Have you ever tried Alder for 3d engraving, I know it has a more forgiving grain structure and was just curious. I love the Lion, it is Gorgeous

So more of a faux relief, more layered than 3D.

Thanks for the comment!! The relief is not a faux relief, there is actually dimension that you can feel once the engrave is done.
