I love this set of questions. It very much seems to be designed so that if you've paid attention to the class or have a good level of background knowledge, you'll do well.
Great video thanks a lot:) just a minor suggestion, it’d be even better if you can keep the questions and answers there while describing or explaining them bc some of them are quite long and I had to make a pause
@My Wine Diary i am a musician, but want to take certification for L1 (or equivalent).... wine is kind of a lifestyle and hobby for me... my question is should i look at CWS or WSET ???? admittedly, i am kinda ignorant on this...... i live in the deep south, so there arent many folks that i bump into that have this type knowledge. Your videos have been really useful for my studies. I received a 97% score on my Level 1 today. I think I know the question I slipped up on, the only one I’m guessing. Very happy and on to Level 2 😊

Jhoan, I took both of my levels online through the Napa Valley Wine Academy. I am not however sure that their prices are the most affordable. Do the research and remember that you can skip Level 1 and take Level 2 course right away!
I will say I just took the exam and there were more than several ? that did not follow the review ? in the class nor here. Like if your wine is hazy what does that mean. If the cork is dry what happens to the wine. Plus the proctor exam app was horrible and kept making me restart and it shut down in the middle of the test. Needless to say it was a very stressful test for what should be something quite easy. Then to add to that it takes 2 months to recieve the results on a 30 ? test .

Proctor Exam app never kicked me out, but it surely took some time for me to figure it out. And yes, I hated to wait long for my results too. I feel you, girl!

Hey there! The course is online, so I am sure yo can do it from anywhere in the world. As far as the certificate is concerned, I would ask this question from the school itself, in my case Napa Valley Wine Academy. Feel free to reach out to them about it.
Rakesh, once you sign up for the course you will be provided all the study materials, whether they are online or in a book form. Other than that you can watch TH-cam videos with sample exam questions, make sure to check out my Part 2 to this video with more study material. Good luck!

With respect to taking a course, is it advised to take both the CMS and WSET courses or would it be redundant to take both?
Although I know that some people chose to do both designations, I think that it's redundant.

Truly is a beginner level. But the levels DO get exponentially more difficult!

Is it necessary to pay for a course and can you self study and just take the test?
Back when I took my exam, it was not necessary to pay for the course, you could just self-study and pass the test OR skip to the Level 2 all along.
