Jonbenet will always have a special place in my thoughts. She was born August 6, 1990 and i was born August 13 1990. She didn't get to graduate high school, go to college, have her first job, get married, have children etc. Rest in heavenly peace Jonbenet

In my book JonBenet Ramsey, the Great American Tragedy, I note that in the basement was a poster for the film Death on the Nile. This is a story of someone willing to do anything for love, and a crime that seems unsolvable until you realize the victim was involved in the cover up. That story seems strangely familiar.
Buried directly beside JonBenet is her half sister Elizabeth Pasch “Beth” Ramsey who passed away in a car accident at the age of 22 years old. Her grave is also listed on the Find A Grave website.
Interesting to know what Elizabeth would come through n say. Hmmm 🤔

This is so sad and strange😢I live in Colorado and we were in Bolder at times and saw the house on 15th street. It’s really strange that they never found anyone at all that could be the killer

This is such a tragic story. I can't believe that her parents would of ever been able to do the terrible things that were done to their precious daughter. That just never made sense to me. Very sad for Mr. Ramsey & his son to have lost Jonbenet & then their wife & mother. Part of me wants to believe that this case will be solved but so many years have gone by that I don't know that it ever will be. You did an excellent job Jordan telling this story with kindness , compassion & heartfelt honesty. RIP Jonbenet. 💗

I was 4 years old when this happened and my mom said i was glued to the tv … i was a dancer and loved to be on stage so i was just drawn to her. Im sad its never been solved :(

Wealth, power and corruption in high places - helped by an inept police investigation, run by woefully inexperienced detectives.
If the Ramseys had been ordinary people, not rich, influential ones, they'd have been prosecuted for their child's strangulation death under their own roof and their sole charge, within weeks.

I think that as long as John Ramsey walks the earth and money is no object. There’s someone out there that sleeps very uneasy.
Rumors say a young man was suspected but before committed suicide before the case could get anywhere. If it was him he isnt sleeping uneasy or easy
'Occam's Razor' - the simplest explanation is the most likely. Jonbenet was statistically most likely to have been killed by an adult male relative who was living with her. The nature of the quote 'chronic, long-term' sexual abuse she suffered (revealed at her autopsy), indicates that's precisely the profile of her attacker - someone who had the opportunity and easy access to sexually assault her on a very regular basis.
Jonbenet was statistically much less likely to be killed by an unidentified intruder, her mother Patsy, or her pre-pubescent, sexually immature brother Burke.
I subscribe to the theory of respected forensic pathologist Dr Cyril Wecht - Jonbenet was killed by her father accidentally, during criminal, sadistic sexual abuse, featuring high-risk asphyxiation/ligature strangulation. Shocked and distraught on learning of her daughter's death, her mother Patsy then colluded with her husband in a cover up involving a fake ransom letter, in order to keep him out of prison.
Bad enough for Patsy to have lost her little girl, she didn't want to lose her husband and protector, and potentially every other perk she enjoyed in her privileged life thanks to him. So she prioritised her own ruthless self-interest, above justice for her child. For the remaining 10 years of her life Patsy stood shoulder to shoulder with her husband, Jonbenet's killer, and pushed the bogus 'intruder theory' she knew full well was total garbage.
I remember when this happened; everyone thought it was the parents.. I got the feeling that it was probably the guy that worked at the salvage yard & told a buddy he was gonna have $$ soon , but killed himself a few days after Jon Benet was killed - supposedly his boot prints matched some at the scene ..
I still believe they are involved.Same with the McCanns and Madeleine.
Quick question: Didn't they save DNA traces that would lead with nowadays modern technics to solving this case? I can't believe they still can't solve this case in 2023. It's astonishing to me.
Hardly any DNA left to test. 2008 last DNA test from JB fingernails an underpants was linked to 2 unknown males 1 was a Hispanic. I kinda thi k with detective Thomas an CBS was sued an lost pushing the family cover up night they just gonna let case die. They completely know they completely clueless that the house was a crime scene an JB laid dead in a separate basement room for 6 hours while they were there. No doubt truly embarrassing for Boulder police

My logical brain always says why would someone leave a ransom note and leave behind the person they are ransoming. That’s the opposite of what a ransom note is for. Oh and if I’m a sicko burglar murderer I’m taking that girl back out the window with me so I can get the ransom money. I am not going to waste my time on a 3 page ransom note walking around the lounge room and guarantee to not get the ransom. If it doesn’t add up, then the truth was left out.
Actually like a detective with an open mind. The random clearly is talking to John Patsy they know the bonus amount the movie quotes from posters in her basement walls. That's a random for money the kidnap was JB when JB screamed around 1 am a neighbor heard that an sadly did not call police or patsy that's when the random turned murder they hid her body in a separate basement room closed the door an left an left ransom letter behind. That's what I believe happened

A man that confessed to his friend in Ventura, called him and said he did something horrible and didn’t mean to kill her, he said it was a accident, that’s why he didn’t take her

Unfortunately for JonBenet Ramsey, this was a classic case of how NOT to conduct a murder investigation. That's all I will say.

Yeah an if Boulder police was not clueless properly trained for a kidnap call. John never would have found his daughter 6 hours after 1st cop arrives forensics mixed an ruined cops clueless for hours in a house with family an friends who should have been removed after arriving. This case clearly should be training for any police department of what not to do on a kidnap call

I hope someday this will be solved and the monster brought to justice. Part of the problem was the more experienced police had taken the holidays off and less seasoned officers were in charge. They shouldn't have let so many people in the house. Maybe someday, DNA will be matched by another crime scene, or an Ancestry test. I hope so.

I am finally convinced that neither of the parents nor Burke had anything to do with it, but why was it never proven that the letter wasnt written by Patsy, wasnt it proven it was very close to her hand writting by at least 3 experts, & the ransom was Jons exact Christmas bonus amount? You really need to steer clear of topics like this . Some of us having heard a lot of testimony of on the scene investigators , find the most likely murderers to be the parents due to a great many factors . Getting all squishy over certain people is painful to hear . This case has caused a whole lot of strife , just like the O.J. case .

Great job Jordan. I worked at a video store back when this happened and we would discuss the case all night. I always believed it was someone at the party or someone that saw her at pageants and became obsessed with her. The person came in a door or window but went out the basement. The first cops on the scene totally ruined the entire case. I wonder if they can use genealogical dna now?

Many who believe the family cover up night don't even know JB laid dead on a basement floor in a small seperate room with door closed an soon after arriving a cop walks right by the separate basement room door an never opens that door. Can't believe cops untrained didn't know the house was a crime scene they didn't find JB for 6 hours when a clueless detective tells john to go around again an look real good he finally opens the seperate basement room door an finds his daughter. Truly a case for any training of young cops how to handle a police call of a kidnap random letter left INSIDE an child taken.

I remember when this case came about but in today’s world with all the technology we have now I find it so hard to believe that they can’t pinpoint somebody’s DNA in this DNA when they have everybody’s DNA somewhere by now I’m sure I find it hard to believe they can’t pinpoint up

Only one person know what really happened that day and you can't escape. When someone is truly guilty they may not suffer through man's laws but you won't escape God's judgment. I remember this story and now you hear about all sorts of things people doing to little children. RIP LITTLE 😇

The perp was hiding in the basement waiting for everyone to go to sleep more than likely. It sure wouldn't be the first time that ever happened. I don't believe that anyone in the family had any thing to do with it. I've been to the gravesite a time or two. My family gave the graveyard to the city a long time ago. It used to be a part of their yard. Original house is up in the retirement community on the other side.
The pineapple in her stomach….others have speculated that JonBenet took a piece that Burke wanted.
He hit her ‘too hard’ on the head with a flashlight, that blow is what killed her.
Forensic analysists have listened to the 911 call, have said that Burke can be heard in the background, saying, ‘what are you telling them?”
Everything else….her in the basement, the open window, the suitcase, were done to throw suspicion to someone else.
The family is responsible. RIP Jon Benet. All this is beyond our imagination how a parent or sibling could do this or even be involved but in this case I believe it's true. Sad to say the family was involved. Reputation and money and higher power has won out in this case. However, I will keep praying for Justice for JonBenet. RIP JONBENET RAMSEY ❤️

Something they found out recently was marks on Jon Benet i think on her upper body 2 small burns from a taser. Thats how they kt her quiet. Bolder police were not used to dealing with munder. They should have called the feds in to help. I never believed that they killed their daughter. Saw the, at her funeral they both looked like they were gutted.the whole thing was so sad. R.I. P. Actually, it was never determined if hit her with his backswing when she was standing too close behind him, or if he hit her on purpose.

The investigation was botched from the beginning so we’ll never know what happened. There were four people in the house that night and there were no footprints in the snow leading away from the house…

Nope - that was a garbage, totally hypothetical theory presented as fact by a cruddy documentary on the case - Jonbenet's brother Burke successfully sued the TV company concerned.
Pineapple found in Jonbenet's stomach is significant, because it indicates she was not put to bed asleep and never came downstairs again, as her parents claim.

I remember watching her brother on the Dr. Phil show stating that he was the one who did it and it was an accident, but since DNA tested, it should have cleared the family. That said, I think it was someone the family knew, but I think the family did cover it up which is beyond belief that someone's family can do that, but you don't know what goes on behind closed doors. I hope they find out who did it.

The mother loved her child. The princess of her life, the babe from her womb. People who are alive can say anything they want to say, a lot of it because they are envious of wealthy people.
