- The ill-fated Kanchenjunga Express that was rammed in its rear bogies by a goods train on Monday morning made its way back to its destination, the Sealdah station in Kolkata during the wee-hours of Tuesday morning. The passengers who were aboard the train heaved a sigh of relief as they stepped onto the platform of the railway station, recalling the horrors at the very moment of the accident.

During UPA one major accident the railway minister had to resign. Coromondal accident as well occurred during the same railway minister but still he has been awarded second term as railway minister . No accountability!! No responsibility!!
Surprised to see no railway authorities.. No arrangements made by the railways to recieve the passengers under trauma. Atleadt they could have made some arrangement of medical team and battery car service for the elderly to drop them off.. such a shame IR

Results are obvious. But the cause of such accidents year after year? What is the efficacy of so called 'Kabach'. All are eye wash. Showing the grounds of safety Train fare for Mail / Express trains have been shoot up, will remain excuse only. The Railway Minister, the Railway Board, the technical hands down the line should be held responsible and answerable to the People of India, why they will not face punishments / step-downs. Non maintenance of railway signals, tracks , over hours of work by loco pilots without toilet or AC facility in their cabins , non filling up of 3/ 4 lakhs jobs ( shortage of staffs) are the reasons of such accidents. Railway journey is not safe nowadays.

Har baar train accidents ho raha hai aur modi group loco pilots, enggs ko susoend kar deti hai jabki responsible railway minister hai,tracks maintainance zero hai,loco pilots hours together trains chala rahey hai,zero facilities hai loco pilots ke liye,kya ab trsins mein travel karna safe nahi??kya trains mein travel karna safe nahi ?kyo saari trains mein anti collision system nahi hai ???

Flight even if it's rear or front collision Survival is 0.1 percent but thankfully it was a train and that's why we see many returning home to there loved ones. I also strongly feel this goods train was hijacked or was a suicide. Else how can a loco pilot disobey 10 kms memo ?! Sochne wala baat hai

Caution orders means 10 to 15 mkp hour if plc fail in signaling system caution orders board fixed betwen 2 signal pole so that loco pilot follow but station master not done this main cause for accident this in my opinion in railway system abhijeet.

Railway need to develop their Staff, Track, Signal and Others. Loco- Pilot mentally disturb he over time ke liye and Inka Kawaz to pata nai kaha gum ho gya he. Ye compensation dene se kisi ki life return nai ho jayega.

Every year these new ministers announce new trains without having new tracts or coaches, that's the sordid story.
