Ibadan is not what a lot of Lagos people think it is. Yes, Lagos is a mega city but Ibadan is mega city too, just that they operate on different levels. Thanks for watching, I hope you subscribed? Please share if you can too, Thank you 😉

If you have not been to Ibadan you never been anywhere in Nigeria.
Ibadan is the home of Yoruba politics.
The first skyscraper in West Africa, Ist University, Stadium, Teaching Hospital (UCH) in Nigeria, even West Africa.
You Lagosians think you're first in everything, no Sir.

I grew up in Bodija estate and I remember when my dad acquired some plots of land in kolapo ishola when it was abandoned, now the value of the land is like 20-30x what we got it for and we’re still holding. The next place I’m looking at now is Moniya where the train station is, I believe it’s called moniya, currently land there is as cheap as 3-5 million a plot depending on the location, in a few years that place will become very expensive too!

The problem of Ibadan is lack of visionary leader...they need young and exposed Leader to modernize Ibadan just like Lagos .... The city itself needs complete redesign and rebranding, because it has everything except a visionary leader to be the second richest and most peaceful city in Nigeria .

      Hello Nurudeen !
      This is 📌📌📌📌📌
I was born here, I had my Primary and secondary school here, I cannot but agree with you in all. The city itself needs a complete redesign/makeover. The landmass is everything. Compared to Lagos, all our land is land not water 😂. I appreciate your time to watch and your very thoughtful comment. I do hope you subscribed 😉. Thank you again.

Going by the prices called for plot of lands in choice locations in Ibadan. It seems Ibadan is far more expensive than Lagos to acquire property - if those prices are accurate. Which says a lot, considering the significant difference in economic activities between the two cities.
I'm curious though, what will be the size of the plots at 100m to 400m. Is it 400, 500, 600, 1,000.
But then, what's the economic significance of Ibadan when compared with Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt that the properties are this expensive?

    • @theayoemmanueltv
      @theayoemmanueltv  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

When it comes to Real Estate in 2021/2022, Yes, Ibadan is expensive. Some of the areas/estates mentioned in that video is solely for expatriates and the super rich. With the massive movement of Lagosians into Ibadan, prices of properties are increasing by the day, it's that "bad".
The sizes of the land and the prices depends on who is selling, as there's no body regulating how much to sell what.
Finally, Ibadan is not a village, it's a city, visit and you'll be convinced.
Thanks for watching my video, I hope you subscribed.

Ibadan is the major commercial centre in the Southwest apart from Lagos. It also holds educational significance with UI producing core components of postgraduate studies and research in Nigeria. It is also contain one of top tertiary health institution. Majority of the agricultural research institutes in Nigeria are domiciled in Ibadan. It's a major export market for minerals and agricultural resources in southwest Nigeria

Apart from Jericho and Aerodrome, Ibadan does not really do colomentality naming of estates like Lagos is full of.
It is only in Lagos you will see "Atlantic Ocean estate" and the estate is 9 miles from the Atlantic Ocean.
Or where you will see "Lekki Gardens Estate" and not a single garden or even blade of grass or spring flower in the vicinity. All you will see is concrete jungle.

All am seeing here are dirty estates because they lack basic infrastructures like good roads and lightings. Nigeria is a country that lacks maintenance even banana island in Lagos have been left with all the drainage system now open and the paved roads are not maintained. No matter how the country is fixed it can never get close to UAE.
