Thanks! I was overlooking selecting engrave on the initial object. If tried changing it after creating the test array it was setting everything to just 1% power.
I think I've only shown that once but I'll try to make that. If you watch the slate coaster S1 video, you'll see that I get my settings first and then use the same material to test LPC. For that one, I just did it on the back of the slate coaster at 1 minute 30 seconds in. Some materials don't really show a huge difference at first glance, but will under different lights.
@@SarahNenniDaher yes I did see that part but don’t know how that is created I’m using it for slate like in your video but use this information for future projects. Thank you for the reply and potential video
I am following your example engraving Basswood plywood. In your example for the S1 40 Watt laser for 3 mm Basswood Plywood, the processing type list it displays Engraving as well as the other options. If I select 6 mm Basswood Plywood the processing type list only displays Cut. Is there a reason that 6 mm Basswood cannot be Engraved or is this a bug?
Oh, I think a setting got messed up or something. Are you in XCS 2.0 or the older software? If you're only seeing cut, make sure your processing mode is correct. If you're correct AND still seeing it, I'd save, exit, and try to pull that up again.
Best video tutorial I’ve found!
What a brilliant video. As a new F1 owner this has helped me so much. Thank you
I'm so glad (and jealous of that F1)! Let me know if you need any others and I'l be glad to add them to the list.
@@SarahNenniDaher I would love to see what your tips are for engraving an image onto things like slate.
Thank you so much for sharing! This was very helpful. Can a test array be done for engraving tumblers?

Really good video. Learned a lot and look forward for more videos for S1 40W. I also live in TX. Outside of Angleton.
Superb instruction! Thank you very much! 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Great tutorial just made one following your steps. I would like to dial in my slate engravings. Can you make a video on how to do one for LPI?
