    I truly don’t understand why this channel doesn’t have more subscribers, let alone already be at/passed 1 million subscribers. Not only do we get to see where many late famous people are laid to rest, but the facts behind each one are so interesting. You don’t even have to know any of them to enjoy the videos. I always have my notifications on and I get so excited when a new one is posted. One of my favorite channels❤️

    • @Marcel_Audubon
      @Marcel_Audubon 4 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      you would think so - in the old days Disney would distance itself from someone who went to prison and died in a flophouse, but in 2020 who gives a good goddamn? he made the studio a lot of money, earned an Oscar while under contract there ...show him a little respect!

      Though I don't recall him (Bobby Driscoll) it's sad that to this day he's in Potter's Field out on Rikers Island. So much talent but not enough belief to continue a career. Disney is also famous for destroying kids and making it impossible to move on with their careers.

    Today was a bad day mentally. I was reminded once more how no income as an author makes our financial situation worse. I cannot pay the bills. Christmas is coming up and everyone is telling us about their wonderful plans while patting us on the back. Seeing this video brightened my night a little. The calm voice, production, editing, history lessons, everything made me realize that I could still try again. Thank you, Mr. Dark. You make this depressed author smile.

      I'm a nurse, a very small child when we got the polio vaccine on a sugar cube, I believe it was every Sunday after church for 3 weeks. Don't stress over it, it was anti polio . We are so lucky we got that. I am waiting for the covid -19 virus there are researchers working around the clock to find it. Too many people have died from it. 2020 has been a waste to me so far.

    • @jamesclendon4811
      @jamesclendon4811 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The first widespread vaccination campaign in the US was with the Salk vaccine in 1955--that was injected with a needle. The one swallowed on the sugar cube was the Sabin vaccine, first widely administered in 1961. I vaguely remember getting both. Years later my mother talked about how she and others in the 40's and 50's dreaded the arrival of summer, because that's apparently when the disease was most prevalent--as Mr Dark said it was a huge concern for parents. I had a cousin who was stricken with polio around that time--she spent months or years in a hospital and the rest of her life in a wheelchair, able to use only one hand, and neither leg.

    Junior Seau’s death particularly shocking and sad, Bobby Driscoll’s fall very tragic, Patti Page’s voice beautiful and haunting.

    Love watching these videos.. I mean, who doesn’t love to walk around cemeteries. Fascinates me, though my wife thinks both are depressing.
    What is sad is the number of people who died young... Makes you think about your own life, and those important to you.
    I wish everyone here a long and happy life.

    Well done ! I really enjoyed this video, The bit on Patti Page and her song 'How much is that doggie in the window' our Dad would sing that when we were kids. It brought back a nice memory. Showing us Jonas Salk's marker and your words about the current pandemic were inspired and thoughtful. Thank you

    Bobby Driscoll should be acknowledged as a Disney Legend. He did great work. The pairing of Bobby Driscoll with Robert Newton, in Disney's Treasure Island, is unforgettable. It's a treasure in itself.

    Sir I just have to give you a massive thank you. I’ve been watching these videos for 2 years now and I’ve discovered so many musicians, actors, directors, etc from these videos. I knew heard of INXS before your video at Michael Hutchences grave, now I’m a massive fan. Discovered Gene Tierney, Tab Hunter, Jim Croce, Mae West, and so many more from watching these videos. I’m always excited whenever you upload a new video. They are absolutely incredible. So thank you again
