So every yellow arch is typically a fish? I have an Elite Ti2 I'm learning. So far I haven't caught any of the yellow arches, lol. I'm about to quit messing around and get a used Active Target.
Hy, I have a problem with mai Simrad GO7 XSR with transducers active imagine 3 in 1 maybe you can help me to undestend if it's a problem or should be work like so: 1.If i start the sonar without transducer attached on DownScan i have bouth frecvency available 455 and 800kHz and if i connect the transducer remaining those two frecvency availeble. 2.If i start the sonar with the transducer connected on DownScan i do not have this option to choose the frecvency,i m confused if it's problem or should work like so,but if you see the step on first point it's totally different. Please if you have some answer do not hesitate to respond. Thank you!
I am considering adding a active imaging transducer to my Simrad Evo unit. I am wanting to be able to see side and down imaging on it. I currently have the Airmar B60 in hull on it. I am also running a Humminbird Helix unit with the transducer mounted on the Starboard side of the transom. Would I be better off installing the Active Imaging transducer on the port side of the transom or installing it on the Starboard side also about 16” away from the Humminbird transducer? I am a little concerned about interference and cross talk between the two transducers. The bottom of the hull is equally clean on both sides, running a single Suzuki DF300 with a right hand rotation prop.
Nice Video!i bought a hds life with a 2 in 1 active Imaging and Aimar TM 150 transducer and saw some amazing things with it. I'm just not sure which is the right installation choice for the 2 in 1 transducer. The Airmar is automatically detected and installed correctly. Can you give me a hint which naming should be chosen for the 2 in 1 during the Installation?
Jacob can I use a NEP2 to connect my Gen 3 to my Elite FS 9 and Active target and view the active target on both units ? If not , will the side scan {way points that I mark } from my Gen 3 show up on my front unit Elite FS 9
The Gen3 will not be able to show ActiveTarget even if connected via ethernet. As per the waypoints, yes, they will be appearing to both units. In that case you only need to have the units connected via NMEA2000.
Hi Jacob - I have an HDS Carbon 12 with an AI 3 in 1 transducer (no 3D module). Seems like the general consensus on software version for Carbons is the 18.3-61.1.155. Any thoughts on this? Thanks and great videos!
@@TeamJesusOutdoors The Active Imaging 3in1 transducer uses a redesigned set of elements that allow us to achieve increased resolution and improves range complete spec can be found at www.lowrance.com

@@lowrance I have a hook reveal 7, can I put the active image 3 in 1transducer on this and have side scan? At present it's a split shot. I have no idea whats possible. I expect the image would be improved from standard but maybe not having the side scan?
I currently have HDS 5's with the LSS1, but my wife just got me a HDS 9 Live. Does the 3 in 1 transducer eliminate the need for the LSS1? Is the 3 in 1 transducer all I need to run or should I upgrade the LSS1 to Structure Scan 3d? I keep getting different answers even from Lowrance Tech support.
Hi The 3in1 transducer will provide structure on you 5"HDS units. You would see an improvement in the overall performance of the 5" units however you would not be able to utilize the high definition color palletes availble on Carbon or Live units. Having the 3in1 transducer and networking the units together via Ethernet you could eliminate the LSS unit and transducer Structure 3D is completely different technology and would require the addition of the Structure 3d module and a structure 3d transducer. Structure 3d is another tool in the toolbox that can provide the spatial relationship of fish to the vessel. With Structure3D you have a better idea of where the fish are increasing the probability that you are placing you bait where the fish are. I hope that helps

Hi Robert, great question... Short answer, no. But here's why: DownScan Overlay and FishReveal are two completely separate technologies. DownScan overlay is when you overlay your DownScan view on top of traditional 2D sonar. FishReveal is when you overlay your 2D fish arches on top of your DownScan view. There's a bit more processing that goes into FishReveal, but we've found that it makes a much clearer image, and really provides the best of both sonar technologies (2D and DownScan).
@@lowrance Thanks for the explanation. One other question I have. I have a HDS12 Gen2 Touch with my HDS12 Live unit in same network. The HDS12 Live is in Legacy mode. Do I lose any quality or performance in that I am only using my 3 in 1 transducer at this time? At this time, I have no need for connecting up another transducer to the other channel. Maybe later, I can get another HDS12 Live and have both same units on same network but for now, the $$ are not in the cards.
My god, is that what my HDS live down scan is suppose to look like? That is super clear and awesome looking. I have 15k invested in Lowrance products and my down scan on the HDS live 12 and 3 in 1 active transducer that came with it looks like the old space invader game. It is very pixilated and unclear. It Looks like total garbage compared to what is shown In this video. In fact I had better picture on my old Gen 2 and old transducer. How the heck do I get my units to have such a clear picture?
Probably because the Lowrance headquarters is located in the middle of North America - over 500 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, and over 1,200 miles to the Atlantic Ocean.

I have Elites on my bassboat. Can I leave them on boat when not using or do I have to remove every time. Was told heat will hurt them.
Would like to know the same ??????

It’s not ! 3 in 1 is 10x better
How come I can't turn of spotlight on the HDS7?
I turn it off, but on reboot its always back on in the menu.
One more question> will the transducer for the Elite FS9 work on my Gen3 Unit ? If not, what is the latest and best transducer to use for my Gen3
If you're referring to the AI 3in1, the Gen3 is not compatible with it.
The HDS Gen3 is compatible with the totalscan transducer, ref. 000-12568-001

Can I have this on a gen 2
What frequency does Down imaging with a AI 3n1 use? Was told down imaging is fixed to 600 mhz while side imaging is either 455 or 800.
Indeed, the downscan frequencies is fixed, and it is around 600kHz, while sidescan can use 455kHz or 800kHz

Yes, your Elite FS comes with the AI 3in1 transducer.

Does the Lawrence hook 2 have down imaging?
Most of the Hook2/Hook Reveal units have downscan. Only the Hook2 4x series does not have downscan capabilities.
