- Forever grinding to buy all the overpowered gear. It's easier said than done in a game that takes 70% of your gold every time you die, and you die a lot. I realized in the end it's actually better to clear the first dungeon first before continuing on to the second thanks to extra gold and powerups. Unfortunately I didn't realize this until after many hours of grinding but I did find all the right powerups to make me very strong. Unfortunately one little curse was enough to undo everything. UnderMine gameplay with my commentary as always!

You can talk to the yellow slime and get it up to the top to get uprades before the runs and geckos foot you can throw weapon to pick up gold

The nugget cave got a lot more interesting.
Nugget had acquired more nuggets to offer as an offering to the Nugget gods of Nugget cave.
Still just as dangerous
Blacksmith items work like they do in Dead Cells or Gungeon. Once you buy them, they start appearing in shops and as drops. You can only craft them once, and you get one to use right away.
However, you can only craft one item to immediately equip at a time, otherwise the irritating gold stealing things show up and take the others away, and you can't stop them. So it's best to just craft them one at a time.
Throwing your axe is pretty essential to staying alive in this game.
Also, you missed a secret room in Dibble's cell with a few chests in it. He's telling you to get away from the secret entrance.
Nice vid as usual. Quick tip if you haven't already figured it out, when you fight the gargoyles make sure you've got some bombs with you and you can blow them up when they turn to stone to heal.
For me bombushkas lead to almost instant victory it was almost too easy (well I died on them for like 15 times so not that easy)

Hey DF 2 things try throwing your pickaxe more which is much safer than smacking enemies like a madman and the geckos foot works by throwing the pickaxe at gold the second thing is the stuff the blacksmith makes you doesn't disappear permanently it becomes an item in the dungeon that you can find in future runs

Guess it's a pick up axe now.

Just curious...can you not go back to the hub whilst actually still alive? Before you die and lose a portion of gold?
Buying upgrades would be far more efficient that way one would think.
Its a roguelike, meaning you have 1 life and when you die you respawn and have to retry again. Most of them you lose a portion of your gold to purchase upgrades to get further in the dungeon, rinse and repeat.

To answer your question: sadly no. You're only getting out of there with half your hold. Unless you find or buy a sewing kit, which lets you keep all gold from that specific run only.
Try to throw your pickaxe more and make sure you set your throwing aim to mouse instead of keyboard cuz its much more easier

Wait, mushroom increases your max health when you kill enemies. And, slimes can be killed in one shot and be baited with treasure. Hmmmmmmmm.

In the room where the guy was trapped behind two keys. You can blow up the wall where he originally started talking to you to his store house
Also, the Blacksmith upgrades, allow those upgrades to show up in dungeons from now on

gargoyles take additional damage when you bomb them, while they are in their statue form
I killed the guards before the dungeon, and I used floaty boots to get into the halls before killing that boss or cursing myself 8 times, so I had ended up killing the final boss before the first boss. Or any other boss.
What happened lol
@@penguinoverlord9994 same thing that happens when you get to the last boss after unlocking everything and reincarnating, but not touching the other bosses.

The shop behind the key door where he asked you to come over here there is a hidden room in the middle
When the gargoyles go into stone form, you can one shot them with a bomb if you're rich in bombness. Otherwise, just focus the garg as it's getting out of stone form before it can heal again.

Pro tip: if you're dying a lot then you need to upgrade your armor. ;)
Offense is the best Defense, enemies can't deal damage to you when they're dead. He either needs more health, or more damage(best case both).

DF needs to upgrade his pickaxe for more damage. And more gloves for more throw damage, he needs that ranged advantage. 😆

Anything you craft at the blacksmith is added to the item pool, so you can get your mushrooms in random chest / loot rooms.

I feel you on this one, i actually picked up the game aswell when i saw your first vid. made it to the 3rd boss myself and after i beat him with 7hp remaining some still remaining attack got me after its death animation xD i was soo bummed out.

same thing happen to me, but vs something later on.... and then i got the genius idea to buy multiple items from the blacksmith at once.
only to have the items stolen from me by the slimes....
i proceeded like the clam, reasonable and collected person i am and rage quit the game and have not played it again sinse.
fuck those slimes.
also the bombs can damage the gargoyles while they are in statue mode so the trick to winning is to drop a bomb when they are healing as it prevents them from actually doing so.
