I made a Mini Robot Arm to Control my Big Arm

  • I needed a cool way to control my big robot arm, so I thought, why not make a mini version?
    Made using an Arduino and controlled through Unity, which send the commands to a raspberry pi controlling the Big arm.

    Great job as always! A cool follow on project would be to try to incorporate haptic feedback so if the large arm runs into an obstruction, you feel the resistance in the small arm!

    This guy is very underrated... he deserves a lot ...... also as beginner I have problems making that software robot ... which you controlled directly by potentiometer can you make it from scratch and with an esp8266 plz ....😅😅😅😅 I know you will not see this but worth a try😅😅❤❤❤

    Because the mini robot arm has motors in it, you could use those to create haptic feedback, for even more control!

    I want to make a 6DOF robot arm, but the issue is I don't have an application for one. I'd be feeding myself strawberries too. Maybe it'd be cool to have a phone stand that moves to the other side when you roll over?

    Small suggestion: can you try changing the background music/siunds used in yiur next video, I feel like everything is getting upgraded except the sounds. Specially the sound after "let me explain" not relevant to thz big work being done at that transition.

    You used the wrong type of bearing for the arms. That lazy Susan bearing is a thrust bearing which is made for axial loads, like on the lazy Susan all force goes down onto the bearing. What you need are bearings made for radial loads, like normal bearings which are made for forces that act radially.
    That thrust bearing won’t do much there.
    You could also use a higher temperature plastic. Most printers can handle PETG or ABS or ASA which are quite a lot more temperature resistant than PLA.
