New Update for Samsung's Bixby adds new voice command! Answer the phone or turn off alarm with voice

- Samsung has rolled out an all new update for its Bixby Voice assistant which add a new feature. Now we can answer the call or reject call, Turn off alarm or snooze alarm without touching the phone and without waking up Bixby. This is an awesome new feature and a big development for Bixby Voice assistant.

I have a physical disability so doing things by voice is sometimes absolutely necessary. Bixby needs to also add a command to allow a user to end a call only using the Voice command. Along the same lines it would be nice to be able to say merge call, swap call, hold call, resume call and add call.
UPFATE: with the latest Samsung update , you can now say, " answer phone, end call" or "reject call." I'm not sure about the other possible voice commands on my wish list but I think you could create a custom Bixby routine. Also, Bixby works really well doing things directly related to your phone while Google assistant and Google Voice typing are still best at activating voice commands and taking dictation. What is different is that Bixby and Google work well together now. I have not had any glitches using both simultaneously. A disclaimer: I am absolutely not a technician. Hope this info is helpful.

While this is a step in the right direction, Bixby will be truly useful when it behaves like Cortana did. It needs to announce incoming texts, ask if I want to respond, and allow me to answer texts completely hands-free. Similarly, I should be able to send new texts hands-free (more consistently than it does now, which ISN'T very consistent).

This is terrific! I tried to setup a quick command to answer a call, but could never get it to work. I will use this every day now!
I don't have it yet, but can't wait. I use bixby quite often, for setting alarm, voice short commands and turning on apps. Answering calls wis gong to be great.
You can already answer calls, just say hey Bixby, answer call. This new update just makes it more seamless by eliminating the need to say the hotword

the problem is that we cannot use these commands when using blue tooth head phones etc, I have my Bluetooth headphones on a lot during the day they should change this.
The newest bixby update has now canceled the ability to turn on the flashlight in the closed position

I wonder if they are going to fix the bug that sometimes happen if you have reminders enabled for notifications under the notifications settings.
No matter what time is set for the reminder, the bug would play a second sound after receiving a notification simultaneously. It stinks.
Any voice command with answering or rejecting calls is dangerous for me, as there is always blowback - like with Google, the commands often get mixed up, at a moment you least want them to 🤣
When will Sammy replace Bixby? I want a Sammy assistant with a Korean accent.

The option 'Talk to Bixby without wakeup' is not there in the setting. I also have the same version on my S22 Ultra, Indian variant.

You're right..I bet most of us don't make as much use of Bixby as we can 😉
You can just start talking.. it works.. however it's not perfect.. sometimes it doesn't recognize the voice input and sometimes it won't even wake up when you get a call. Needs improvement for sure.
@@ThePhoneFuel we can dismiss with voice when alarm goes off???...just tried, didn't work..had to hit the dismiss button😮...as you say...needs improvement 😉

I got my s23 and had everything settings turned on but this just never worked. I have to keep waking up bixby to execute my commands. Any idea how to fix this issue?

Samsung users have huge advantage of both voice assistant.
The biggest advantage of Bixby is it work when screen is completely off. And Understand some basic commands even when our internet connection is off.
While Google only works on Lockscreen and can't even understand a single command when we're offline.
And These Offline Voice commands shown also perform Google but they are exclusive to pixel devices.
Sadly Bixby not supports on my one UI core F22. 🥲🥲
Google is best for conversion and web based results while Bixby is king in Phone control.
Ya.. actually bixby is an assitant made to interact and act mainly with the phone/watch system itself where as google is more of both search assistant and to some extent interact with phone.. but on pixels google is made for both

Great feature addition. But unfortunately the dismiss alarm only works with alarm set with samsung clock and not with Google clock. I have been using Google clock all these years and all my reminders and alarms are in Google clock...

This was on phones as far back as Samsung 6 then the stoped it for some reason

But this useful feature does not work with bluetooth headset!!! that is a bummer else life would be easy as you don't need to touch/press button on your headset to answer calls.

Nope it won't, now the latest update makes it compatible with third party phone apps
It would be great if they make it shorter wake-up command instead of 'Hi Bixby' every time like Siri. And should be work continuously without necessary another command in a conversation.
You can change "hi bixby" wake up command to just "bixby". I personally use it this way. Just go to bixby voice settings then voice wake up and then wake up phrase.

@@repaid1 May i know which device u r using and from where? I am using s22+ with latest softwares in india. Just to clear it is in the voice wake up section in bixby settings, not directly in the bixby settings. And try to update bixby from galaxy store if there any, and check again
@@salmanumer7806 Thanks for replying, I am using a Samsung Z3 Flip, running Android 12, In USA. I can find nowhere on my phone that has anything to do with voice wake other than to say Hi Bixby on and off, no adjustment to change. I understood that certain adjustments must be in the English USA for latest release but I am using that setting. As I said everything is latest software and updated. I am even trying to do a set up routine to have my messages read aloud and that setting is missing too...seems like I am missing several toggles for quite a bit. running Bixby ver. 3.5.02.25 which shows as latest version and no updates available.
