Great video, currently I am having problems with the appearance of my engraving on wood. I think I'll try messing with the Dot duration. I am quite a newbie though. The software is a bit over my head.
Is your engrave on wood too light or too dark? The dot duration is much like the speed setting. The lower the dot duration the less time it will spend in one spot, the higher the dot duration the longer it will spend on one spot. So on a dark material it will make a lighter engrave and on lighter material it will make a darker engrave. I hope that helps. Happy Lasering!
Thanks for the video. Lots of great info as I am new to XCS. I do think that you should not change the proportions/ratio of the image. She looks like she lost 50 lbs. Better to crop to the smallest dimension.
