    Brilliant! Gerard is such a talker. I am saving up for the following B.S. I have already started intermittent fasting, 16-8. I know my next step is reliable walking daily for an hour. I am working up to it. Today I got 30 minutes. Tomorrow will be 31+. 💜💜💜💟

    It always makes me chuckle when people join a program then want to change it to suit what they’re currently doing. If what you’re doing isn’t working then why not try the program the way it’s written?

    To answer the question of what you can do before it begins, I would say to begin walking so that on the first day you’re able to do the 60 minutes with no difficulty and to keep it up for the 10 weeks (and hopefully beyond.)

    Bodyslims is life changing !!! Bottom line ! Best 25$ a week I have ever spent . It has given me confidence and a desire form good habits in the rest of my life .

    Great vid and top quality content.
    It was an amazing journey to do BS for the first and successful time. 100% commitment meant no wine (OMG) or lazy carbs like bread pasta etc. (OMG). If you had said to me early 2023 that I would change my habits, eliminate wine etc for 10 weeks and feel really satisfied with an alternative focus I would have run away. My daughter who had completed one course successfully had decided to do a follow up to finish the journey. (Original size 14 to size 8. Well done to her and she’s luvving it).
    She persuaded me to give it a go. It wasn’t her weight loss that was inspiring although it was really visible. It was her confidence, self belief, motivation, appreciation and kindness towards herself.
    I watched the seminar and listened to the audio of it EVERY DAY until the next one.
    Positive whispers every night. Just saying.
    It’s 8 weeks since completion of April course ended July 5th with 28lbs loss achieved.
    As Gerard says the pay back is there every day. Clothes fitting well. Climbing stairs easily. Body discomfort gone. This programme is gold standard.

    Hi Carla, I’m making this comment with nothing but respect, but honestly this whole video was a little bit worrying in that a lot of what Bodyslims advises seems to be directly counter to most modern weight loss science. There might be a good reason for that, and I would love to be proven wrong, but there are several points in particular that really, really worried me. It would be amazing to have these addressed in some way 😊
    1. Why does Bodyslims encourage members to be in such a large calorie deficit? I know that no specific numbers are discussed in the video, but given that Gerard says members frequently say, ‘I’m going to be starving!’ and looking at some of your ‘What I eat in a day’ videos, it’s clear that the calorie limits are pretty low. Most of the science shows that the best way to lose weight, and keep it off, is gradually, with a moderate calorie deficit. Could you explain why Bodyslims encourages a large calorie deficit?
    2. Why is weight training discouraged? Weight training has been shown time and time and time again to be excellent for fat loss and has a slew of health benefits. Why on earth would it be discouraged, especially when the person asking the question already said they loved weight training? Surely encouraging someone to break a fantastic healthy habit just for the sake of following a programme is dogmatic and counterintuitive?
    3. The question about how Bodyslims is different to other slimming clubs wasn’t really answered in any meaningful way. When you said, ‘It works,’ well, any slimming club can claim to work if you follow the programme to the letter. Go to Slimming World, Weight Watchers, Cambridge Weight Plan, Exante diet, and god knows how many others, and their websites and PR materials all have tens, if not hundreds, of success stories showing members who lost huge amounts of weight using their programmes. Anecdotes and individual success stories are not proof that Bodyslims is any better than any other weight loss programme. What’s the long-term success rate? How many members stick the programme out? How many members maintain that weight loss once they’ve lost it? You said a lot about behaviour change… isn’t every weight loss programme about behaviour change to some extent? The only tangible differences I could see is the 10-week cycles as opposed to being every week.
    4. When you said ‘You can eat whatever you want’, that isn’t something unique or different about Bodyslims. Most weight loss programmes claim you can eat whatever you want, as long as you remain in a calorie deficit. In fact, given that Bodyslims seems to keep calories very low, you’re probably less likely to be able to eat what you want on Bodyslims than on other weight loss programmes.
    5. Regarding loose skin. Gerard is absolutely correct that you can’t ‘tone’ loose skin per se, but weight training can absolutely improve the appearance of loose skin by ‘filling out’ the void left behind by losing fat. Again, given that we as a society seem to have, thankfully, moved past the ‘weight training will make me bulky’ assumption, it’s really strange to have it be actively discouraged as part of Bodyslims.
    Please don’t take this comment as being hateful or rude, I promise it isn’t intended to be! It’s just that there are some aspects, e.g. discouraging weight training, large calorie deficit etc., which are odd given the latest research. Hope that makes sense and thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this 😊

      Hope I can help answer a few 😊
      Bodyslims is not extreme at all .. people can feel fearful starting any weightloss regime and one of the fears .. afraid of being hungry /starving .. but people can eat loads on the program
      Weight training is not promoted only while on the program .. 10 weeks . Bodyslims is not anti weight training . Gerard does explain this in the video . We get hundreds of gym goers who come to us , shift the weight and resume the gym after the 10 weeks 👍
      Bodyslims is very different to other weightloss programs . Gerard addresses 3 areas .. food /exercise and of course the mind ! Fix the head and the ass will follow 😍
      Gerard supports you through the 10 weeks on a daily basis . The mental side of this program is huge . Bodyslims is a process which brings each person on a journey . To understand bodyslims you need to do it .. probably more than once ❤

    I've signed up for the worldwide BodySlims program without coaching (the one with coaching sadly was already sold out) and am hoping it will be the start of something more positive. Have been thinking about this for a year now, this is not an impulse decision 🙂

      Don't worry re not getting the couching one, the only difference is you get feedback on your food diary. I did the sept without coaching & it was amazing. Can't wait for Jan one to start.

    💜💜💜 Thank you both! I'm beginning week 5. Never thought I would start to believe I could do it, but that is the most amazing thing about this. It's becoming harder and harder to argue with my own success. It turns out I can do this! I especially love that Gerard is so good at knowing what my excuses are that it makes me laugh on a daily basis. Whenever I think I need to take it easy the next day Gerard announces it needs to be a hot day. What again? Yes! Lol. The man is hilarious.

    BodySlims really works! My starting weight in September ‘22 was 22.5 stone. ‘If Carla can do it, maybe I can, too” was my hope as I began. In 10 weeks I dropped 3.5 stones. Maintenance over the holidays had it’s slippery spots, but water weight from enjoying a few white carbs came off today and I’m celebrating my 4th stone gone!!! I’m motivated to continue the BodySlims lifestyle and so excited for the January session to start!

    ❤❤💜💜 i will do this program one day carla. I hv spent thousands on pt and have lost some weight and body fat and gained muscle. I went on this journey to lose visceral fat and overall body fat and i cannot undo years of muscle building by stopping weight training for 10 weeks! But i lovethe concept and think if i rly cant see anymore progress i may try it out. Im 58yo this year and tired ofbeing overweight. Its mainly for my healththat im doing this. It was around this time last year that you turned me onto BS but I was too late for Jan but I signed up there and then for April and haven’t looked back! I did 2 programs and lost 35 pounds, I want to lose 10 more but if I don’t do it on my own I will be back to BS in Apr and if I do I will be back anyway just for the mental benefits. We have just come through the holidays and man I never got tired of hearing I looked great. Also really happy to report I maintained my weight and no Xmas gain. Thanks to both of you!     I love this but I wish things like PCOS and insulin resistance were discussed because for a huge portion of us it's not as simple as a calorie deficit and an hour walk. I look at food and pick up weight, and exercise loads :( my body cannot use what it needs properly. I wouldn't be able to do body slims by the sounds of it, but it seems to work great for so many and I'm happy it helps!

    I'm 5 ft 7 and 190 lbs😓 was binge eating and carb and sugar cravings but will try to do more walking and see what these body slims are. I feel so ugly it's the first ti.e at 49 years old I've been fat😔
