Sebastian: "I haven't set foot in that house since the day I was born" Pluto: "And you probably didn't step in it 'cause babies don't walk" That was the best EVER!!! LOL!!!
I love this campaign. I just love this cosmic-horror, Lovecraftian, Bloodbornish style of story and this is the type of people I actually prefer to watch play DnD: good friends, no fluffed up roleplay and real people. The fact you are so funny also helps a lot!
I've been thinking that Drakkenheim reminds me of Dark Souls. A ruined city full of the corrupted husks of it's old residents and rulers. The only friendly faces other adventures. Definitely similar to Bloodborn too. I dig it
I really love the "small group playing a real game of d&d". I just started playing a few months ago ... and this really takes the best parts of playing and proudly shows it to us the viewers. Love the show
Pluto is tha best! I haven't seen in my many years of playing D&D a player/character willing to do as much as he does for the party and story. And the comic relief is the best, i think that most of the players wouldn't be that cool in a situation like that!
yeah.. let's just hope Pluto doesn't talk adnauseum about the time he shat his pants for science in the next inn. and yes I know.. the campaign is over and pluto's probably a done character.. but maybe he is out there regaling someone about his times as an adventurer!
I enjoy watching this Dungeons of Drakkenheim more than most of the other channels. The players here have amazing chemistry and aren't too over the top with voices/role play. It's so refreshing
I love Dungeons of Drakkenheim! Finally a stream with just enough people so I can easy comprehend while cooking, painting miniatures etc. Love the setting, love the people (Kelly fanboi here
Grand session, y’all. Really enjoyed the Soylent Green drop, Kelly. I am enjoying catching up on the slow tip, but I believe I am sold enough on your combined entertainment skills and invested enough in these characters that I can start catching up on your other series concurrent to this one. Thanks for entertaining a bedridden old man. Y’all rock.
Yes!!! Been looking forward to the return! I’ve never played a game of D&D in my life. Never really had any interest. But somehow stumbled onto the Dungeon Dudes and can’t get enough! Huge fan from small town USA!
This is about as good as it gets. Most games Player Characters don't role play to this extent or at all. D&D is fun and its more fun if you can do it in person. Roll 20 and other online tabletop platforms are another option.
The best part about Pluto’s last line is that he is still so exhausted, I picture him sitting there leaning with his head in his hands and barely even looking up to chime in with that brilliant gem!
Still watching, but I love that it's like 20 minutes into their discussion about the haze plan when finally Sebastian asks if they should be worried about enemies! The deep haze reminds me of a classic "you can't come here until higher levels" barrier and the PC's are just now piecing together that there could be some nasty stuff in there.
As you enter the haze you hear the voice of a man singing from atop a distant roof..."EXCUSE ME WHILE I KISS THE SKY !!!" Can't believe there weren't any veiled references to Jimmy Hendrix while in the "purple haze".
Listening in my headphones in 2021, walking through the streets of Montreal. So many stores boarded up now. Most of us wearing masks and waiting to get vaccinated. The storyline is so fitting, your obvious camaraderie is a balm on the loneliness.
First, when Irish McIrish takes of his glasses we get a glimpse of the fox he truly is. Second, I love Sebastian's propensity for announcing his name, and also saying, "what's the worst that could happen?" Third, how did Joe not sing "shot through the heart, with none to blame, you give Haze a bad name"
It’s one of those spells where you read it in the book and think well that probably won’t be that useful but when you have it in game you realize how many creative ways you can cast it.
Monty I am impressed with your knowledge, specifically at 2:14:21 about the difference of certain smells, poop vs the rotting smell. You are either very well read or you have a job that exposes you to such things. I have had the very unfortunate experience to know both those smells. But for sure the rottening flesh smell is very particular and horribly memorable.
Man, I really feel for Pluto and that purge. A couple of years ago I was at a Ren Fest in the summer doing a armoured combat demo. It was 100°f and humid as hell. Halfway through the demo, while wearing 68lbs of full plate, food poisoning hit me like a truck. I finished my portion, and left the field and ran for the port o john about 100 yards away. I stepped into the handycap one, because it had more room, yanked off my helm, in buckled my leg harness, unbuckled the belt holding my legs, reached under my chain shirt to untie my braes, and just barely made it to the toilet in time. 45 min later I grabbed my leg armour and helm and staggered back to our camp for water. It was a rough time, but I promise, you can get off enough kit to do what needs to be done in just a minute!
The clever use of spells (like the Rope Trick) is great. As cool and fun as Vale and Pluto look with their ears and helmet; Sebastian is hilarious when wearing his goggles. Note to self: don't poke puddles.
I absolutely love how Sebastian and Veo convinced Pluto to go through the whole Aqua Expurgio experiment only to absolutely be total assholes when the side effects took over. Quality friends those are!
@@nathanbaca5131 nah it works. it was for being dextrous enough to find out you can shimmy out of your armor before ya crap all over it. also would have been more tedious/disasterous if he failed a CON AND DEX SAVE.
I'm relatively new to the channel and super excited to have fantastic players and DMs to watch. This and Critical Role are all one needs... other than a game to play in themselves lolol
Hi it is. Now 06/2022 and I finally have been watching these episodes. Wow! Simply awesome! Excellent chemistry, story, and NPC’s. I am watching at least 1 episode a day!
This episode so far has confirmed for me that Veo and Sebastian are definitely evil characters. Self serving, with zero compassion for Pluto, and I feel it's only a matter of time before the group is betrayed.. just imo of course. Feeling such dread for poor Pluto's character. Beyond that, Jill Kelley and Joe are doing such a great job, props for keeping us on the edge of our seat. Monte = amazing storytelling once again.
Watching in 2024, the only DnD campaign that I could watch and enjoy as I am usually not someone that likes to player rather than watch, but this is an exception, the series is a banger
Missed you guys. The break in schedule makes me watch most of the upload almost right away and end up with less to watch over the week. Hope that with the hoilday season done, we'll be back on weekly!
I'm really enjoying this campaign. The volume is finally sounding a lot better!!! I wish they would figure out how much gold they've been getting so they could purchase those magical items from the vendor in town. Lol but they forgot about blood samples ;)
Fought one of those in a demons personal dimension where everything was chocolate, including us.... the fact that we could eat it if we wanted to only made the encounter more terrifying
went ahead and ordered some of the skullsplitter dice, even tho the shipping costs are more then the actual product for me since i live in the netherlands. my dice i bought at a local shop have been cursed or something, so having youtube proof of a full session that did not include 14 natural 1's for one person in a session with only 4 rolls above 10 at all, convinced me. i mean the next nearest place i could get them is quite far away too, so since the ones from the local shop are failing me, i ordered a basic dice set. if i like them im definitely going to check out some of the other stuff, because i already saw some dice and some boxes i definitely want in the future :3
"Tell Oscar the rules of the queen so he doesn't die." That is the queue for the DM to say, "There is a horrible shriek, and Oscar comes stumbling into the room and fall over dead burned and you hear a woman run shrieking up the stair and out into the night. Whoops!
Can someone make a gif of the baby comment reaction just before 2:40:00, i need that in my life 😂😂 Loving this series so much; amazing design inspirations and PC actions, and soooo funny!
guys what you do here is really special, I stopped watching netflix because I found this so entertaining. Also I'm vicariously playing dnd with you lol
Whether or not Pluto was thinking about it that far in advance or not at about 1:59:00 , gathering all those supplies was a smart idea. It would certainly lead credence to Sebastian being a scientist if it were all set up in the clock tower if Oscar were to visit. Of course, it does matter if they decide to keep these things, pawn it off, or taken by the Hooded Lanterns. Afterthought: Oh no... I just remembered that River said she wanted blood samples from before and AFTER the person used those potions! She probably won't be completely happy with the results they give her.
I had to wait until my 49th year to understand what powerful DMing means. I even decided to become a patron. Thank you so much for revealing the endless possibilities that tabletop RPGs can offer!! You guys rock.
Knossos had some sewage systems and that's few thousands of years ago. So did Roman empire a bit later... But in many middle age towns there were none...
Jill plays Veo as sorta a sociopath-y way really well tbh, switching between affable, bright and lighthearted to incredibly Machiavellian, distrusting & narcissistic.
“Uhh you probably didn’t even walk in that house either. Which is even MORE mind blowing... I mean unless you came out like a baby deer just running...” hahahahaha Pluto Jackson in my mind would be played by Carl Pilkington from Idiot Abroad.
Pluto is walking like his pants are about to be ruined, Veo is delirium whacked, and Sebastian is hazed... You guys got REKT... proper rekt. Remind me to pack a bag of holding to use as a diaper/barfbag.
So… how exactly does one “save” Drakkenheim? With the city depopulated, I’m not sure wether they’re dead or fled who is going to live there? How are you going to feed them as presumably the agriculture centers needed to feed the city as gone fallow given the lack of need over the past 15 years. Will the trade routes come back as logically people just wouldn’t stop but found and invested in new routes. Also given that the kingdom has “fallen” what happens to Drakkenheim’s territory. Some thing else I’m unsure of is is it a city state or are their other towns/cities etc. Either Way it’s likely those lands are now claimed by the surrounding kingdoms. There’s also the possibility of those surrounding kingdoms invading to stop the reemergence of a rival or simply to claim the “saved” city for themselves.
Enjoy people this what actual DnD looks like.....a much more realistic expectation than shows like critical role and acquisitions inc which feature comedians, actors, and writers.

I really appreciate the dm's style. It makes me feel like I could do something like that with my friends. Thanks to all of you guys though!
The amount of work & preparation Monty has put into setting and story is probably ridiculous. Its truly masterful.
Monty is boss.
I hope you started your first game, bro.
Shoutouts to Paul for switching shifts
Not all heroes wear capes
Or deal 80 damage in a single turn...
The legend of Paul grows! The mightiest of heroes.
Sebastian: "I haven't set foot in that house since the day I was born"
Pluto: "And you probably didn't step in it 'cause babies don't walk"
That was the best EVER!!! LOL!!!
Definitely the funniest thing so far!
2:39:26 is where is starting with enough context
I agree, that was a great line.
Me: Damn it Pluto.. stop stating the dumbly obvious!
This guy plays a magnificent simple warriorq

Nothing ever goes bad when the DM has to stop your conversation to go wait this is the plan... And repeats it back to you lol
This was one of my favorite moments.
Watching this is 2020. Really love the storyline here.
Same my dude
I'm rewatching the series as well, and your right the story is good here.
2021!
Finding this in 2021. So much fun! What will happen next?!?
I found this was a thing in 2021
Monty, being the best DM ever: "Use every available exit when evacuating the building."
Me: *dies laughing*
I really love the "small group playing a real game of d&d". I just started playing a few months ago ... and this really takes the best parts of playing and proudly shows it to us the viewers.
Love the show
Never thought I'd find myself borderline addicted to watching DnD campaigns, but damn you guys got me hooked
Pluto is tha best!
I haven't seen in my many years of playing D&D a player/character willing to do as much as he does for the party and story. And the comic relief is the best, i think that most of the players wouldn't be that cool in a situation like that!
I wouldn't be able to pull it off that's for sure
yeah.. let's just hope Pluto doesn't talk adnauseum about the time he shat his pants for science in the next inn.
and yes I know.. the campaign is over and pluto's probably a done character.. but maybe he is out there regaling someone about his times as an adventurer!
There was something about Monty rolling dice to determine the duration of Pluto's diarrhea that just killed me. He was in such suspense!
The anticipation of watching a DM roll at a simple question always gets me.
I enjoy watching this Dungeons of Drakkenheim more than most of the other channels. The players here have amazing chemistry and aren't too over the top with voices/role play. It's so refreshing

Joe, always there for the comic relief! Big moody story moment and he breaks everyone
Man, the amount of disrespect shown to Pluto the past few episodes from his supposed friends has been unreal.
I love Watching the Three Ghosts
Yes yes yes
Sebastian missed an opportunity with his tagline. Handing the harpy egg to his sisters, “what’s the worst that could happen?” 🤣
Yes!!! Been looking forward to the return!
I’ve never played a game of D&D in my life. Never really had any interest. But somehow stumbled onto the Dungeon Dudes and can’t get enough! Huge fan from small town USA!
Try to find a table somewhere and play some. It's pretty fun.
Thanks for the encouragement! I just might have to do that. :-)
Yeassss.... join us... ^^
It's a good game, don't let other players boss you around too much when you start playing. Rules are important but so is having fun!
This is about as good as it gets. Most games Player Characters don't role play to this extent or at all. D&D is fun and its more fun if you can do it in person. Roll 20 and other online tabletop platforms are another option.

I've been binge watching this series the last week and I love the characters role-playing. You all do great. +1 points to Pluto for that last bit. :)

It's never a good sign when the DM says, OK lemme make sure I got this 100% right...
For a moment, I feared that Pluto had accidentally summoned a Beholder.
I thought they would keep feeding them and somehow make friends based on how most of the campaign they've been refusing to fight anyone.
Not totally, but you know what I mean.
I know it is an old episode, but I am starting to think that the Queen of Thieves can be our youngest princess. Just a hunch
Yeah thats what i was thinking too.
I said the exact same line last episode… it’s a cop out for the dm… so it has to be true…
I thought this the moment Monty said "The youngest child wasn't included in the statues." I'm sure she took that as an insult.
Plato's comment at the end just broke everyone lol and caused the session to end.
You have taken over my TH-cam viewing. Loving your campaign.
Rewatching in 2022 this set of campaigns is so good.
When Kyle said "destroy a street corner" I lost it it😂
YES!!! Sebastian And the Three Crows Back at it Again!!
You mean the Jackson's 3?
Veo and the Pussycats guys
Veo and the Pussycats is clearly the superior name. It is the only one that doesn't require any change if another member joins....or one dies.
