    Small correction, Indian civil servants do not have to be politicians to be a civil servant. They are more like government employees.

      Indian civil servants are Govt employee who holds higher power position chief police officer, chief revenue administrator officer, secretary, director etc in every States according to qualifications.
      There are other govt employees which performs basic tasks. Indian civil servant is tough to even pass their entrance exam 0.3% success rate.

      @@shrin210 Fair enough, I might've been confusing terms. Still, not necessarily politicians.

    • @arunsar7893
      @arunsar7893 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      @@thearpox7873 Government Employees are is a broader term. India has a Socialist background, which means govt was, and still is, involved in activities which are run privately in the US. For example, Indian Railways is run by the Indian Govt and hence all the employees are referred to as Govt. Employees. Technically, even the Army, Navy and Airforce employees are also government employees.
      However, Civil Services is a sub-category of 'Government Employee' who are recruited to administrative positions by going through a selection process. They form the top positions of bureaucracy in India. Unlike the US, for example, the Chief of Staff (called Principal Secretary of Prime Ministers Office in India) is a Civil Servant.
      None of them are politicians cause they don't fight elections.

    • @rairai7395
      @rairai7395 ปีที่แล้ว

      Simply, Indian civil servants form the Permanent Executives while politicians form the Elected Executives (and also Legislators) in the Government of India.

Though it's not like India is that much better, when Sonia became INC leader, nationalist congress party was formed to oppose her and then she made manmohan PM instead of taking it herself even though he was really a bureaucrat and not a good politician/speaker. Quick question, why include Pakistani politicians when the title talks about Indian people? interesting..

      Namrata Nikki Randhawa is her name and her family has always called her Nikki, which means "Little one" and so is the name she has gone by.
      She was Nikki Randhawa until she married Michael Haley and after marriage, took on his surname, like women have done for centuries.
      Hence her name - Nikki Haley
