Hi guys, thank you for another great video. loving your content as usual . Looking forward to more vlogs this year from you both. Really enjoy watching this kind of content. Especially from a down to earth couple like yourselves. Got some great tips and reviews from yourselves as I’m a new caravaner myself. But most importantly you have fun and that makes a great video. All the best guys. Andy from Norfolk. 👍
Thank you Andy, definitely a lot more vlogs coming this year. Thank you for your kind words and glad some of the videos have helped you roll on the spring 👍
Agree with the parking under trees mainly because branches breaking off but also sap and bird pooh. Love caravanning in winter may be not as much as summer but it's still all about getting away in the van. Good job you walked and hadn't drove in the other part of the site LOL
It was a little windy, and a lot of rain didn’t fancy the trees. Even in the summer, I don’t really like being under the trees. We definitely prefer the summer: nice to have the BBQ out and the awning up. But like you said, it’s nice to get away, whatever time of year. I would have been making a phone call if I had driven in. 😂
The reason they have codes on the toilet doors is because the people visiting the park want to use the site toilets. In the summer this park heaves. If you walk or cycle down the footpath beside the railway station it takes you into Peterborough. We are going there in January. 👍
After we went for a walk, I did say to Claire that the toilets must be locked because of how close it is to a park, and I bet people used to go in there to use the toilets all the time. Hope you have a lovely time. 👍
I think that will be us done for a few months now, as we want to do a bit of work on the caravan over winter. Merry Christmas and happy new year to you as well.
We were supposed to be there that weekend. My mum and dad had just picked up their new van, they are to the right of you with the blue sportage, we didn’t go in the end as the weather looked awful for that weekend. Shame really as I was looking forward to it.
Oh wow, even though the weather was shocking, I hope your mum and dad enjoy just chilling out in their new van. I think when you just get a new caravan, all you want to do is chill out inside it anyway.
Done the same with the hookup at the Pandy site which at one time had 3 different way of connecting to the posts across the site. This has got be the first year in ages we had no winter trips planned.
I think it being late, dark, and cold didn’t help. If I had looked at what position the switch was in and not the green and red markers, I would have been okay 😂. We haven’t done as many as we did last year either. Always a storm when we want to go away.
Went to bath last weekend in our touring caravan for the Christmas markets booked it a year ago and it was cancelled due to the weather I done exactly the same thing you done with the hock up 😂
Oh no, that’s a shame. When I watched it back, I thought to myself, “How did I not notice that the switch was in the wrong position?” 😂 You live and learn.
@@CaravanTrails Up is good down is bad,we have all made mistakes, but thats what makes caravaning, you will both laugh at it in a few years,i had a cracked fitting on the boiler had the whole thing out in the forest, did get it fixed in the end🤣🤣🤣
When I watched it back, I was thinking how did I not notice that the switches were in the wrong position? I think I just looked at the makers and saw green and assumed it was on. 😂 That’s one mistake I won’t do again. Well done for fixing that while you’re on site. I wouldn’t have the tools on me. 😂
The railway prices were expensive when I was there in the summer. Nice site but try and avoid staying near the road as there can be a lot of traffic at night and locals going from pub to pub I think! Plenty of stuff going on in the park in the summer and there is a light railway which would be good for kids. You probably cover these before watch the end 🤔
Thanks for the tip about the road. I will definitely remember it for when we go again. I imagine it’s very nice in the summer, and we will definitely be returning. Like you said, there is a lot more going on in the summer than on a wet November day.
Undecided to go there for Xmas week? I would have thought Green was on and red for off 🤔 Thankyou for the heads up 👍 our microwave has stopped working - are they easy to replace yourself does anyone know?
It’s a nice site, just not a lot to do over winter, but if your thing is to just chill in the caravan and go for some nice walks, it’s good for that. Our microwave just plugs into a normal socket. It depends on how yours is set up.
our van is the same with the breaker tripping for the slightest thing, we also have a Elddis. ours is a 2006 Odyssey 543. identical inside to yours just with fixed bed. if you find out what it is tripping the breaker you'll have to let me know.
Took ours into tow to fix, and it was one of the sensors in the back of the electric fire that had gone got them both replaced as it’s quite common, but that just blew the fuse in the control panel when our breaker was tripping. It was the element in the water heater that had gone.
@@CaravanTrails Thanks for getting back to me on that, I really appreciate it. my breaker seems to play ball but then just randomly after a while with very little plugged in it will just trip.
Indeed, upon reviewing the beginning of November, the availability of dates was limited, and the ones listed were only for compartments. However, upon further inspection, I discovered that numerous dates had been added in December. Consequently, I realized that the actual price per person was £35. This is why I included the price list in the video.👍
Jesus you came over as a pair of massive depression. Watched the 25 minutes and all you did was hate peach or negativity. If you hate the place so much, leave
What gave you that impression? I don’t recall us saying we hated the place at all. In fact, we thought it was a very nice site. Great park for the kids and plenty of walking opportunities. Obviously, a nice summer’s day will always be better than a rainy November day. Will definitely return in the summer.

Your not crazy Caravaning in winter, I love being snuggled in the van in winter. ❤
It was nice just to chill and do nothing for the weekend 😂
I’ve been caravaning 4 years and still have the same dilemma when hooking up the electric👍👍😂
It being dark and absolute freezing we just wanted to get the heating on didn’t help 😂

Don't have a caravan but we love your videos ❤
Thank you ☺️
Oh I'm crying with you. Xx
Maybe a city break? York and London have campsites on the outskirts. Merry Christmas and happy new year. Xx
I think that will be us done for a few months now, as we want to do a bit of work on the caravan over winter.

@ they loved it, they did just chill, so much so they booked an extra night. The joys of being retired!

General rule of thumb up is on
Every days a school day 😂😂
😂 Now I have watched it back, I am like, “How did I not notice the switches were in the wrong position?” It was late and dark; that’s my excuse.

Did you find keys?
Yes, we did! Very lucky that we found them on the floor at the storage yard.
It's not £200 per person.
That price is for a compartment.
