , because he wanted one without thinking the consequences, like a little brat that he is , but he isn't a little kid, and she allowed it, because she didn't set boundaries. Just love Victoria, as a trainer myself, I wouldn't have been that polite, i would of removed the dog, and charged them for animal neglect
Up
Forgets to feed the dog for days…look at the family…nobody there is missing a meal.
Not one.
all I'm gonna say is RUN SNOOKI RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNN
I love how she keeps the dad in his place
I'm just gonna say: THIS IS THE BEST HUMAN TRAINER/ DOG HERO ON EARTH! she shows so much care to poor Snooki and is sure to stand her ground! I love this video! sorry it's a late comment
My dog was abused and hes a rescue but hes never pooped or peed inside . Hes a very good boy and i love him ❤
I love how when Victoria walked in and saw there was MoRE of them, she’s actually kinda look scared lol 😂 like; oh Gowd no “ Theses people love watching everyone else get roasted, but once it’s them they got a big attitude.. it’s like fire with fire with this family and her. I love when she gets familys straight. She doesn’t just help the dog, but help the family and their relationship. As well as teach people
I'd choose the dog hands down...no way would I want a husband like that...poor dog
She’s worse than him
@@aljones75 nar...
@@audsk9953 He seemed to put the most effort in with the dog by the end. I wouldn't want either as a partner.
He is the actually most concerned about the dog though buddy, Watch the whole video, The moment she said she would take the dog away his tone changed.
Did you watch the whole video? The man made the most effort.
Man, I’m so thankful I was given nice loving parents as opposed to the “Life sucks, grow some balls kid” types of parents like these
And their pattens and dysfunction gets passed on through the generation. You can see how the children are.
Desperate ones 💀
These people are terrible, I wouldn’t trust them with any animal.
i love how Victoria teaches the dog but also somewhat teaches the owners too
i think you got it backwards
@@Kat-mu8wqthey openly emitted to the neglect they cause. That’s enough to get animal control to take snookie away.
Stop blaming both those teenage boys sure those both teenage boys done Wrong this plus both teenage boys need help
This family doesn’t
deserve this sweet dog, she deserves someone who would care for her spend d time with her and have fun with her , she seems like a very sweet dog.
I feel so sorry for this poor puppy. He should be rehomed.
This episode made me cry, I love retriever breeds more then anything and this got to me had to hug my lab for a while.
The man doesn't want a dog, it is difficult to force a pet on someone. A family should sit together, talk about the pros and cons of getting pet and it is essential to be realistic in what it takes to have a pet.
Exactly!!
Yes, a dog should be a family decision, a very serious decision.
Agreed, but it absolutely does not excuse his mistreatment and neglect of the dog.
Yes! When not everyone in the family wants to help and put work in a dog, then don’t get one, it’s that simple. There are plenty of other animals like cats that are easier when it comes to training and how much you need to do for them.
The youngest son bought the dog and quickly got over it 6:04
My heart stop working for one second when the dog almost got ran over
Thank you Victoria for being a voice for Snooki 💖
The fact that he said let the dog dehydrate, not eat, and drop dead.
That shows he’s a cruel person.
it’s ironic how the one who brought the dog in and wanted her originally is the one who ended up not making any progress with taking care of her. I loved seeing every other member of the family change for the better, especially Chet!
literally the sweetest most easily trained lovable breeds there is.
You put this family to the wall. That dog is a retriever, and I am sure glad that Joey wanted to go further with her training. 😅😊❤ Great Job, Joey!!😮🎉
People like this should absolutely not have a dog
or kids
The Trip to the fire department was brilliant. They saw Snooki's potential with training. This may have been a turning point for Chet who is training to be a volunteer fireman. I saw a difference in him watching Micha. Chet is the one who stepped up to train Snooki. He can have a nice relationship with Snooki.
It was Joe, the son, who was training with the fire department. (Small slip, easily done. 😊) But, yes! I fully agree!
@@daniellamcgee4251 Thank you, they both stepped up to train Snooki.
woah joey that was a complete 180 ! He really followed through with the whole rescue class thing ! That's amazing ! He's like his dad I guess and yes Chet good job ! and mum good job for keeping the rules
She is absolutely most sweetest dog and adorable ❤😊❤
Younger son is hopeless.....
Dad is actually pathetic, says he hates the dog and wants it gone and Victoria says she'll do just that and he then says "no you won't take the dog" YOU SAID YOU DIDNT WANT SNOOKI ANYWAYS WHAT
He loved the dog. He was angry. Angry at his family and at the dog but he loved them all.
Ugh I hate those "You can't do it but I can!" people...
It was never about actually liking the dog at all, but his possession. It was about his pride. No one's gonna take away his possession. Sure he doesn't like the possession anyway. But the important thing is the "win" against the people trying to take them away.
Can't bruise his ego by letting someone find out
@@tessaritter5339He didnt love the dog, at least not at first.
I love watching these especially on stressful days when I’m struggleing with my dog, it shows new tricks to try, things I need to avoid, and it makes me feel better and more hopeful about my dog and mine relationship.
Cet homme est absolument méprisable. Bravo Victoria de ne pas abandonner ce chien à ces mauvaises personnes
It makes me feel glad when victoria raises her voice at naive people. Good work victoria!
❤ I'm so proud of you 💐
I'm sorry that the adults are disrespectful to you.
I can't deny that. But having the commitment with 13 years?? That's amazing. I don't find the words but bless you and your dog and I hope everything goes well for both of you. I wish you just the best and much respect, which you DEFINITELY deserve. Hope you're proud of yourself as well.
Greetings. :)
Good on you for saving up to buy the dog, I hope you have many happy years together ❤❤❤
you are very mature for your age young lass well done you should be very proud of yourself and know now a lot of adults are idiots and you're far more intelligent judging by how you've gone about raising a dog well done i hope your paerents give you praise for how responsible you're being because it's impressive!!!!
Congratulations you have a Joe Biden dog.
That boy just roll his eyes at her when she said u need to sweep and mop the floor
Thank you Victoria for setting the family up for success with their pup. No looking back from this. Love more. ❤
The dog should be rehomed
You tell them Victoria I love her touch attitude and so smart and she has right to give orders and listen to her! ❤
Agreed you go Victoria
I agreed
I love how Victoria makes friends with all her clients and is open with everyone.
I know a lot of people wanted the dog taken from them. But it was actually very sweet to see how Joe bonded with the dog and wanted to continue the training.
I agree. I think it's great to let people have a chance to change before just saying "let's just rehome the dog from day one."
I think Joe just needed someone to show him how to really get to know Snooki and her potential
Moving from one chair to another whilst eating is about all this family can manage.
Chaos ruled there. I don't think they realized you don't have to live like that. Parents passing it down to the kids and all of them blaming the pup.
I LOVE THE LOOK ON TH KIDS FACE. LOVE YOU VICTORIA! YES THOSE YOUNG MEN SHOULD BE HELPING REGULARLY ROUND THE HOUSE
I think victoria is the sweetest ladie ever, but if she sees a dog that needs help, she will give it exactly what it is begging for ❤
This guy is a perfect example of what the world thinks yanks are like lol
I had similar thought. Was a bad advertisement for America.
Meh, I'm sure that was by design.
im so excited for joey and snookie’s future, i hope they succeded.
It makes me so happy to see how far they have come!
She has the calmest and smoothest mad voice
I hope that they continue to do the Search & Rescue training with Snookie... She's literally a Retriever... Golden Retrievers are made to search and find things.
That's awesome. I'm so happy for Snooki
"Lots of women need me"
"Yeah desperate ones"
LOL He brought that one on himself.
Walked into the arena without a helmet or shield, self destructed
Love how the one who seemed to be least likely to change and participate became the one who did the most and the dog loved the most. The kid doing the fire training and dog rescue was really great to see him care for the dog. The one son should never ever have an animal.
For a Golden Retriever to be that misbehaved is definitely an owner issue.
Victoria put so much effort for a family that didn't deserve it. Agree with some of the other comments, this dog deserves so much better and should have been re-homed. This family doesn't deserve a dog.
I’m laughing so hard as my border collie is just relaxing in my bed with me while Victoria gets sooo mad at them 😂😂😂❤❤❤
If they can't love the dog they should not have gotten it.
Didn’t the young apathetic over weight boy bring him home ?
It's sad but so realistic how this episode plays out. I'm hoping and praying that these people change their behaviors and give that dog a loving home. Really impressed that you took the time to find some root causes to the lack of engagement. I think that was the only way to have any impact. Your patience level is much higher than mine.
"it's boring" to play with the dog. It's a dog, that's how they play why'd they get a dog? For themselves clearly had nothing to do with giving a dog a healthy life and home.
Someone should make a TH-cam compilation about Victoria putting owners in their place 😂
id pay to watch that
I think I may have to do that when I have free time 😂 it’s always amazing to watch
Ik things started if really bad but I genuinely think they ended up taking good care of their dog because once they bonded with it they actually care more to keep up with the training
These people do not deserve a dog 😢
Victoria rescued a dog AND a family. Boundaries and rules needed. The youngest boy is definitely sick and need to see a doctor.
9:30 The guy, interrupting: "Most women need me"
Queen Victoria: "Desperate ones"
The guy: 👁👄👁
Honestly I think the dog is the brightest one in that family...
I can't belive the glow up in just two weeks like this is amaizng❤💖
Chad: Most women need me
Victoria: Desperate ones
😂😂😂 OMG I GUFFAWED SO LOUD
"desperate ones" The way I gasped hahaha this is well handled that woman is strong... haha
She didn't even do a good job with her son's and then gets a dog on top of this....
Her son bring the dog , because he wanted one without thinking the consequences, like a little brat that he is , but he isn't a little kid, and she allowed it, because she didn't set boundaries.
My niece at 3 years old was already feeding their dog (Juno the dog was here first ,then my sister had her daughters) she was taught to take the cup with the exactly amount that Juno eats, from the dog kibble container and put it in her bowl
