You have no idea how many times a day I check this channel for anything from henry catchpole. Excellent job as usual ( I haven't even watched the video😂)
Catchpole is so underrated, great driver with amazing finesse and explains all he feels while driving, not only the headline figure and then says it is very fast. Last but not least, the video itself and production is great, this channel truly deserves more subscribers
One of the best things about the convertible mclarens is the little window behind the seats that can be lowered and offers fantastic sound! I’d liked to have heard a little about that! But otherwise a great video! 😃
I can see the logic in making the spider a fraction softer. The coupe is a 10/10 car the spider while a beast compared to almost anything else on the road, is in the McLaren line up a 9.5/10 car. If you're a serious track predator you'll save yourself the 40KG and go for the coupe with sports seats etc. If you want to enjoy your car over distance on the road a slightly less twitchy, softer sprung spider with comfort seats makes sense. All irrelevant to me of course, I'd have to sell my house and live in the spider and even with the mods it's not quite comfortable enough for that.
As always Henry a great write up and although I’ve not driven a 765 spider it all seems right. I’m with you on the Coupe front and owning a 720s Coupe I have never felt like owning a Spider as plenty of other manufacturers do Spiders equally well. A 765 LT is inbound shortly and hopefully will provide a great road experience coupled with unrivalled track fun
Please take this as the compliment it is meant as, but this reminds me of Chris Harris On Cars filmed by his videographer Neil. Absolutely stunning presentation and commentary, combined with top-tier driving abilities.
Its like an advet for the lotto. Coz every time I watch your epic content, I have to go buy a ticket.. Amazing cinematography as ever , just escape into it with a cuppa..maybe Santa will remember me this year ....thanks for the ride 🔥🔥..epic. Stay safe.😎
The difference between this channel and others is not marginal, is the size of a canyon. Yesterday I have watched the review of the same car(s) on the same road and circuit done by the Evo and it was just so soulless, I have turned it off half way through. On the other hand, your could be twice as long and I´d still devour it in a hitch. Great job as always Carfection!
Oh my goodness 😃👍. This is a amazing drop top supercar (which could possibly be just as fast as a P1). When every car eventually becomes eletric, this will be one of several cars we will remember 😃🥺👍). Great video and editing :)
Spyder all day for me, best of both worlds. It might Loose a little % of ultimate grip and feel but For a real world owner it allows both a road (roof down or just rear window down for your ears) and track (it's not slow or soft is it) flex. And 0 to 124mph in the low 7 seconds still blows my mind for the money
Ever since I watched your Porsche 911 GT2RS review, I've never missed your videos. I watched them all. You the in the top of the pyramid mate when it comes to car journalists 👍🙌
I love convertibles and that car is the perfect mixture of hard top and open sports car. Unfortunately I could never afford it. Ah well I will have to make do with my Audi TT roadster
Your sir -- and Carfection team - have the best job in the world. OK, back to my copy&pasting -- and copying --- annnd pasting. (Thanks for the momentary (i.e. 11 mins 45 seconds) escape!)
McLaren really deserves to be part of the automotive world. I hope it sorts out its corporate financial woes. Just make an SUV. Problem solved. Just ask the folks at Stuttgart.
They can’t just make an SUV, when they are already struggling financially. They will have to make a bespoke platform for that which cost lots of money. Aston Martin had to borrow over 1 billion pounds to finish off the DBX. It’s much easier for Porsche to make an SUV because they are all based off Audi platform.
According to Evo, this car has a lower geared steering rack than the coupe (plus the softer dampers as mentioned). I imagine that's the reason for the change in steering character noted in this video?

Quick question.. Are we going to receive a video on the new RS mid engine Porsche with Henry? Maybe with our favorite Porsche engineer? I have avoided other videos on it as you always have the best. Christmas present?

You'll find a lot of older Henry content on the Evo channel as well.

Incredible car, incredible production, exceptional presentation. Well done McLaren, well done Carfection, well done Mr. Catchpole
Carfection's production value/quality is always top notch!
Exactly my words just amazing
To bad that from technical point of view all the changes they did over the years to that nissan v8 made it worse not better.
I’ve driven a 720S for three days and since then I’m in love with McLaren. This 765 is even better looking.

The 765lt is a proper McLaren !!!
Henry is the Main Man 💪🏻🙌🏻💪🏻🙌🏻💪🏻 best motoring journalist out there by a country mile
Pure. Cinematic. Perfection.
Damnit Henry, you magnificent bastard!!! You did it again. Great job.

BMW had that in the F12 6 series, a great feature.
That car is life goals right there.
If only there was a TV show with the holy trinity of Catchpole, Harris and Smith it would be motor journaling GOLD!
Who’s Smith?
@@mbal4052 Jonny Smith the car pervert him self. See “the late break show”.

Very good 👌👌
Agreed, But I’ve wondered what is this colors name it quite suits the car
McLaren make such awesome cars!
Another Henry masterpiece. Beautifully filmed and an impressive car even though I am not really a McLaren fan. 🙂🙂🙂
Absolutely Stunning.

Thank you for the review. I'm going to test drive a 765LT coupe on Thursday.
well done henry, well done
I'd get this car in metallic grey ,I feel like the design is exciting enough to not need or benefit from bright colours.
Lovely part of the world to be testing this
Carfection is perfection.needless to say

Catchpole review = instant like
That scene transition @5:18 was ridiculously cool!
Thank you! 👍
7:20 Toe "out" for stability? Isn't toe in usually more stable while toe out is more responsive?
Nope

Wow, Awesome driving skills!
More toe-out to help with stability? More toe-out normally aids turn-in at the expense of stability.
Never disappointed with your reviews , just great video of amazing car.
A truly wonderful production Henry. And a superb machine.... only hope the manufacturer can improve their reputation for quality and service....
About time Henry!
A classy driver with a classy car!.. Great all around!...My husband is considering the coupe, but I like this!
Thumbs up and liked!
Finally watched this video, dont fancy convertibles at all, but, this is a very simple roof mechanism.
As always: Awesome review. I loved watching it and enjoyed every second. Thanks!
blue looks good…. But that red my god is stunning 😍
As much as I enjoy cars and Henry, I always enjoy checking out Henry’s watches. He has such good taste in watches.
100th like, love your guys’ reviews of cars, so truthful yet so interesting, thank you guys!
This is my dream car, the spyder version
Am I just crazy or do companies like Mclaren and Ferrari always put ugly wheels on the spider version of their cars??
Not Ferrari
You can get the same wheel as with the Coupe.
Just wow. Bravo.
Nicely narrated as usual 👌🏼🇬🇧 Blistering

More front toe out for stability? Doesn't sound right? Great video and review Henry, thanks.
Pretty sure you can't go too wrong with either the coupe or the spider!

They are bogged down in bureaucracy. They're trying to be Porsche and Ferrari, when they really should be Pagani

Ignition fuel cut on up shift crack, struggled to get that to work on my R35 gtr with syvecs ecu.

I love your stuff. However, it appears the the video editor felt the need to speed up some of the external shots. Pity.
I know mclarens have a bad reputation, but that is the definition of what a supercar should be. Absolutely stunning
I want that car so bad. On the sidenote, will you wear your speedmaster again please?

Gorgeous....
Fantastic 👍
Everyone who's driven it claims Mclaren have finally made a car that is actual Carfection!
Fabulous movie 👌😉
Lovely timepiece Henry, which model is it?

very good sport car.

What is the watch Henry wear?
Do the side windows not fully open? I see there's about an inch showing while Henry's driving.

Sounds like it's pipe and slippers time for you bud!
I heard there were only 765 of the lt being made. Are there an additional 765lt spiders being made?
Yh
Why don’t journalists ever mention the fact that this car makes almost 750 hp at the wheels not the crank? Seems pretty relevant to me lol.
do the two cars run the same tire?
