It depends upon my mood too; when I first started drinking red wines, I fell in love with Merlot. I transitioned to Malbec, which I love and I enjoy them from all over the world. 2 years ago I was introduced to Cabernets by some good friends and I am enjoying the richness of Cabs. For me, I enjoy a more "chewy" wine with body. I agree with you, these are 5 wines that wine lovers should try.

I commented last month that I couldn't find the Macon - Verze Chardonnay and was sad. I was in Whole Foods the other day and thought I had found it, but when I got home it was Macon - Villages Chardonnay. Still enjoyed it! :)

Hi. You said in the vidio that Pinot Noir combine with chicken and fish. I toltaly agree! So... Here in the hotel must of customer prefer withe wine with those plates. There are another way to convince them?
That's a great question! I first and foremost want to emphasize that if the customer REALLY loves their chicken and fish with white wines- let them enjoy it without trying to convince them otherwise. However, it's great to encourage them to experiment with red wines for poultry and fish as well. We don't want a bold red wine to overpower those dishes, so stay away from suggesting Cabs & Malbec, etc. Instead- suggest for them to try chicken and fish with lither red wines like Beaujolais Nouveau, Grenache or Pinot Noir, and on top of that- serve it slightly chilled. If your restaurant serves those wines by glass, offer them a little taster before they make a commitment. And lastly, explore some fun options like Lambrusco! Good luck!
Have you tried Albariño from Uruguay? The country has roots in Galicia. They are getting better and better. Try it!

What I specificly take from this, as really all of it adds to my learnings of wine, is to pair fattier foods with higher acidity wines. I’ll try to remember this and get my group of friends to have an evening tasting/meal to experiencing this ”fact”. Yet another good reason to mingle! 🥂😊🥂

Thanks for the video and tips on food pairing! Over the last few weeks I've been looking at chardonnays to purchase to dive deep into it. My local region is Margaret River Western Australia, so I fortunately have an excellent starting point with Leeuwin Estates Art Series, Vasse Felix's Heytesbury, Cloudburst's chardonnay, Cullen's Kevin John, Domaine Naturaliste Artus, Pierro VR, Moss Wood, etc. Unfortunately though, they're all on the pricey side usually $80-200 a bottle.
All such great choices and great Cardonnays! However, I must agree with you that $80-200 a bottle is a lot to do a casual exploration on this variety. Try to find one of these instead: Cherubino, Leeuwin Estate or Walsh & Sons. Those are all solid Chardonnays and are under $40/bottle!

A quick search traces Chardonnay heritage to the Middle Ages, 1300's to be exact ;-)

Although I think that flashcards can certainly be very helpful; I also think that for Level 1 exam preparation specifically there are plenty of free resources available on the internet to get you fully ready for the examination.
