Beautiful video. Note: I had to turn the volume way up to hear the spoken parts, and then waaaaaay down for the music portions. I am a pro musician but the audio peaks were so dissimilar it was tough to listen to. Going to give it a like anyway, but I hope your next video I watch has "normalized" sound.
Hi guys. A very enjoyable video, thanks. I was at the Isles of Scilly myself swimming earlier this year, a beautiful place. I’m intending of getting a touring SUP soon. Can you please let me know the sizes of the 3 boards in this video? It will help me choose the size for me. Thanks.
Very nice video, but guys, you do need to sort your sound levels out.. the music is so loud I turn the volume down , then I cant here you speaking so have to turn it up again.. Just watch those levels on the next vid..👍
Where there are seals, there are… Are you folks not afraid at all? I get paranoid when I paddle out in HK and there are extremely rare sightings of bull sharks. Maybe I’m just a puxxy. Just want to know your thoughts on paddling in shark infested waters. Excellent video btw, keep it up.
Wouldn't want to try our luck paddling in shark infested waters!! Definitely going to need a wide and stable board for that! We know it's rare in the UK waters to have the top predatory shark species so we weren't too fussed about encountering sharks. Although, it's always in the back of our mind. Thanks for the comment, Beau
Hi Ben. Yes, they are the touring 12'6 x 30". Great boards for the adventure we did. Fast and still stable when carrying some gear onboard. Thanks, Beau
7:58 ...these tiny little bays that no one else can really get to, we can go and snorkel here all on our own, so really looking forward to it. 2:08 Tropics 9:03 We especially lucked out with the weather as well. (very lucky with the sunshine!) Hope this helps, Beau
Thanks for the video. Next time a bit more detail of each day packing please. As in the packing video you didnt mention clothing neither show us when all was pack how big and heavy was the full thing.
Hi Paul, this was the tricky part. Isles of Scilly Travel usually take SUPs as part of their luggage on the Scillonian Ferry. Unfortunately due to COVID, there were restrictions on luggage so we had to organise for them to go as freight. Flights and helicopter transfers were taking SUPs though. Once the situations settles down, I am sure Scillonian Ferry will allow them back onboard.
WOW, over what time of year was that? All the SUPboarder team at different times have scored good conditions when we have paddled around the islands. But this has always been at the hight of summer June/ July and on a good forecast. Let us know because it will help others to plan in future. Thanks Reuben
@@SUPboardermag Indeed you had incredible luck. On windfinder average wind speed is indicated with 22 km/h and avg gusts 60 km/h. www.windfinder.com/windstatistics/scilly
Hi there, we actually weren't too far away from shore (the video just makes it looks like so. We were well prepared with communication devices, etc in case of emergency as well and that would be the biggest thing - being prepared, knowing the weather/wind/tide forecast, wearing a leash, buoyancy aid and always paddling with a buddy / communication device.
@@SUPboardermag If you paddle around these islands, you MUST have some form of communication, and ideally some form of GPS or navigation. I've been in a small inflatable boat (with a motor) between Samson and Bryher when the fog came in. There was no warning and it was instantaneous. It is so disorientating but we had a GPS device with us and could follow our original track. The problem on the Isles of Scilly is not so much getting lost, but ending up on rocks on a rising tide. It can be a dangerous place even on a calm day if you're not prepared.

Hi Anna, great tips for our next edit! We will make sure to normalise the audio. Glad you enjoyed the video otherwise. Cheers, Beau
@@SUPboardermag Some of the best around.
these are the kind of SUP videos that just make me want to buy an inflatable SUP online right away! 😀 thanks for sharing 👍
Glad you enjoyed this video. Thanks, Beau
Love the video! So good to see so much wildlife. SUP board is the best way to explore the coast.
Totally agree!
They`re called females, or women. You can meet them in bars, or pubs.
Wow, that just looks incredible!!
Thanks for the comment. It was really amazing. Thanks, Beau
Now I really want to go to the Scilly isles. I've never been despite the ferry port being less than an hour away.

Glad you enjoyed the video. All of the boards are 12'6 long. The Starboards are 30" wide and the Aqua marina is 32". hope this helps. Thanks, Beau

Enjoyed going along. The water was perfect for open water!
Yes it was!

I've had 160 days on Scilly and it would have been calm enough to do the trips in the video by SUP perhaps twice maybe never
