- Sometimes the only way to get the thing you want is to spend hours and hours grinding away until it happens. Sprinkle in a little luck and you might get the desired result, or sometimes you won't. After realizing my original plans of a super relic run won't actually work the way I intended I fall into my next idea of a room of gold. Since the perks I have add extra gold and monsters all drop gold this is a golden opportunity. UnderMine gameplay with my commentary as always!

Indiana Jones hat (adventurer's hat) plus Indiana Jones whip (adventurer's whip) equals golden fertility idol from Raiders of the lost Ark and 10k gold apparently.

@@xcybitt721 It is just a fun reference to the Indian Jones movie and a reward for managing to collect those two items just like most Easter eggs in games give.
1.18 you got a golden idol when you bought the whip which gave you the 10k

Honestly you should definitely talk to the Shop keeper and buy the rewards program, it allows you to upgrade the shop and I believe it also halves all prices
It at least lets you add more items at the shop which helps a LOT
Also let’s you buy the TRANSMUT3 which does something

You need more healing from items, and the gecko foot -- this allows you to gather gold + items by throwing your pickaxe, which is **very** useful.
Also, you can unlock blessing at the shrine. **dont do it**. Don't unlock the blessings until you check out when they do, and unlock only a single one of the powerful ones (+1 bounce from throw for example). That way, you can guarantee picking this blessing every single time.
-You can pickup gold with the throwing attack so less gold for the little green guys.
-A Secret Passage is revealed once a bomb or a red barrel goes off in a room, then the secret gets sparkly. Or with some relics or potions as you already found out
-With the Salamander Relic where you set things on fire you can mine by throwing your axe at the gold, very useful if it spawns over a hole.
-I found it way easier to play using the throwing attacks instead of the swing attacks.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
You can activate easy mode in this game!
All you have to do is go menu->options->game-> and tick "mouse aim".
It makes game MUCH easier (especially with pickaxe throwing).
ALSO uncheck "food consumed at full health".

Also the Slamander's foot lets you pick up gold with your pickaxe, throw your pickaxe at gold. The other foot gets items.

You really need to start throwing your pick more. Range is so useful in this game. Keep up the progress though!
Just beat Mortar by stocking up on Bombushka bombs and launching them right onto the boss by throwing my pick at them, massive cluster damage.
if you're not that afraid of curses , you can bomb purple flame pillars to get random rewards like : Bomb Bags, key bags, talisman's to cure the curse and relics.
And recently i found that you can kill the Gargoyles instantly (works only with upgraded bombs) if you just bomb them while they petrify themselves to heal up.
It’s kinda weird why you don’t use the long-range attack. It can get really op when you level it high. And much more safer
Long range attack + ricochet blessing + faster throw speed = beat the game in one run. You just throw at one enemy and jump around.
Konidias topup with salamander tail and butcher to get meat from enemies, the best combo. Every meat you get you can hit it to cook it and then, LIMITLESS FOOD FOR EVERY FLOOR.

Also a hint. There are rooms where theres unlit big torches. When there are a few lit ones and some unlit use ur throwing to transfer fire to them. Once all are lit youll get a chest.
If you encounter a room with only unlit ones u can either use a fire crystal u sometimes find on the ground or that lizard tail. While u have either the buff or the tail you can hit to ignite them.
btw, the GeckoHands in the wizardshop makes it so your thrown pickaxe cna pickup gold... the 2nd upgrade, lets you pick up Items as well.
with the salamander tail (light enemies on fire with hit) you can use it to cook food, which makes it heal more. it's actually one of the best relics i've found thus far
1:20 seems like an indiana jones easter egg. When you combine the hat with the whip you get a golden idol which also adds you 10k gold.
Pro Tip: Drink the potion that converts damage into health and then place a bomb down and stand next to it. Depending on how powerful your bomb is you can heal a lot of health.
DF, theres this trick where you can "cook" your food by throwing your pick over a fire and it apparently stays and u can eat it again and again

Depending on how lucky you're feeling, the purple fires are curse fires, you can blow them up with a bomb and get free items, the cost being a curse

little tip....many of the attacks can be dodged by jumping over the attacks....Sooooo...MORE JUMPING!
Hey DF, helpful tip. talk to the pilfer shop dude in the dungeons, you can buy a membership for 1.2K and more items will appear in the lobby, wich in turn can expand the pilfer shops in the dungeons.
secret rooms have to bombed to be exposed like in the binding of isaac, but if you fail to find a secret room and theres 2 more walls to bomb, it might sparkle to reveal where the real secret room is
Secret rooms I recently learnt are only really "revealed" in a room if an explosion happens, that can be from your bombs, fire barrels, those worm things, maybe the charging trolls? If there's a secret room you'll see sparkling on the walls. There is by default 2 secret walls and 2 hidden stairs on every floor, which is further increased by the adventurer's whip/hat.
EDIT: Another thing to pay attention to is purple flames, these give a curse if you destroy them but can give some decent items

The geckos foot works. It means you can throw your pick in order to get gold instead of walking all the way over there

when u throw ur axe at fire sources (fire pits, fire from barrels or oils) it ignites it and cook foods basically giving u an infinite food source. i think this is a bug idk.

I once got a 15 gold dupe chain. On the highest amount in one nugget. Walked in with 1048 gold, walked out with 1758 gold.
I was so confused on the gecko upgrade...thought it would pick up gold from a distance...like a magnet...turns out it's the trowing pickaxe that is the range option...

In my experience it’s better to invest your gold on upgrades for throwing the pic axe, also you can pick up gold just by throwing the pick axe if you have the geckos foot

not sure if its a thing or not but i noticed that the majority of secret rooms ive found have been on walls that dont have decorations on them like the roots or the wooden things that just break
if you have salamanders tail for fire damage, you can cook food by hitting it
+10% health bonus for each food

You can ensure items in the dungeon by crafting them in the craftroom, they'll show up in your next run
