This baby like all the beautiful angels out there, is so very blessed to have finally met her soul mate & they both know it !!!

I Love a foster fail!
I don't know why foster fails make you so happy either. They make me absolutely weep - with tears of joy!! Sometimes, a furbaby is just supposed to be there, in that home that was supposed to be just temporary. I know that foster homes are absolutely essential to the system of adopting out furbabies, especially under certain circumstances, whether they be adverse or because it's a new mama. It takes very special people to do that! To be able to love for a while, then let go and let somebody else have all that joy, has got to be SO hard!! So when the foster fails, I think it's because the foster deserves to have some permanent happiness in their life!

It really breaks my heart that this sweet dog was supposed to go to a really good home and ends up back at the shelter almost starved to death. I truly wish there was a better way to know who the people that take these puppies really are like. I am just glad she found her way back to the people who showed her so much love in the beginning of her life.
Breed looks like a malinois, so only the most dedicated owners will be able to deal with them. Very demanding breed.
@@matrixcom69...I've heard that as well. But it doesn't explain why she was so emaciated, starving, and had chewed her tail to where it needed to be amputated. And goodness knows what else she went through in that supposedly "forever home". Poor Mary! But overall, I'm glad she was well enough to make it back to her original foster, where she found her correct and true forever home.
There is a record of the adopter and charges should be filed.
When my brother went to Hawaii for vacation , he signed up for “a take a shelter dog to the beach for a day” program. He ended up adopting the dog and flew him back home , but first the shelter did an interview with our mom to see if he was a good fit. They asked questions like “does he know how to care for a dog? Does he have a big backyard to play?” Etc. So i’m glad they took those extra steps instead of just handing over the dog.
They certainly didn't do a good background check, that's for sure

People who abuse animals need to be held accountable and be shown to the community so they stop committing crimes.They can't be given passes because they will do it over and over again.
Man, that was THE BEST Birthday present for him and for Mary. His breaking down and crying....priceless. Now we know Mary will live her best life!

I grew up not knowing there are men who can care and feel that much love, so now I love seeing what I didn't know existed, it's such a joy.
There is nothing so beautiful and special in this world than the love from a dog. It changed my life.
When he lost it, that was Beautiful. She is so lucky to have found her way back to Love.
Man, must have been rough and infuriating to see Mary in that sad condition, after raising her.

Doug is an absolute sweetheart for wanting her to stay with a family he knew was gonna treat her right.
I love the enthusiasm!! That’s exactly the home that beautiful baby should have ended up in! Shame on the folks that let her get in that terrible condition in the first place!
As someone who also fosters, this is one of my biggest fears: that your foster ends up adopted to a terrible home. Usually I just bring them back to the shelter when it's time for adoption, and then I never learn much about their future home. Glad that this sad story had a happy ending!

The fact that being able to adopt this dog put this man in tears let's you know that she is in a good place now. Finally with people who will love her and reciprocate the unconditional love she shows everyone else. Good for Mary, Doug and the rest of the family. Merry Christmas everyone.

I took a foster last weekend. She was due to euthanasia and VERY pregnant. We had eight pups born two days ago. It's...noisy around here lol

Frequent puppy foster here! If you ever want to give the puppies a little extra (and their mom will love it too), mix some goats milk, whole yogurt, egg yolks, and a dash of light corn syrup. Not as good as actual milk, but it's great if someone in the litter needs a little boost!

We do have the capacity to love unconditionally, however, most love with their *eyes* , whereas a dog loves from the heart only [and the belly;)] and "lives in the moment"! No next week or 5 minutes ago. IF you've ever owned a dog a you take out the trash or go get the mail, you've ONLY been gone for 30 seconds, that dog will greet you as if you'd been gone for 5 years:) *PRICELESS*

Since you knew who the ‘forever home’ owner is, why is it that an animal cruelty charge is not in place? I know you want to display only the good news but the truth is that until that happens, this so called animal lovers, will continue to abuse animals! It has to stop! I agree, the whole story should have been told including what if anything happened to the creatures that originally adopted the dog and then treated it cruelly.
I am so angry that the people at Mary's forever home when she was a puppy harmed her so badly. They should do serious jail time! However I am so glad Mary was rescued by her foster mom again and found her new forever home in a foster fail. Watching Dougs reaction was priceless. Made me tear up too.

You know dodo I'm turning into a sour grumpy old man, but you make it awfully hard to do that when you put videos like this out where I'm reminded on a daily basis that for every 10 dirt bags that are out destroying beautiful animals that we try to have the best lives for there's at least two or three out of those 10 that are willing to make the sacrifices and have the empathy and love and understanding to give dogs what they deserve. I sincerely appreciate you sharing these stories I need to see stories like this because where I live in Vermont all I see is just the opposite rich people thinking they're saving animals while they neglect them and forget about them. Great video for the holidays the people that rescued her are my heroes I appreciate you guys

Oh! What lovely people! I don't think the ladies in the fellow's life fully realised how deeply his investment with Mary went and were surprised and delighted by his reaction at opening his Xmas gift and realised they'd made him more filled with joy than they at first anticipated and they were so happy for him. It was beautiful. Mary didn't know what was happening but she knew it was good and was happy and I was crying 😊

I love how Mary was (of course) right up under Dad when he opened his gift of her adoption papers. Big kudos to the shelter folks who knew who she was, and called the folks who loved and nurtured her as a pup ❤️❤️❤️
@Lifesabeachnyc I'm guessing the six puppies may have been micro-chipped by the shelter, before being adopted. They don't tell us how old Mary was when the shelter received her back again? I wonder whether the new owner/s were even able to care for her adequately from Day 1. Hate that outcome for an innocent animal.

I just lost my dog 3 days ago and im still broken hearted by it... and this makes me cry, cry in a good way coz of how happy Doug was to be able to keep Mary. Am really happy Mary is in a forever loving home. Thank you for keeping Mary.
