Thankyou, the only working video I found for removing the stupid widgets screen which constantly interrupted me while writing near the edges on my 2 in 1.
why do the big companies keep on foisting stuff on us that we not only don't want, but that we absolutely hate because they did. The thing on iPhones that tries to sort out your widgets is just as useless and annoying. I think I'm getting grumpy ahead of time. And I subscribed because your explanation in the video was so clear - although I thought I was looking at my home screen until things started moving - then I twigged...
It worked previously. now it Shows + CategoryInfo : ObjectNotFound: (winget:String) [], CommandNotFoundException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : CommandNotFoundException please Help
Awesome, functional and simple. The problem is that after a few days I have the widgets back on my computer. I don't know why, maybe a windows update? No idea. Does anyone have a tutorial or advice on how to prevent them from coming back? Thanks in advance for the reply.
i don't care about ram, just want to remove the widgets. these guys are so much in love with their voice that cannot stop talking crap instead of going to the point.
Thanks. It was really hard to find this. There are so many sites and video on how to get them off the taskbar, but I wanted to completely remove them. This video solved that. A computer is a tool to help me do whatever it is that I want to do. Software pushing advertisements and press releases at me is not something that I want, and it drives me crazy. Thanks.
Feels good man. Subbed. Thanks. I've wasted so much time on useless videos looking for this one. Got my first gaming pc 3 wks ago and this is all I've been doing. Windows Input Experience is next. I'm down to 31 background processes and 91 Windows processes using 3.2GB RAM idle. No idea if that's decent or not but I'm going to get it as low as I can
this did not work for me. here is the message I got: Failed when opening source(s); try the "source reset" command if the problem persists. I tried typing "source reset" but that didn't work either. It said: "source reset" is not recognized as an internal or external command
I've tried every which way you remove widgets & copilot. Nothing works, it always come back. It's making my laptop almost unusable. Thinking very seriously going with Linux. Only problem is my games only works on windows.
Thank you, I had problems with my RAM and after replacing the RAM, I was checking the Windows Reliability Monitor to see if there are any further RAM related problems and this damn widgetservice.exe kept crashing even if I had disabled Widgets in Settings. It was skewing the reliability stats. It didn't happen every time. I'm happy to have widgets if it wasn't crashing. The widgets still seemed to work ok, perhaps it was restarting at boot time before I noticed anything.
Thanks - widgets are great but my mouse hits the left side of the screen too often unintentionally activating the Pop-out - guess I should put boundaries on my mouse :)
Wonderful! One question though, what do I do if I just want some basic widgets like my local weather, sports scores and such? I don't mind those but its all the depressing news I hate, and I can't figure out how to customize the damned things
Widgets are in the registry! So trying to dedicate a certain widget can be troublesome. I'd just use a third party weather app..turn notifications on for that only. Hope that helps dude
i have a problem getting it back. Accidentally remove it and been trying to reinstall it back and never found solution. I didnt find web experience pack on mstore but when i google it, i found em. but still its not functioning. can u help me ?

Let me explain it for you here in the comments First step: Toggle off the widgets shortcut from Windows 11 taskbar. Open settings then go to personalization and then under Taskbar items toggle off or turn off the Widgets. Second step: Open CMD/Windows terminal as administrator and paste this command winget uninstall "windows web experience pack" to completely remove the Windows widgets

The widgets board has to be one of the most annoying "features" Microsoft has ever created.
After the last windows update, they just reinstalled the widgets. So Im happy once more about this quick and easy fix. thanks again.

Thank you. I was realy bugging me on my surface pro, as i kept swiping the widgets on screen. Quick and easy fix. :)

if it does not work in CMD try running the Windows Terminal as administrator and then copy and paste the command.
Important: your laptop/pc should have internet access to perform this uninstallation
