Hi shaun ( best mate) Another good blog of swinton brought back alot of memories we had the best fishing club the gate inn and the best landlord ever George & Mary jowett in them days a waiting list to get in and 40 members. It's a good walk down the golden mile pubs alway along but now alot have shut down at the bottom end and the ship knocked down happy memories back in the day. You mentioned the pottery pond I've stopped in that house that's were my brother in law lived and grew up there and in that house. Keep them coming always enjoyable to watch keep seeing Larry lamb. Thanks for a mention. Sheffield was a good night. But expensive but expected that was a bit drunk was very busy went up on train and came back in taxi. Hope Mrs Yorkshire OK Best mate

Eyup mate. I’ve only ever been to Wombwell a few times when I had to go to the Yorkshire bank after the ones in Mexborough and Goldthorpe shut down, that was the closest. I might head out and take a look pal.
Hey up mate ,another great vlog . As you know I'm a black gold drinker I'm being made redundant next week and hoping to go to that theer Ireland to see family. They have a pub in Dublin so will get my first real taste of Guinness
Glad you enjoyed it mate. It used to be awesome back in the day. Still a fair few pubs to go on a crawl though, but lots quieter than it used to be. Busy during the summer !
Back in the day , a Friday night pub crawl in swinton was bang on . Start at the gate and work your way down to the bottom club and the tow path then the ship I think it was called . Happy days they were mate !!
@AbroadYorkshire aup shaun , me and my partner love watching your videos. You don't take owt serious and have a laugh while your out and about . Keep it up mate 👍
Swinton Picture house was Roxy, Harry Taylor use to have canal tavern on Swinton bridge before he took over Ferry boat inn at Mexborough in fact think he was a boxer in 60s, Mr waddington boatyard owner lived opp Mexborough Parish church, Harry Taylor reason I knew him when was I was a kid an he lived opposite on Hope street in Mexborough. LNER club was a still is in Swinton on left before bridge. All the best, Rob.
I feel partly responsible for the shortage of Guinness as my drinking the Irish hospitality only started in October in the finest bar in benidorm "the shamrock" so we are both to blame mate haha
Off to York next week for a few days for Wifes birthday but if tha wants a tour of Wombwell boozers after Christmas let me know and I'll gladly show thi rarrrnd.
Mate if you have 10k subscribers now your gonna have to change the concept up a bit, nobody wants to sit and watch you say hello to people who want a shoutout, its mundane and boring.
Thanks Andrew. It’s something I’ve done from day 1 so I’ll just do what I have always done. If I don’t get the views then it’ll be time to stop, just as I was going to when we came back from Benidorm. Everything comes to an end at some point mate, luckily I’m not like other TH-camrs who need to do it as it’s the way they make a living. Cheers for watching mate. It’s just a bit of a laugh and entertainment. A break from the daily routine of caring for my wife.
Hey Shaun, Maggie and Chris watching from Brisbane, THX for the shout out😮
G’day Maggie, My absolute pleasure. Thanks for taking the time to watch. Say Hi to Chris for me too.
