I actually do like how you've used the idea that the game is lying. It's so subtle but effective how the intro sets you up to think that there's an ending but there just never is

What's even more unsettling is that the remnants of past robots don't disappear, which emphasizes the creepy endless aspect of the game in my opinion...

Bill isn't in the game. that makes it sad. like the robot is trying SO HARD to find bill whether it's risking it's own robotic life, and putting it's soul in different body's. think about it.
Imagine if you added text every so often like: Bill? Where are you? I'll find you even if it takes all the time in the universe! Will I ever get to Bill? Does Bill even exist? I have no one else... Basically, make it sad or depressing so the player REALLY wants to find Bill to stop the suffering of this virtual robot.

Better idea for tying in the prompt: It’s procedurally generated, but there are menus formatted like those of games with designed levels (i.e. Angry Birds). In this way the game *lies* about its very nature, and the player is none the wiser, endlessly searching for the gateway to “Level 2”. _Eh?_
uncanny valley the robot gets anthropomorphize with the searching of his friend just a little too much like remember when the mars rover was like it's going dark, well this looks a little to much like a real life living and feeling robot, but not enough like a real life robot to fool us, so uncanny valley a thing that looks creepy because its so real but something small is off, gets put on something we anthropomorphize.
there should be a rare animation where the robot gives up and starts crying. He starts running to his house is. He sits in loneliness and proceeds to get angry just because he is tired. He gets flashbacks about bill and goes to sleep. then he passes out and the game over screen pops up. Bill never wakes up and then Bills POV pops up. And you start playing a completely new adventure as Bill in a completely new world that doesn't look anything like where is main robot was. Honestly this is more sad than it seems. The sad part is honestly that he never finds bill and that he is lonely by himself in a non-ending world.
Make a level counter that is like 1/10 and then when you get to 10 it changes to 10/20 and so on. So as soon as you think your almost done it just keeps going
or the level counter would be like "level 1/20" but when you hit 20 levels, the game keeps going, so something like "level 21/20" would happen after that point. It will keep going until you hit level 9,223,372,036,854,775,807/20 (64-bit integer limit) and the robot is still looking for Bill, but when the robot goes to the next level, it is just pitch dark, as the level counter's true limit is 9,223,372,036,854,775,807, the robot has reached the end. There is no end screen though, so the robot is now going to spend an eternity in the void, still looking for Bill.

If you ever did go back and update this game, you should add an extremely tiny possibility for a graphic of another robot character to appear just out of reach at the edge of the screen - but despawn as soon as it is out of view. Just to fuck with people.
@@taze9092 mate, i have only 16 demons, 15 of which are easy demons, the only other one is fractured circles, and I have 85% on jawbreaker. Its quite debatable who the worst player is, but i nominate myself. Also, yes i am aware this is a joke, i am just sharing my garbage stats
@@kelpyg4291 in my 12 demons are 2 mediums (space magic or magic space im not sure rn and bloodbath z) and 1 insane (big boom, wich was only 500 att and therefore 100% luck) so i would say im the luckier one lol
That's exactly how I feel doing music :D Awesome work Sam, really! Think it's a great idea having RNG platforms. Also the addition of the eye animations is a subtle touch but I think it makes the character feel so much better!
Oh thanks again Garrett! I think my favorite part of this was probably making the eye animations. I wanted to add some more stuff like little non-eye things playing on his screen but ran out of time.
When I heard the theme, I instantly thought schizophrenic. You play as someone with schizophrenia, doing tasks for people, maintaining relationships, and the game has a spooky atmosphere. But it is, quite literally, all in your head. Some of the relationships are real, some aren’t. The spookiness is completely fake, but is still very scary without medication. And at the beginning, the tasks are all real, but as you get along they become more and more absurd, and at the end of the game you get diagnosed, medicated, and you find out what’s been really going on. Then you get married to the tutorial npc :)
I can imagine a speed run where you play until your game/computer crashes. 2 categories, one that times you depending on how long it it takes your game to crash. And another where it times you depending on how fast you can crash. (ideally played on a potato)

Actually I do kinda get that, gives off a creepy vibe to me
uncanny valley the robot gets anthropomorphize with the searching of his friend just a little too much like remember when the mars rover was like it's going dark, well this looks a little to much like a real life living and feeling robot, but not enough like a real life robot to fool us, so uncanny valley a thing that looks creepy because its so real but something small is off, gets put on something we anthropomorphize.

there should be a rare animation where the robot gives up and starts crying. He starts running to his house is. He sits in loneliness and proceeds to get angry just because he is tired. He gets flashbacks about bill and goes to sleep. then he passes out and the game over screen pops up. Bill never wakes up and then Bills POV pops up. And you start playing a completely new adventure as Bill in a completely new world that doesn't look anything like where is main robot was. Honestly this is more sad than it seems. The sad part is honestly that he never finds bill and that he is lonely by himself in a non-ending world.
PLOT TWIST!: the robot finds bill every time you turn off the game, and he runs off every time you boot it back up

Make a level counter that is like 1/10 and then when you get to 10 it changes to 10/20 and so on. So as soon as you think your almost done it just keeps going
That would be a plot twist
or the level counter would be like "level 1/20" but when you hit 20 levels, the game keeps going, so something like "level 21/20" would happen after that point. It will keep going until you hit level 9,223,372,036,854,775,807/20 (64-bit integer limit) and the robot is still looking for Bill, but when the robot goes to the next level, it is just pitch dark, as the level counter's true limit is 9,223,372,036,854,775,807, the robot has reached the end. There is no end screen though, so the robot is now going to spend an eternity in the void, still looking for Bill.

If you ever did go back and update this game, you should add an extremely tiny possibility for a graphic of another robot character to appear just out of reach at the edge of the screen - but despawn as soon as it is out of view. Just to fuck with people.

That's exactly how I feel doing music :D Awesome work Sam, really! Think it's a great idea having RNG platforms. Also the addition of the eye animations is a subtle touch but I think it makes the character feel so much better!
Oh thanks again Garrett! I think my favorite part of this was probably making the eye animations. I wanted to add some more stuff like little non-eye things playing on his screen but ran out of time.

When I heard the theme, I instantly thought schizophrenic. You play as someone with schizophrenia, doing tasks for people, maintaining relationships, and the game has a spooky atmosphere. But it is, quite literally, all in your head. Some of the relationships are real, some aren’t. The spookiness is completely fake, but is still very scary without medication. And at the beginning, the tasks are all real, but as you get along they become more and more absurd, and at the end of the game you get diagnosed, medicated, and you find out what’s been really going on. Then you get married to the tutorial npc :)
I can imagine a speed run where you play until your game/computer crashes. 2 categories, one that times you depending on how long it it takes your game to crash. And another where it times you depending on how fast you can crash. (ideally played on a potato)
