2. Infusium 23 Leave In Treatment 3. Bio Silk 17 Leave In Treatment [No creams or conditioner] 4. BioSilk Light Serum with straightening hot tool. I always wrap my hair or sleep in Velcro or clip on rollers. I don’t use pins just triangle hairnet, silk scarf and silk bonnet. ❤

I use a stocking cap. It sounds insane. However, it has been the best! It’s tight. But not super tight on my head. And I put my silk scarf on top when showering. So, I don’t have to worry about my hair reverting from the moisture. They also have stocking caps with a silk lining. I plan on ordering on.

That’s old school! My presses used to last so long as a kid using a stocking cap.
@@altheadawn2531 I’ve never had any issues with my hair reverting by putting my silk wrap on top. Everyone has their own way of doing things. And I’ve never been a shower cap/bonnet type of girl.

Thank you so much! I saw a short video on with a one flexi rod . She gather all her hair around the flexirod and set the rod on top of her head. So it doesn’t get in the way while sleeping. I think I saw it on TikTok

I like the method where you put that one big satin roller In The top of your head and then roll the hair back on it on each side. It comes out so pretty!

This is such a helpful video thank you! 💕 I didn’t know there were so many other different methods loll! do you think since you stopped wrapping your hair, it’s been able to grow longer? My hair has been short (about neck length) my whole life and I haven’t really been able to grow it past that length (on top of breakage and having dry hair) and I feel like since my hair is short I only have the option to wrap it up lol but the pin curls method seems easy, I’ll try it tonight! ☺️
I’m glad this was helpful! I don’t think not wrapping my hair contributed to hair growth. Definitely makes sure your hair isn’t dry so it doesn’t break off! I hope the pin curls worked for you!
What's the name of the pink band you put before the shower cap and where do you get your shower caps from?
If you look up “makeup headband” that’s what they should be called. I got it from the beauty supply store! And I got my shower cap from humbleglow.com

Is being a straight natural hair amazing ? I should’ve switched years ago. I’ve been getting my hair pressed once a week for the last 3 months and it gets better and better. I use olaplex shampoo, conditioner and #6. Deep condition every time. My kinky hair has been so much better to manage in it’s kinky state. I actually feel more confident wearing it kinky/curly for 1-4 days then I’m back to straight.
I have been enjoying it! It’s currently back to curly so I will see how fast I go back to straight lol. I was looking to buy #6 but wasn’t sure how it will fit in my routine. Do you use it for curly or straight hair?

Thank you for this! I'm into week 2.5 of my first silk press and it still look noyce. I've had to righten up my "kitchen" (aka, nape of my neck) after walking on a hot day. I wanna keep it going for as long as I can so I bought dry shampoo for dark hair so it doesn't leave a white residue. The thing is, I've been wrapping it every night so it' beginning to look flat. Could a pineapple work? Any info/ideas will be apreciated!
Try some rollers if you have some. Or do finger pin curls to get some body back in the hair.

Honestly I’m not sure. I omit activities when I have a silk press. Hopefully someone else answers for you ☺️

Any tips on frizzinees?
Honestly my hair didn’t get frizzy at all. Watch my tutorial on the silk press and if you use the right products, technique and avoid water, there shouldn’t be any frizz. BUT if the frizz are at the ends of your hair, apply a little serum and pin curl your hair if that works for you. If the frizz is at the root it’s harder to calm down. Time to wash 🥴

Yeap I stopped wrapping my hair about a year ago… I do method number 4 with the 2 large flexirods in the front away from my face and high ponytail with the rest of my hair with 2 large flexirods
I love dry shampoo for my silk press and I’m going to try the sock method, it’s very pretty

What do you do to maintain your roots
I make sure I don’t take long hot showers or sweat in my scalp. The dry shampoo also helps a lot!

Did that , no oil or product, did the pin curl and put the silk scrunchie on, silk scarf. Hair was frizzy and a hot mess, shrunk up like I had been to the gym. 🤦🏻♀️

My hair feel humidity in Texas.. I'm in NY! Nothing works if you sweat in your scalp! She has a texture that agree.. Her rootes look straight.. How??? Tell that part. And color? My hairs sweat.. I have hair.. But if not braided.. My hair medium thick.. Shower ruins my hair! Steam and my head hot?? Puff. My hair curls instantly.. I have a bush.. Natural ....

You should definitely wrap your hair while natural especially with color. Helps keep hair from drying out, breaking off , and ends from breaking . If you wrap it tight. You see your shit breaking off in the front from the color and tension.
