    Man! Great video, my Midwest Brother! I'm from the Midwest, but I have been living in the South for the past 23 years! I ❤️ my XRT TOO! My wife doesn't think she can handle it, but I'm going to buy her one anyway! This thing is so much fun! I think that I'm a Traxxas O.G. because I've been a fan since '89'. I fell deeply in love with the Sledgehammer but couldn't afford it, and parents wouldn't buy it. They felt that it was too much money for a toy. Little did they know that I'd be 47 years old and still doing this. I've got about 35 RC'S now, some running, some broken, some that have been DC'D along with the parts. From 1/16th scale to 1/5th scale, electric, nitro, and gas. Great video brother keep doing what you're doing! PEACE! ✌🏾

    I’ve just ordered the XRT and I want to order extra diffoil. Do you know the stock diff oil from the front nd rear so I can top it off immediately when I received it. And the center diff, how many weight did you use, or do you advice to just use silicon earplugs right away in the centre diff? (Which generation do you advise for just mild bashing, no extreme jumps. My Outcast 8s hasnt earned my trust enough to jump that far with mine. I cannot keep it in one piece. I dont even jump the thing. Where i run it is very hard on RCs though. The only RC i can keep together where i run is one of my Super Rock Reys. I exclude my 5ive T from that as my typical spot is not remotely big enough for it.

  • @jman1989

    What center diff on the xrt are you talking about? 9:29

    • @midwestern_rc
      @midwestern_rc  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The center differential. There’s a front. Center. And rear. The motors pinion gear drives a spur gear connected to the center diff which stock is 20Mill fluid. It allows some power to go more to the front than the rear. I’d say like 60/40 front versus rear. When you put silicone earplugs in any center differential (it’s like welding a diff in a real car) you’re locking the differential and getting a 50/50 power distribution. Silicone earplugs in a center diff make it backflip easier and wheelie easier. But if you want better handling and turning leave it 20Mill

  • @DashzRight
    @DashzRight ปีที่แล้ว

    From my experience with the arrma 6s exb models and the Xmaxx all I can say is, 1100$ for the 8s outcast here in Spain, you need to buy an extra card to somehow program the esc and change a setting to not make the car feel like crap/explode tires, have to refill the oil inside the diffs with proper weight to make the car work somehow fun and not explode the tires, the exposed center diff is a grinder for motor wires and pebbles, the arms are made of glass for some reason, they don't bend they break with the most mild crashes and now have to spend more money in rpm arms, the servo saver is just wrongly made, it is way too stiff and Im counting the days until it breaks the servo, you literally pay for an average product, mechanic simulator, that is not very different from most of the other rc cars in the market, not to mention dealing with these stupid straps for the battery and the body clips that takes like 3 minutes to take off or put on, just for the handy battery locking system and the reinforced cage/no body clip designs on the traxxas makes them automatically worth it, how people recommend arrma over any high end traxxas car or even losi is beyond reckoning, guess arrmas must be cheaper in the states or some people just want to work on their car for the sake of it.
    And I thought: wow some of these arrma models don't look like they have half of the R&D traxxas has, but maybe if the community is so big with the kraton/outcasts these arrmas must be sick, terrible mistake.
    Most importantly: SICK AIR man, these fly like airplanes lmao

    • @midwestern_rc
      @midwestern_rc  ปีที่แล้ว

      I see a lot of your points. You should be able to program that ESC with the button though to adjust punch, LVC, brake rate etc. the way I see is is all RC cars break and when it comes down to fixing, tuning and modifying them that’s why I really like the arrmas. Plus they drive different. But again those are my personal preferences and everyone’s different. Traxxas definitely has a lot of benefits. But when my Xmaxx had all it’s center and rear differential issues it was a nightmare to work on and very time consuming. That’s why I did all the HD gears and fluids right away on the XRT so I hopefully won’t have any issues 🤝 and thank you! This was all in like 35 degree Fahrenheit too! Really shows how much the Traxxas plastics can handle 😎

  • @NepDouble07
    @NepDouble07 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Definitely agree with your opinion on the durability between Traxxas and Arrma 8s platforms. I'll still always love the Arrma vehicles, but I'd feel way more confident driving a Traxxas 8s.
    I'm a pretty light basher though, and I love how much easier to put large electronics in the 8s Arrma vehicles.

    • @midwestern_rc
      @midwestern_rc  ปีที่แล้ว +2
