Good idea; I am getting a silk press this weekend. I usually do pin curls throughout my hair before going to bed then I tie them down with a satin scarf. Sometimes I keep the pin curls in if it's humid during the day or if I get bored with the straight look but not yet ready to revert my hair..🙂
Good video... I was just about to ask about how do you clean your scalp, but you must not have dry scalp to even worry about that. I don't mess with dry shampoos. I had a reaction when I was younger so I Don't go near dry shampoos . Formulas might have changed since my mom used an aerosol spray when I was younger, but I don't trust them anymore...for me, lol Thank you for this beautiful hair tutorial. I noticed you had a leopard scarf on and then the next day you woke up with a leopard scarf, lol. Editing😊
Your silk press looks lovely, and the maintenance is very easy!🥰 I have no patience for even my blown-out hair. At most, I'll keep it for 2 - 3 days and I'm shampooing to get the curls back.
Thank you so much. I was trying to wrap my hair and I was searching and searching for someone that made sense and then finally found you easily explained finally got the way it should go. You’re the bomb.❤👍🏽🥰🥰
I personally wear the two buns and a scarf but I don’t sweat. So I know this would not work for more people. I know someone that does sweat and she blow dried her hair after working out on a low setting
Man! I wish I could keep mine. I’m a personal trainer! I did notice the first week when I wrapped and tied down it did last longer. Then I slacked off. Great tips 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
2 days!! I haven’t worked out with this silk press but I have in the past. Mind you I don’t sweat (has it’s pros and cons) so I’m lucky when it comes to working out
@@ShaniqueBuntyn oh wow! That’s a game changer- I’m legit dripping from every strand after a workout every time 😂 so this is why the 2 days. I love your method though so I’ll use It to make the best 2 days of my silk press
@@ShaniqueBuntyn to be transparent I just ordered a formaldehyde free keratin treatment called Answr and I will probably try it soon. I know the natural hair community hates it but I'm out of options at this point
My hair will stay right for the first 2 days and it is a miracle to get up to 5 days bc my hair sweats the most at night once I have wrapped it up. It is hard to even get it in the winter months.
@@danabenson4125 I wonder if you use a netted wig cap and then sleep on a silk/satin pillow if that would help reduce the sweating. That way your scalp still gets some airflow but your hair is still protected.
Since I've gone natural, I can only keep my hair straight for about three days, and even that's pushing it. I like it for about one day and then I'm kind of over it 😕

Your hair looks beautiful! Any advice for maintaining a silk press while exercising?

Oh no! It’s hard to maintain straight care when you work out
@@ShaniqueBuntyn 😩😩😩Yes
Any products that you use when straightening your hair that have helped your hair with frizz?
I only use Olaplex bonding oil when my hair is straight. I haven’t cracked the code on controlling frizz yet
Your hair looks beautiful. Do you do pin curls? Thanks for your tips on the silk press.
Thank you. No I don’t. Check out the video to see what I do 😊
I love this idea! Thank you.💕 Sweating always ruins my styles🙄
You're so welcome!
Can you do the video explaining how you protect your straight hair when it's raining outside. Thanks.
I mainly wear them during the colder months. So I do this : Loose bun and a jacket with a hood.
@@ShaniqueBuntyn Ok, thank you for responding!
Your beautiful and honey make sure you keep that hair cause let me tell mines was like but with age all changed!!!!
thank you
How often did you straighten your hair after wash days? when you were a straight hair natural. once a month, every 3 weeks only 4 times a year?
I’ve never been a straight hair natural. I only straighten my hair once a year
I noticed she changed scarf...but still love how the results came out
Looks nice!! What dry shampoo do you use?
I believe in this video I was using batiste
Wow! A month! Mine lasts me 2 days if I’m lucky 🙈 how do you work out with It?

Would this work on 4c hair with silk press
Yes
I wish I didn't sweat so bad in my head😔 great tips though
Same here. I keep saying I'm going to straighten my hair when it cools down but I sweat all the time.. just not as bad as I do in the warmer months.
Yea I wish I had tips for those who sweat. I know there are girls who refresh their silk press with a blow dryer on a low settting

Am I the only one noticed that's a different hair rap and bonnet, kmsl
I workout too much lol. This is not attainable for me. I wish.
Lol yes this isn’t for those who sweat in their head. What do you do?
I wish my hair was like that. Do you have perm?
No I don’t
Why would she have a relaxer if she has a silk press?

Aww that’s okay.
