Too much serum and oil was used after the flat iron. The hair got heavy. All the oil wasnt needed after the press.
Definitely I agree with you. Not the usual finish I get but I was trying out the Shea moisture elixir for the first time, it really did weigh the hair down even though I used very little.
I probably should have mentioned this in the video but didn’t want to come across as I’m bashing the brand, the spray is good but too oily for silk press.

Beautiful work done . Beautiful silk press . You explained so much, and therefore I learned a lot. I have very thick 4b or 4chair that takes me so long to do. And I also realize that a silk bonnet keeps my hair from sweating out, because my hair will revert too when it’s humid.
