Beautiful story. I did some research awhile back and before Jill died Charles had a hip problem and took to using a cane. After her death, her ashes were put in his cane so he could take her with him everywhere he went. He was buried with that cane and her ashes inside. 🌹
That's sad his wife's caregiver blackmailed him into marrying her. I hope she didn't get any of his money or belongings after his death. Thank you for taking us with you on this adventure. ❤
I love him so much. I grew up with Bronson. He is the epitome of man to me. He didn’t say much in his movies, he didn’t need to. Those eyes, man, they said it all. Thank you so much for this, Jordan!
Years ago, around 1981. My brother and I were at Six Flaggs Magic Mountain in Santa Clarita Valley. And we ran into Charles Bronson. He was with two teenage girls. So children or grandchildren. And we ended up talking with them. And spent the rest of the day with them. He was a very nice man. But wasn’t very talkative. But he bought us all lunch. I’ll never forget that.
I recently watched the DVD "Once Upon a Time in the West" with Charles Bronson, Henry Fonda, Claudia Cardinale and Jason Robards. It's the best "spaghetti western" ever made IMO. Bronson was a true star. His name alone would draw in crowds to theaters. Thank you for a great video---your research adds SO MUCH to your videos. Hi Jah!
Two stories I read about him stick with me to this day: * One was from those “best famous encounters you ever had” sites. A guy wrote about being a shoe salesman in the town that he and Jill lived in and Charles use to come into town a lot and was very loved by the locals. He went in one day with his father-in-law and the guy had to measure his foot for shoes. The shoe salesman said Charles took off his sock and his toe nails were all painted. The FIL laughed and asked him what that was all about, his response was very matter of fact, “well, [his daughter ] wanted to do my nails.” Period. 😂 LOVE IT. * Another story was that he had some of Jill’s ashes given to him so that he could keep in a covered opening in his cane so, “she will always be right next to me.” Wonderful person 😊
What a beautiful tribute to Charles and Jill, truly a couple that adored and loved each other to the very end. So sad to hear that he passed with Alzheimer’s such a horrible disease. Ty Jordan The last time I was on Vermont was with my friend Patsie who was a New England Patriots cheerleader and the Patriots at Stowe skiing, what a blast, I never skied just partied lol It’s really hard when you love someone so much and they are not loyal to you, been there, hard to carry on😿💔😿 A truly fantastic actor what a career they both had RIP Charles and Jill💒
In the late 80's I was in the US Air Force. I had a roommate from a Colorado. She mention to me that her grandmother had a small restaurant, famous for her chile. One day Charles Bronson came in he was filming in the area. Anyone she said, "you look like Charles Bronson". He said, "that's because I am"!
“Once Upon A Time In The West” starring Bronson, Henry Fonda, Claudia Cardinale is one of the truly great movies ever made by the great Sergio Leone. I’m not necessarily a big fan of too many westerns but that film is a truly epic masterpiece. Sort of underrated but an amazing film. Probably number one or two on my list of best films ever made. Ennio Morricones’ score is the epitome of greatness.
Charles Bronson was beyond to cool. I loved action movies, he was a action move guy. He was in a bunch of war movies I watched with my dad. I’m a fan of Clint Eastwood movies too.
Charles was something else. What an epic rags to riches store. Love the poem on his grave, it's a classic. I've always wondered who was the author. Jill wrote a book called Life Wish in the early days of her illness. Had no idea they were buried in Vermont, beautiful community. Thanks Jordan. RIP Charles and Jill. 💖🌷🕊️ 🌈
Charles was one of my dad's favorite actors. That line from Death Wish was his favorite! He watched those movies so many times! RIP to both my dad and Charles. Would be so cool if they're hanging out together now in the afterlife! 🖤
My all time favourite actor loved all his movies growing up but hard times is my all time favourite movie must have seen it at least 50 times, he was a brilliant actor rip Charles and jill, thanks Jordan
Charles was born approximately 10 minutes from my home. I live just above Johnstown, PA. (Yes where Slap Shot was filmed) In Ehrenfeld Pennsylvania! He was interviewed one time and said he and his friends would jump from the 2 bridges (one in South Fork, PA and one in Summerhill, PA. The South Fork bridge was torn down a new one took its place). onto coal cars heading to or out of Johnstown, PA.
I read poem for my dad, Leo Marks..The life that I have his funeral....in the green, green grass will be yours and yours and yours, it was poem Leo Marks for decoding in WW2, beautiful poem😊
I loved this one ! My first and most favorite Star as a Young Boy ! My first Bedroom Poster was Him with Mussels , He had the IT FACTOR ! He was an Original One Of A KIND ! When you saw him on anything he did ,You Had To Watch ! Great inside facts for me to know and enjoy more of him ,Thanks to You !
Yep...don't make men...or actors like CB anymore. My great nephews who are mid teens recently discovered CB and LOVE his movies. So...his legacy carries on. 💪💪 CB is buried in a very lovely place. Another home run Jordan. Great video! Thank you! 💪♥️
His assistant was Kim Weeks. Who became his 3rd wife. After Jill passed away he returned home due to a death in his family. During their stay they had breakfast one morning at a restaurant in Ebensburg, PA named Kostas. (I work in Ebensburg so I frequent Kostas a lot). Patrons wanted his autograph and he told the owner no problem just let them finish their breakfast first. He was very cordial the the customers and staff. I can’t remember what Charlie had for breakfast. But Kim had oatmeal with raisins. I remember that all these years later because I never heard of anyone eating oatmeal w/ raisins.
Great vlog. I remember seeing Charles on The Tonight show. He always seemed such a big, strong man. I'm glad he's buried with Jill. Thank you for all the hard work you put into these videos. I enjoy them. You and Jah take care.
Another story I heard was he use to swim at Liberty Park , not far from his home. (I even remember swimming there I was maybe 9/10). He would get on the diving board and show off telling all his friends - the people there that he was going to go to Hollywood and make movies.
Great vlog! I loved watching these movies, too with my dad! ;) So tragic with the first wife, and I guess he did truly find his soul mate. Beautiful couple, such humanity & love to adopt all those kids. When you read that epitaph, it made me cry. Ty for sharing. Hard life that turned into a beautiful love story.
Hi Jordan..great video as always. Nice seeing Jah enjoying the ride with his Dad. Some one also mentioned that Charles Bronson helped David McCallum get more noticed in Hollywood as well. Nicely done gravesite along with the beautiful poem. RIP Charles,Jill, and David M. ❤🙏🌹🌟
❤nice. Favorite line he ever said in the movie to me,was when he got quiche, took a bite said “thought it was pie” we quoted that forever. To note: David McCollum’s son is Val, and is the guitar player in Jackson Brown’s band.
Thank you Jordan! I grew up watching this man in movies. I never knew how much my father and Charles Bronson had in common in growing up. They were same age, son of coal miners ethnic families. They may have even been from same town here in Pennsylvania! I don't know if my father knew that but he loved Charles Bronson!
I just love these are not just “Hey, famous people!” It’s the stories you bring. What a fascinating man! To me it seems there are very few current celebs like these old Hollywood stars. Thanks!
I had such a crush on Charles Bronson. Especially when I saw the Great Escape. He was a wonderful actor and human being. I thought he and Jill Ireland made a perfect couple. You could tell they were so much in love. Rest in peace Charles and Jill
Rest in Peace Charles and Jill ✝️Much respect for your service to our great country 🇺🇸 no actor like him today always a great actor ⚡💥 All Gods angels are in Heaven ✝️🕊️🇺🇸
Thank you so much Jordan I actually just watched The Magnificent seven I had not watched it in years it’s my 87 yr old dad’s favourite movie too the scenery and music was just brilliant 😊❤️
The story i read years ago is Jill's ashes were put into his walking cane. When they were at their horse farm here in Vermont, they both loved walking all of the hiking trails on the property. So when she passed, when he was walking those same trails he would have Jill along. That cane is buried with Charles. I try to get to the gravesite every fall when the leaves are turning. The view from his grave of Mt Ascutney, just a short distance away, is picturesque.
You're in my state VT!! You need to visit Hope Cemetery in Barre VT. Not Hollywood related but still very beautiful. A lot of the stones were made by Italian immigrants that worked at the Granite Quarry in Barre.
Thanks for doing this story Jordan! I too watched Death Wish 1 2 & 3! Jill was so pretty and always loved her long blonde hair! Smooches to JAH! 🌈🌈🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸
This was so interesting. He was one of my all time favorite actors. You are So right about the one liners he could do and how with one look you knew exactly how he felt & what was coming. I had forgotten how he passed away & it's heartbreaking to think about such a strong man dying the way he did. Alzheimer's is such terrible disease. He did love Jill so much & it was so sad for him once she passed away. I've always felt that behind the tough & angry man on screen there was someone with a very tender heart & I'm glad I was right...caring for his friends children...caring for Jill for so long & then oddly caring for his caretaker. Thanks Jordan for sharing his story.
thank you for this video!! my father and I used to watch his films too....beautiful memories (my father was a big fan of Charles, he passed away in 2010) and "dead wish", I didn't know it was like that name it, it was one of my favorites! love from Romania!!!
Thank you Jordan for yet another tremendous biography. What a peaceful (almost pastoral) gravesite for an actor that is remembered for portraying such tough, 'street wise' characters - a beautiful spot. Sadly, David McCallum also passed away only a couple of weeks ago. May they all rest in peace.
I agree 100% Jordan Charles Bronson and the Death wish series bad ass instead. Great actor. I Just watched him the other night on The magnificent seven. Great 🎥 movie. Yes remember him as Igor. Thank you for sharing this video.
I heard that Jill didn't want a grave or a memorial. just to be buried with Charlie."man with a camera" was an excellent show...only two seasons, got it on DVD.
I was newly married and moved to Germany from Colorado with my husband (USAF). There was a party we went to and they had one of the “Death Wish” movies on. Charles Bronson & Jill Ireland two awesome people for sure! I really enjoyed their movies.

Thank you for sharing your passion with those of us who cannot travel.
🙏❤️
My favorite film is “Once Upon A Time In The West,” for numerous reasons, including Bronson’s amazing role as “Harmonica.”
I live in Vermont. Very surprised you made it to my little state.
Two stories I read about him stick with me to this day:
