A jouhikko is typically in a boat like shape, with only two strings available to play on, whereas a tagelharpa is usually rectangular and might have more strings. Other than that they are functionally the same.
Can you guys tell me what's the difference between Jouhikko and Tagelharpa?
None, Jouhikko is just the finnish name for Taglharpa.
I've observed that Tagelharpa tends to have four strings, but Jouhikko and Hiiu Kannel (The Estonian version) have generally three strings.
