- Big Girl is still Top Dog among 8s bashers. Here's a side by side comparison between my two favorite large scale tires. Both have their advantages and can handle big power and high speeds. EPIC Solo and group session my friend. You got the Big girl wide open at the lake. Bummer on the knuckle snaps but that was hard tagged on the rock. Super satisfying watching Big girl soar thru the air and the sound of the flat landings. Both tires are very comparable but the fresh backflip tires are an instant favorite for overall situations. Another awesome session brother. I enjoyed it very much.

Am literally debating these 2 sets of tires right now! Lol thank you for helping sway my decision. I will be getting the prolines as i run 12s on my kraton, and 70mph is a pretty regular thing

Awesome Rip Rich watched it twice now. Well listened to it once and watched it the second time I’m not too sure about the new MX57 I really hope they hold up better than the original. I like the new backflips but they definitely have their place like you said, they do get a little sketchy on top end but you make it look super easy love it definitely had big girl out there getting it that pass through the water was pretty awesome too. That’s one of my favorite spots you Bash at what did you end up hitting out there was that a rock or a piece of driftwood either way it look like a pretty sudden stop killer rip as always, my friend.

Been waiting for months (since December) for the water level to drop out at Folsom Lake 😱🚀🚀. The sound of the tires was just nasty 😂. Angry cocaine elephant 🤣🤣. I tagged 3 boulders with that hit, a makeshift fire pit. Was trying to drift left, but the tires hooked up and shot the truck right at it. Not the first time I've hit stuff and won't be the last. The scenery and fun factor was well worth it 😍🤙🤙😎💪👊👊

Sick runs as usual bro, looked like an awesome day out. Those mx57 badlands makes some wicked noise on the pavement right 😂. Ive had my set a couple months now and i still laugh at it. When I give her the beans ol girl gets squirrely in the streets and drifts all 4, but eats nicely on any other terrain so far. 👊🏻🚀

@@richduperbash2966 Still out there with my fully equipped m2c racing TEC MT 410 and my fully modified Outcast V2. Really don't have the area to run any truck bigger than that but I am so content with those two trucks. They are my most favorite stunt trucks l have ever owned. Have a good one Rich. Keep making your videos l can't get enough of the jumps you do and l love how you go through the ass kicking bashers you build before you send them.

So Rich. Awesome bash - I’m still amazed by the air control 😎💪🏻. With the limitless 44 gearing would your batteries and ESC get crazy high temps?
Thanks so much Thomas 🤗. First ran 34/34 gearing with the 840kv years ago and the temps are perfect 😍. Max5 does awesome and so do the packs.
Another killer vid Rich, just have a question the last 2 runs I stripped the gears in my rear diff on the outcast 8s. I have it geared with the included 30t pinion and done earplugs in the center diff. The thing is I can't find anything about shimming the 8s diffs. Do you think the gearing / earplugs is just to much or am I just having bad luck...
Thanks so much Thomas 😊. You might just be having bad luck. If it's the ring gear, there should be a single bearing shim from the factory on the gear side. The internal diff gears usually won't strip unless the diff cup is damaged, screws come loose, or possibly the outdrive gets really jammed up 🤔. I haven't had any issues geared up or running Silicone ear plugs center.

Any plans on doing a 12s upgrade with a max5 G2 combo? If so, a running video would be in order for sure! I think alot of people are curious to how the M5g2 in 12S runs in a K8. Basically what would the pros and cons of 8s vs 12s in the arrma 8s cars.
No plans at the moment 🤗. Aldo Loyal has some great 12s G2 combo vids with his. I'm happy with 8s with the proper motor and gearing. She's fast as heck 😍

Hey Brother 🤗. I used an Outcast front tower and front shocks on my K8s. Kept the stock rear tower and shocks 🍻

Rich, what pinion and spur would you run on a Hobbywing Max5G2 800kv setup?
I'd probably try 34/34 or even over-gear the pinion 2-3 teeth if running 8s. 1/1 gearing is a good start with 800kv motors.
So you only switched the front shock tower to outcast tower and outcast front shocks as well ? I’m trying to do this mod.

I keep breaking the rear dog bone on my drive shafts. Am I doing something wrong?
You're not necessarily doing anything wrong. Driveshafts and pins can snap if you're landing on throttle or dumping the throttle hard over abrupt faces with heavier wheels and big power. They can also snap from bad wrecks. I've done it myself several times through the years.
Rich! Im running a identical set up to you except stock tires on my 8s kraton exb. And its over heating! Do you have any issues?
Absolutely no heat issues with this setup. My best guess (assuming your bearings are all good) is the stock EXB tires are ballooning and putting some added strain on the electronics. Could also be a weak connection/bad solder job.
@@richduperbash2966 the tires were ballooning pretty bad, i was giving her the beanz in a flat area alot. But i will check the soldering as well! Maybe get some masher xp’s thanks brotha!
If I remember correctly, you ran the 980kv hobbystar like I have and dropped down to the 840kv for longer run time and less heat ??? I have the 980kv in my o8s exb since getting it and still debating what I put back in my k8s since it's bin sitting since I got my o8s exb. Lol
I started with the 840kv in my K8s years back with 34/34 before experimenting with the 980, but in hindsight was experiencing cogging I thought was from over gearing before discovering a failing connector/solder job. Both are fantastic options with the right gearing. The 980 is perfect for the Outcast and fast as heck in the Kraton with killer top end.
@@richduperbash2966 ok I thought I remembered you haven the 980kv at some point. I have the 980kv geared 30p/39s in my o8s exb and it's perfect for it. The k8s it ran little hot with same gearing, but with a xmaxx heat sink and fan it was OK. On the o8s I don't have the need for the heat sink or fan so I'm thinking I'll keep it there and possibly try another kv motor for the k8s. I still have the xlx2 1100kv combo i got as a replacement for the same system that burnt up in my k8s when it first came out. Lol to afaid to run it an loss my whole truck possibly. Lol so gonna stick with something not castle. Have considered the new max5 g2 800kv 12s system since my k8s is loaded with upgrades that's got it a heavy metal machine. Not really looking to run 12s, but be cool to have the ability if I want to for open field runs when i travel with it to the park's to bash with friends. Have you tryed any of the g2 stuff yet ??
@@mikellewis2346I haven't tried any of the G2 stuff yet. Just don't feel compelled to run 12s with the power/speed I'm getting already. The Castle 1100 setup rips. That's what my buddy Victor has in his K8s. I hear you with the XLX2 though 😂. It's great when it's not catching on fire 😱

You need the Kraton chassis, rear center driveshaft, rear braces, and longer mudguards.

Nope. Just the O8s EXB RTR with the same electronics. I had run a 5687 1100 in my original K8s RTR before going to bigger power setups.
