This is such a beautifully done version of the original theme. It's hard for me to choose which version I like most, this one or the version from Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles, both are so freaking good
The original depiction of Simon makes him look like some He-Man/Conan The Barbarian-type badass, unlike the HoD version which makes him look like a wuss.
This must be when Dracula gets bored of brooding in his tower, and decided to test out the brand new PA system that he just had installed in his demonic chaos castle of doom to play some diabolically catchy music the likes of no mortal can withstand...I'd imagine all the dislike he gets comes not from his bad habits of wanting to wipe out humanity, but instead from him playing funky music very loudly in the middle of the night and throwing huge demonic dance parties that constantly bug the neighbors, who just can't get a single wink of sleep with all that infernal noise being blasted from the teleporting castle.
How Symphony of the Night could be without Vampire Killer despite it being THE iconic song of the series by that point is beyond me. At the very least, Nocturne In The Moonlight amends this grave sin with this and another version of Vampire Killer.
I remember when I first learned about this version, on some playthrough where they talked about dracula saying "Enough talk, boogie down!", and I've never been able to find that video again.

Make sure you have a capable music player (like Foobar 2000) and good listening equipment (like a DAC and some nice speakers or headphones. The DAC is a must, IMO) FLAC is an excellent way to have perfect audio quality in less space, provided the source material is of high quality in the first place.
