30 NEW CAMP Locations in Skyline Valley on Fallout 76 2024

- The map expansion for Fallout 76 is here with the Skyline Valley update, and I have been exploring and documenting my findings in the PTS! Here are 30 unique spots that I was able to find that I think will make great locations to build new camps! I found 10 notable spots, 10 water spots, and 10 flat spots, and I am excited to see what your favorite is!

the dump could be amazing for when we get to become ghouls early next year, if becoming a ghoul does actually make us immune to rads like it should. like you became a ghoul and everyone started hating you so you found this irradiated waste dump in a swamp and decided to settle down there so people wouldn't bother you.

There's a spot SE of camp liberty on the corner edge of SLV with a garden (perfect for herb builds, free resources) and also fenced off(mostly)

The last location would be ideal place for the scout's bus and minimal external camp with the Summer Camp as main area to view. Still no snow locations.
that's a great idea! I really love that bus (but i dont love the lighting inside the shelter itself)
@@misterchurch666 Word of warning, the Summer Camp shelter, has a lot a places where items just sink below the ground level. Above the pond area, seems to be the worst part for sinking. Maybe it is supposed to quicksand. Bethesda quality control and testing strikes again.
I set up a camp just up from the Naked Creek, the Threshers came to look for me and did attack me unprovoked. I also encounters a Blue Devil after a lightning bolt hit the satellite, making that sound that is made when you activate the Mirelurk signal at Specticle Island in 4

I made a camp at that ice cream spot. Its a rad little location. Next one will be one of the waterfalls. 😊 You can add items inside the ice cream shop too.

I had a camp built along the old southern edge in between what is now the weather station and the ranger station on the north of the expansion. They raised the ground for some reason so now my camp is half underground. Still useable and kinda looks cool
I had a similar thing happen to my mansion under the map, except they lowered the ground so it’s floating and you can’t get down in there anymore (I mean I can make a new entrance but heh) lol it’s ruined

Idk if you showed it, I was making my own camp at the time. But by the radio tower part of the new quests that's guarded by Mutants, is a tree house up the hill. I put my camp there and turned the tree house into a store/ workshop. There's also a body on the steps that you can use the new "arrow props" along with a "no trespassing sign" overall I think it's a decent area. Im not the best builder, but I'd definitely like to see what you can do with that, cause you gotta use rugs to place objects in the tree house. Maybe one day if you're on, you can hop in my lobby or vice versa. And I can show you what I did. Overall good video Church🤟
the Location at 20:28 didn't work out well for my camp, but a short walk slightly down from it along the River had the perfect spot for my Camp and so far no one has used the small Pool of Water so my Camp has placed 100% of the time, only downside (and something you might not have known) is it's right on a Radstag spawn so whenever i spawn into a private world or someone joins a server and causes a mob reset, a bunch of Radstags Spawn and attack the base, that said a few glowing Radstags is not really a deal breaker compared to constant Super Mutant spawns or Nukes
The Three Ponds Overlook is a great place. I'm gonna do one of those glass bridge skywalk deals there.
How do I get glass bridge floors
By using glass roofs creatively.
I'm going to try to build a blue ridge camp near that playground area. And I'm going to test the weather station thing. I hope we can use them here, at least in the not so stormy areas. Great camp spots shown👍 I'm currently still waiting for the update to download lol.

@misterchurch666 The weather stations actually work. I'm really surprised. My camp is right by the trading post, so it's in the super dark part of the storm. But I kind of like the ambiance of the dim lights I had placed lol.
Nice video, thanks for this, lots of places to explore. I don’t think I’d build in the first “Scariest Camp spots in America” set.😱 I like the ‘Comrade Chubs’, ‘Waterfall of Specialness’ and the southern ‘Massive Trees areas’. Water & High places with a view are my favs tho. It’s tempting, but I’ll probably avoid 3 ponds for now (I still build in the ‘ugly stuff’ category and don’t want to contribute😂) Looking forward to seeing what u come up with at any of these new locations. Don’t make us wait too long please!☺👍
Three ponds is intimidating because it is a hard area to compliment rather than compost on XD

No, that one is a bit tricky and you need to place the module near the back of the parking lot near the building :)

All of these lovations look so great, I want to build at all of them. Maybe one of those islands can be a retry of the camp I once built at lake eloise with less visitors respawning the floaters that then murder them

I also cannot wait to see people use a weather station to hide the new storms. Nothing helps my immersion more than walking up to a clean pre war house and blue skies.

I set up my camp built around the sandbox at the playground. Only downside was the lighting strikes theswing set constantly. Destroyed the new tent i set next to it.

About a week or two ago I built a camp on the southern most edge of the map on a high ridge overlooking the new region. I’m interested to see if my camp is still there and what the view looks like now.
If it’s there, there’s a chance it’s floating, some of the terrain has been adjusted in the area

I built at Waterfall of specialness... Completely enclosed it, now it's my own personal waterfall that nobody else can get to.

There is a big dryish pond left near old crimora mines that got an ogua spawning in the middle of it ya could make a camp with it AS a pet because it refuses to leave the pond unless ya get close or got turrets
Oh yeah! That’s a nice spot too, I didn’t find that till a few days ago!
My only gripe about the new region is that the game won't show where a nuke lands in that region. 99% of the time a nuke will start the event but to the 1% chance, you will not know if your base is getting ground zeroed. Otherwise, this region has some of the best real estate for building thus far.

It's intentional,the effects of the storm cover the area neutralizing nuke locations...

Logged on for like 15 minutes during my lunch break and there were already four or five player camps in the new area. 😅 Love all the new waterfall places, but I'm a sucker for a cliff top view.
There are so many great views with this one - I guess it helps that it’s a valley xD
You missed a couple.
Ogua Nest - Just SW of Old Crimora.
Secret TNT Dome - W & a little S of Ogua Nest. Right above a little stain. Kinda hard to find.
Basically 4 waterfalls in that region 😮 sweeeeeet!
Can you do a build guide on how to build your house into the side of a cliff face? Specifically, how to line the foundation up so the walls can lie flush with the rock face
That can be tricky depending on how you go about it, but I will think about the idea!!
FYI, if you happen to have a campin an older location, the clift in the south west corner over looking the ash heap, depending on how tucked away your camp is it may no longer be accessible. Mine is not. Says its out of bounds. I am sad, was my best camp.
My underground mansion that I built near where the motherlode was beneath the earth is ruined lmao the ground was all lowered and it’s all floating

The naked creek spot thrasher, theres now 3 of them and sometimes a blue devil 😂 and they're not friendly, otherwise i so would have made a new petting zoo 😂
It looks like Naked Creek was changed for release, cause now instead of a friendly Thrasher it's a gaggle of hostile ones and some pheasants. Really sad cause I wanted a pet turkey raptor :(

If you mean the trailer that’s in the road, I wasn’t able to put my camp down there for some reason 😫 I actually noticed a LOT of the roads you can’t build on, not sure why. I had the same thought when I saw that trailer! I’m keeping an eye out for other reclaim builds ☺️

#10 the ice cream shop spot seems to be having issues atleast for me. gives me the cant place near existing structures message.
try placing it on the roof of the shop/close to that area in the parking lot, you cant go too close to the road or it turns red! If it still doesn't work, it's because there is a survival tent nearby most likely

unfortunately not, but there is a trading post that is kind of like the nuka world on tour crafting area
@@misterchurch666 That should work. A vendor and legendary scrap machine from walking distance from my camp is mandatory I think. I like to make nice builds. Not a big fan of having to fast travel the whole time.

There are several! I saw a junk spot, and there were a couple others I dont remember which

@@misterchurch666 lighting seems to be an issue in all the open shelters like the wasteland ones we got. Although I haven’t seen this one yet so hopefully it’s at least manageable so I can actually try and build something that looks good. All the shelters besides the root cellar are just too big to do anything with that looks good
Since I've watched this video, I've watched probably 10 other videos on the same subject, and they all seem to have watched your video. Not one video has shown an original spot they all seem to be copying your locations. These people might as well title their videos. 5 spots Mr. Church already shared.

resource nodes? yes! I don't know how many or what all types there are, but I saw at least two, one of them was a junk extraction spot

It wouldnt ket me set up a camp in the cave, nor the beach unless i was off the gravel, just far enough away from the water where the camp civle diesnt reach it
for the cave you can set up inside the cave or above it, if the beach with the tire swing isnt working, someone might have a fast travel tent blocking it or something

Just tried to build at the ice cream shop and it will not let you sadly :(
I just double checked and you can! Make sure your module is closer to the back of the shop, it won’t let you place it near that camper in the road. Also make sure no one has any survival tents nearby - those have massive footprints

The ice cream shop location doesn't work. :(
It does don’t worry! I double checked today in a private server! Make sure you are placing the module down near the back of the shop, if you get too close to the road it turns red. Also it helps to do it in a private server in case someone has a tent nearby that blocks the surround 40 miles
I found an absolutely perfect flat spot near the southern border and it's absolutely worthless because Bethesda fucked up with the lighting and if you walk past a certain point across the entire length of the map border it somehow disables shadows for camp items and looks like shit.

You can! Others have had this same issue, just make sure 1) no fast travel tents or camps are anywhere around, and 2) you have to place it in the back corner of the parking lot near the building ☺️
