The Rock is one of the biggest names in entertainment. As a wrestler, he achieved greatness and as an actor, he has become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood.
But what Height is Dwayne Johnson?
Is he as tall as the 6 foot 5 or 4 he has claimed to measure or billed whilst a Wrestler?

He is actually 6'2½'' barefeet and 6'3 ½'' in shoes. I believe he was 6'2¾'' or 6'3'' barefoot during his younger years, but never being shorter than 6'2" or taller than 6'3".

Agree. Even when I was in jr high, I thought Dwayne Johnson was maybe 6’3.5” at his peak at best. Anything more than that is just ridiculous!
I met the Rock when I was visiting Hollywood California back in 2015, He was definitely no more than 2 inches taller than me, and I'm a solid 6'1 (and we were both wearing some sort of thin sandals with no more than 0.5 inch of a height increase) So I'd say the Rock is definitely around the 6'2.5 range

The rock was around 6'2.75 peak just touching 190 cm ,he looked nearly 1.5 inches shorter than 6'4 Randy Orton.
Based on the Rock's appearances with Idris Elba and Michael Strahan, I would guess the Rock is in the 6'2" to 6'2.5" range today. He may have been close to 6'3" in his younger days, but that heavy weight training eventually compresses the spine. It is possible he may have lost some height. He looks similar in height as Idris Elba. According to most sources Idris Elba is 6'2" to 6'2.5". The Rock appears to be a good 2 inches shorter than Michael Strahan, who is confirmed as a strong 6'4". I would venture a guess that the Rock is a strong 6'2".
I hear the spinal compression theories all the time. When I was younger I had no reason not to believe them. Well, I’m 45 now and have been training heavy my entire adult life. +400lbs squats, deadlifts, heavy shoulder presses, etc.. in addition to jujitsu and grappling. I’m still the exact same height I was when I was full grown at 16. 🤷🏻♂️

Dude, it's not a theory. People get shorter with age and regularly doing heavy squats over an extended period of time definitely help with that.

Like I always say: we're either shorter than we look or taller than we look, but this doesn't justify with The Rock. If he were that tall, that means all the celebs should be at freaking 6' 7". I think he was 6' 5", but in his 20s, before joining the WWF. Or, he was just listed as such and was always 6' 4" until he retired in 2004 and pursued Hollywood. And with the amount of work for the body he built for himself throughout his 30s and to early 40s, as it is known to shrink, he may lost an inch or an inch and a half. He should embrace being 6' 2" or at least walk at 190cm. I wish I was that tall...

Hello Rob Paul. Greetings. I've been wanting to ask you this. When measuring height, anything below 0.4 mm's can be treated equally as the nearest mm, right? If 153.03 cm is exactly 5'0.25, and I measure exactly 153 cm's at night (only 0.3mm's under), I can calculate my night height as 5'0.25, and then add it up with my morning height, to calculate my average height, right?

Honestly you're probably right about The Rock. But I've met Kevin Hart and he's 5 foot max same as my sister. And Diesels max is about 5'9"; He wears these special shoes with 3 to 4 inch lifts you can buy online, and you can tell he wears them in all his movies

Doubt he’s 6’1 flat. Cena is a solid 6ft guy and maybe up to 6’ ½, the Rock just has slightly looser posture in those photos which could make him look a whole cm shorter

The rock is at least 2 inches shorter than david hasselhoff who is listed 6'4 he is probably shorter now he is older probably like 6'3 or right under 6'3 in 6'2 range. The rock next to charles berkley he looks like he is 6ft. Charles berkley even tho listed 6'6 has publicly said he is really 6'4. Even tho he got airforces on in that pic and the rock had maybe flatter shoes that looks like a 4 inch gap to me. The rock is solid 6'1 maybe just maybe 6'2 like weak 6'2 but def not taller than 6'2. The rock is also the same height as paul walker in photos without the rock wearing boots. Paul walker was listed as 6'0 until his death and then they changed his height to 6'2... But paul walker is a strong 6ft he is like 6ft 1/2 inch and the rock basically looks the same height.
@@quincy189 Movie heights inflate alot. They can make a celebrity appear taller or shorter. There’s a few photos of Ryan and the Rock standing beside eachother and they look about the same height. I dont think Hasselhoff has shrunk a full inch yet. Maybe ½ to ¾ an inch? The Rock looks 1.5-2 inches shorter than him. So 6’2 is likely. The problem is that the photos of them together are at the beach, which have a slope. Also Barkley is a weak 6’5. Still holding that up today at 6’4 1/2 to 3/4 to be specific, and takeoff the 1cm footwear advantage in that photo then doubt Rock is as short as 6’1. I could see Rock nowadays being 6’2 or maybe even 6’1 3/4. But in his peak he was likely over 6’2 ½.

I met the Rock back in 2002 when he was in Toronto and i was a legitimate 2 inches taller and im 6'4 1/2 so hes about 6'2 maybe 6' 2 1/2 but no 6'5

Rob what was average height when you were younger? Do you think it has mostly remained the same?
In the UK average height currently is about 5’9 ¼ but back then it could’ve been 5’8 ¾. 100 years ago it might’ve been as short as 5’8.
Hello rob. 5 years ago, when I came across youtube for the first time, when I measured my height like you, it was 174.5 cm. It was 1.76 when the pharmacy was measured. Why does the meter measure its height under 2 cm?

I have a friend who I thought is 1-2cm taller. BUT he has a visible smaller head than me. I was sure he wasn't taller if we measured !!!
I was right ! My eyes are at 176,9 at 11am and his is 178,3 ! Now it gets insteresting. Since the average eye-level is 11,5cm....He is below that with 10,9cm only and I have 12,3 cm !

On the Graham norton show he met Liam Hemsworth and Jeff Goldblum, they are 6.3 and 6.4 , he was clearly shorter than both of them.
Things like this make people think that 6’2 is not tall 😂 man I’m just 6’2 188cm and I’m taller than almost everyone and I see people who are 6’1 and think they are tall when compared to others.
I remember once Jim Ross said the rock goes 6ft 6 275LBS And I was like if triple h is 6ft 2 then rock does not look near 6ft 6 he is like 6ft 3 1/2 at most

Well average heights will slowly increase everywhere since younger adults are slowly getting taller. 50 years ago the average UK height was probably 5’8 ¾ to 5’9. Nowadays it’s around 5’9 ¼.
Evolution is very tricky. I wouldn't be surprised if height regressed.

I talked to a small time actor (a bodybuilder type I might add) who's around 5'9" and met him and said he's the same height as me. And I'm 6'4". I still kinda doubt it though. From the pictures and movies I've seen it seen it seems clear he's significantly shorter than he claims

@Alexi Barona Oh ok. I never had a big growth spurt from 13 to 14 tho. I was like 5'2 at 13 and 5'4 at 14. Then 5'6 at 15 and 5'8 at 16. I've been growing at a steady rate of 2inches lately. Hopefully I can get those last 2.

5’11 ¼ or 3/8s. Most of his listings are usually near their low, so afternoon is probably the time he lists them

If hes 6'0 out of bed and just under 181cm at night (so probably 5'11 1/8) then midday he'd likely be listed 5'11 3/8s, but Rob doesn't use eighths anymore so 5'11 ¼ is a likely and valid listing. You lose most of ur height within the first few hrs after waking up, by late afternoon (several hrs after waking up) ur usually at ur "low"

Its simply just body proportions and posture. Longer legs, big feet, smaller head will make u look taller, and having a straight body. Footwear can also affect how u appear, and hairdo as well

Well, at his peak, maybe 6 foot 3.25 or as tall as 6 foot 3.5 inches. That was very obvious when you saw him with 6 foot 2 DLO Brown and Rock was atleast an inch taller in his peak days. Even in the Mummy Shoot, he was as tall maybe slightly taller than 6 foot 2.5-6 foot 2.75 inch actor Brendan Fraser and a 6 foot 2-inch Arnold Vosloo.

@Jimmy Batson I saw Alec in Upper West Side at 77th and Broadway. He had Godzilla boots on and he walked very slow and a bit of a hunch. He was waiting to cross the street and I intentionally walked over just to see how tall he was. Not even 5'10" a weak 5'9". I was stunned. He gave off an aura of don't talk to me, don't look at me, and stay 10 feet away. I will never forget that day.

I had to laugh at your expression at 1:01. Back then when i started to watch wrestling, i didn't knew they slightly exaggerate the height and weight of wrestlers. So, i did thought the Rock was 6'5 and he seem like that when he stood with some other wrestlers i know. When he stood next to Batista, they seem like similar height and Batista is not 6'5 either. In one interview, the Rock said he was 6'4. You showed a picture of him with Brandon Routh, another similar picture i saw which had Dwayne with Will Smith and they both almost seemed like the same height. So, the prime height of Dwayne was 6'3, similar as Batista.

I am 6’2 at lunch (188cm) and I believe the rock is just half an inch taller than me. At his prime he looked a fully 6’3 guy but 6’5 is an exaggeration. 6’5 guys are really huge. I have friend who’s 6’5 he’s another level compared to 6’2-6’3

Camera angles my guy.. There’s a couple photos of them standing together and while Rock has a slight footwear advantage, the difference only looks about 2.5-3 inches in those photos. Joshua is almost 6’6 as well so even he dwarfs 6’2-6’2.5 Rock

Rock next to David haye looks shorter meaning he is under 6ft3. Rock next to Lennox Lewis who is just under 6ft 5 and rock is way shorter. I say Rock is just under 6ft 3.
He used to lift at the Golds Gym in Charlottesville, Va. My weight lifting partner was 6’4 3/4” barefoot and weighed 270lbs. He towered over the Rock. It became a joke in the gym that his name should be The Pebble. My guess at the time was that he was a solid 6’2”. This was around 2005 or so.

At 0:27 you can pause and see the height difference between The Rock and Hasselhoff.... Hasselhoff is guaranteed 6'4 (193 cm) and there seems to be atleast 5-6 cm difference between Rock and Hasselhoff... So Dwayne might be around 6'1.5 - weak 6'2 (187-188 cm) but not 6'3, 6'4 or 6'5.
