I tried Trader Joe's Almond Nog because I love eggnog but I can't drink milk without gaining a sick day or days. It was terrible! Did you guys add alcohol to it?
Bud’s Dairy of San Francisco has been my favorite for years. In 2020, it was unavailable. The website says they are in Thailand. My friend, who is 70, recalls hi father taking him to Bud’s I e Cream for a scoop. It was Bud who served him.
I LOVE my Darigold Old Fashioned EggNog! Since they are a Pacific Northwest company, & I'm from the Pacific Northwest, I'm happy to help support my local farmers that supplied the milk to make it!
Darigold is so freaking good! Thick, rich, creamy and full fat. I like grinding fresh nutmeg and adding it into it. Sadly I can't get it now that we moved back east...
I live in Arkansas and our WalMarts carry both varieties of DAIRYGOLD Eggnog: “Classic” and “Old-Fashioned”. Both are great traditional eggnogs but of the two my favorite is the Dairygold “Old-Fashioned”. I drink it more than all others. “HOOD” brand eggnog is very good. “TURKEY HILL” is great. So is “LACTAID” eggnog. “SOUTHERN COMFORT” is not bad, just average - that goes for both their “Classic” and “Vanilla spice”. But so far as the various brands of eggnog I’ve tried (and there have been many), DAIRYGOLD is king - especially their “Old-Fashioned” - followed closely by “HOOD” and “TURKEY HILL”.
I’m an eggnog EXPERT. It’s my only addiction in life. I personally drink GALLONS each year between Halloween and New Years Day and am VERY PICKY about my eggnog. I’ve tried MANY but only few are worthy of regular consumption. These folks are DEAD WRONG about Lactaid Eggnog. It’s VERY GOOD traditional tasting eggnog. But the best that I’ve had and drink more than any of the other brands sold in my area is “DAIRYGOLD”. Dairygold produces two versions: “Classic” Eggnog and “Old-Fashioned” Eggnog. Both are superb, but my favorite of the two is “Old-Fashioned”. Another great brand is “Hood”. And as I stated up front, “Lactaid” makes a real good eggnog. Don’t hesitate to try it.
I stopped listento the list when theybsaid how bad borders is, I personally like it. I haven't tried some of these other ones yet. But be sure I am going to go find them and buy them if they are available here in florida.
If you live in the S.F. Bay Area, the best egg nog, hands down, is Bud's egg nog. Like their ice cream. There is nothing like it...ANYWHERE! Southern Comfort egg nog is the closest I've been able to find, but it's not even close to the thickness and deep, richness of this nog. I used to buy quarts of it, put it in the freezer, then thaw it out in mid summer when you can really appreciate a good, cold drink. It is so thick and rich, you have to drink it a little at a time!😋🤗🥰
Also, this video was about non-alcoholic egg nogs. For a great alcoholic one I recommend (adults only) the Christian Brothers Holiday Nog. Absolutely awesome. Great texture and flavor and not over the top with sweetness or alcohol.
Southern Comfort eggnog in the black and white carton is top shelf stuff. My wife found it last year and it's now my favorite. Also $5 for 1/2 gallon, works. Anyway, you'll enjoy it.
Yes, it was my favorite UNTIL I found "KEMPS GOLDEN EGGNOG"‼️‼️❣️‼️‼️‼️ THAT'S 5 YEARS AGO AND IT DEFINITELY IS THE BEST THAT THERE IS! I'M ADDICTED TO IT ‼️

I'll have to try out Trader Joe's or Southern Comfort to see if the people that make these videos know what they're talking about. I've always been a fan of Braum's Egg Nog and I seem to remember Borden's Egg Nog being pretty good too. I'm pretty sure most Egg Nogs are made locally so I'm sure that the local area contribute somewhat to the Egg Nog offerings. For those that aren't familiar Braum's is an Oklahoma Dairy products store that has stores all over Oklahoma and parts of Texas -- they might have expanded to other nearby states like Arkansas and New Mexico but I don't know. I haven't tried ALDI's house brand Egg Nog but based on all their other "generic" brand products I bet their Egg Nog is great.
I realize Calder’s Dairy is most likely only sold in Michigan, while kirklands, horizon & Trader Joe’s are all decent none come close to Calder’s. A must have if visiting Michigan around the holiday’s. Might have to try Southern Comfort though, welcome all challengers! Haha
@@Cartier_specialist Most times I would agree. Kirkland batteries outlast Duracell. Most Kirkland branded products live under exactly the same recipe under a different brand name. In the case of the eggnog, though, it's just not as good as some others. That said, everyone's taste is different. I won't say it's _bad_, but I'll say it's not for me.
Huh! I was hoping that m favorite eggnog made the list and was surprised to see it #1! But I’m not that surprised, because Southern Comfort Vanilla Spice Eggnog is just freaking delicious. But I also wonder if this list is based purely on actual opinions, or if any of it has to do with paid promotion from certain brands.
In my opinion, some of the store brands here in Connecticut are the very best egg nonstick available. My favorites are Bowl and Basket from Shoprite, and the Stop and Shop brand.
The ABSOLUTE BEST egg nog I've ever tasted is Farm Stores (in Florida). It is thick, rich and has the best flavor and consistency of any egg nog I've ever tried.
Until last fall, Southern Comfort Traditional Egg Nog was my favorite until I read the ingredient statement which stated that it contained fructose. I now make my own eggnog with maple syrup, honey, or cane sugar. I will now be able to drink eggnog and eat eggnog ice cream all year long.
Publix's Grocery store brand is the very best out there. The stores are in the South Eastern States only. Thick creamy, perfect selection of spices, very addictive !!!

Southern Comfort Original tops all even though it seems thinner to me this year. But still the best on the market. The vanilla just doesn't belong in egg nog but some like it.
I'm EXTREMELY disappointed that you didn't even mention Southern Comfort Traditional Eggnog. My hands down favorite...and I've tried their Vanilla and didn't like it. My daughters are not the eggnog enthusiasts that I am and they all loved Silk Almond Nog for its thinner texture with the classic flavor. They find my SC eggnog much too thick.
@@Turnpost2552 nah they only mention the vanilla one. The traditional in the black carton I feel is better as well. Tastes more balanced instead of predominantly vanilla
Pennsylvania Dutch is by far the best alcoholic nog, and this is coming from someone who has probably tried every single brand. The Evan Williams nog was my favorite until I tried the Pennsylvania Dutch. It has just the right amount of booze........can catch a good buzz after a few cups but it's not so loaded down where you taste the booze over the eggnog. Seems like they found the perfect balance. Can still taste all the vanilla and spices which is rare for eggnog loaded with alcohol.
Southern Comfort Traditional is great. The Southern Comfort Vanilla Spice is too sweet for me. Darigold tasted good till you had the Southern Comfort. Both Trader Joes - regular and light - sucked.
Organic Valley Organic Egg Nog. GMO free. The only problem with that statement is that we really don't have/use ANY ingredient that ISN'T a Genetically Modified Organism. What's your favorite brand of eggnog?
Southern Comfort and Dean's
Prairy Farms (local Missouri dairy) Eggnog is nice, smooth and creamy

Southern comfort hands down

Yes, Darigold definitely makes the best eggnog!
In the Los angeles area, Alta dena eggnog is #1
Southern Comfort Traditional Egg Nog is also a top contender along side the Vanilla Spice version.
✔
Amen for both!!!!!
I get the regular one every year. Will hunt down the vanilla spice this year. Southern Comfort, my favorite.
The vanilla spice eggnog by southern comfort was and still is my favorite
Oh, I absolutely agree about the Southern Comfort Vanilla Spice Egg Nog. It's been my go-to drink for years when it's available.
If I'm not making my own, Southern Comfort Black & Braum's are def the best pre-made!

Try the regular one, as opposed to the vanilla spice. It is fabulous.
Calder's egg nog is the greatest egg nog on earth. There isn't another that even comes close to calders
I like the southern comfort brand. But the black carton not the extra vanilla one.
Then mix it with 4 Rose's bourbon.
Try it with Jack Daniels Honey.
Pennsylvania Dutch
My vote definitely goes to Darigold. I like the lack of sweetness, since the other flavors come out more when not overwhelmed by sugar.
Our local dairy Anderson Ericson here in Iowa makes some amazing eggnog.

Costco's Kirkland Signature is the best egg nog.
Not even close. Lucerne is the best you can buy in Canada.
