There's this model of Tuf F15 2021 with RTX2060, does anyone know/tested if it can support more than 1Tb ssd like 2/3/4 on a single slot?, coz the support says it only supports 1tb on both slot but I'm hardly believing it for a laptop this expensive I need 2 have more storage.

If you don't disconnect the battery, the motherboard still has the power flowing through it. Yow may short important components while in the process of upgrading (accidentally touching other parts of the motherboard) and may also cause voiding your warranty..

Hi! Always check first the spec sheet of your laptop model and check the following: *check if it has secondary SSD slot available (M.2 or SATA) *if it only has 2.5" SATA port, you may use 2.5" SATA SSD *if it has another M.2 port, identify if it is an NVME or SATA M.2 slot
If your laptop is DDR4 yes you can.. but do note that if your laptop model only supports slower speed than 3200MHz, it will only run at that slower speed..
Just bought this at Lazada today! Also bought a Kingston 500 GB SSD to expand the stock 512gb ssd already in the laptop. A question, do I really need to disconnect the battery before slotting in the SSD? If so, how does one do that?
You can install the SSD without unplugging the battery but it is not recommended. Because there is still a power source connected, you may short important components while in the process by touching them specially your new SSD. There is a wire that connects the battery to the motherboard with a white head plug and colorful wires, it is located in the middle and beside the RAM slot..

Is there no problem at all when you install a RAM stick of another brand into this laptop (Specially gaming) ? Hi! Yes you can use other brand the same as I did in the video, it will also run in dual channel mode as long as you install the same capacity and speed.. But if you want to buy a 2x kit stick the better because it is rated to run at the exact same speed and CL timings..
Hi! Yes you can, as you can see in the video it has a preinstalled 1 M.2 NVMe and another free M.2 slot which I used to add additional storage.. For the RAM (memory), you can only have 32GB max total..
As far as i know it will not except if there would be a physical damage caused by opening the back panel so be careful on performing upgrade - carefully remove the cover and as much as possible do not touch motherboard components to prevent ESD damage.. Also check if there is a seal in one of the screw socket as some other stores are putting it and removing it will void warranty..

Hi as far as I know yours has an Intel 11th Gen processor right? If thats the case then DDR5 will not be compatible with your unit and you can only use DDR4 memory kits..

Hi, yes its fine if you can get a higher speed one.. What will your computer do is it will downclock the new memory speed to match your old memory.. I suggest getting a 3200Mhz..

Regarding naman po sa performance nya pag hindi naka charge, mejo nagkakaron po tlga ng slowdown sa performance nya lalo na sa graphics kasi nag switch sya from nvidia graphics to integrated graphics para makatipid ng battery and depende na din po un sa power plan ng laptop mo.. For warranty naman po, double check nyo lng po if may sticker na nakakabit sa kahit isa sa screw holes, pag meron wag nyo po ng tatanggalin.. Ung sa akin kasi wala pong sticker kaya I think ok lang AS LONG AS maiiwasan nyo ung physical scratches at damage habang binubuksan nyo sya..

Hi! to answer your question 1. Yes you can. 2. The model in the video doesn't have hdd slot only m.2 storage. Kindly check your model spec sheet first to be sure. 3. You need to reinstall windows in the new storage since you will replace it.. If you dont want to lose your current setting you may consider cloning it to the new storage.. I also have instruction for disk cloning which i made on my other video..

Hi! You can also use the NV2.. The difference between NV1 and the NV2 is that the NV2 now runs at PCIE 4.0.. This laptop only has PCIE 3.0 M.2 slot but PCIE 4.0 is also backwards compatible.. So if you use the NV2 it will only downgrade its speed to match the PCIE 3.0 speed of this laptop and still works..

Hi! it depends on SSD brand that you'll purchase.. But if you will use the same brand and model in the vid (Kingston NV1 1TB NVME) it costs around Php4500 or around $80 per piece..

For 2TB Kingston NVME it cost around Php 8900 (around $155) You can have a maximum total of 32GB for the RAM. The additional memory i used in the vid cost Php1600 (around $28) per 8GB 3200Mhz stick..

You must first initialize the SSD.. Go to Computer Management>Storage, you will see your new SSD in the list. Right click it and initialize then format it to create a new volume..
Can anyone help me? I want to upgrade my m.2 ssd in my Asus Vivobook laptop. The thing is, I see that many m.2 ssd's come with heat sinks. My laptop is too thin to make an m.2 fit with a heat sink, and the current 128gb m.2 in my laptop does not have a heat sink. Now my question is; Does a 2tb m.2 ssd run too hot to use without a heatsink in a laptop? Should I be looking at a smaller m.2 that runs less hot? Or is the heat of a 2tb m.2 not going to be a problem for a laptop? Thank in advance to any who answer!
I think you should be fine without a heatsink.. Mine used to be around 45-60 degrees when doing doing heavy task like video editing and file transfer.. If you still want to make sure, you may choose an ssd with a very thin heatsink like the Kingston Fury Renegade and etc.
That is the captive screw, it will not come off entirely.. Just loosen it and when loosened enough you'll feel or hear a click, it will create a tiny gap to help you pry the bottom cover in that area

If di issue budget pwede mo po isagad ng up to 2x 16GB DDR4 3200MHz SODIMM ung RAM while sa SSD naman may mga larger than 1TB na NVME SSDs(Samsung Evo, Kingston Fury etc.)
Go to Computer Management > Storage.. You should see your new SSD in the list uninitialized.. From there you can right click it and Initialize and a create a new volume..

Hi! i did use PH00 screwdriver and triangle plastic prying tool, you may also use a guitar pick(a thicker one) as an alternative..

Hi Reggie, I'm new to this. Recently bought Asus tuf f15. Its with 512gb rom and 8gb ram. Have few queries
1. Can i remove both 8gb and 512gb and replace with 16gb two rams and 1tb 2 slots?
2. In addiiton to it ,can i fill the 1tb hdd slots too?
3. If point 1 is possible then by removing the stock ram and rom, will pc lose the old memory? where will the windows os be stord?

1. Yes you can.
2. The model in the video doesn't have hdd slot only m.2 storage. Kindly check your model spec sheet first to be sure.
3. You need to reinstall windows in the new storage since you will replace it.. If you dont want to lose your current setting you may consider cloning it to the new storage.. I also have instruction for disk cloning which i made on my other video..

Hi! You can also use the NV2.. The difference between NV1 and the NV2 is that the NV2 now runs at PCIE 4.0.. This laptop only has PCIE 3.0 M.2 slot but PCIE 4.0 is also backwards compatible.. So if you use the NV2 it will only downgrade its speed to match the PCIE 3.0 speed of this laptop and still works..

Can anyone help me? I want to upgrade my m.2 ssd in my Asus Vivobook laptop. The thing is, I see that many m.2 ssd's come with heat sinks. My laptop is too thin to make an m.2 fit with a heat sink, and the current 128gb m.2 in my laptop does not have a heat sink. Now my question is; Does a 2tb m.2 ssd run too hot to use without a heatsink in a laptop? Should I be looking at a smaller m.2 that runs less hot? Hi! it depends on your workload.. Usually , m.2 SSDs heats up with intensive read writes.. What tasks are you doing with your laptop?
@@regieaustria1742 It will be my OS drive. Sometimes some gaming and regularly reading and writing large video files to and from it.
I think you should be fine without a heatsink.. Mine used to be around 45-60 degrees when doing doing heavy task like video editing and file transfer.. If you still want to make sure, you may choose an ssd with a very thin heatsink like the Kingston Fury Renegade and etc.

That is the captive screw, it will not come off entirely.. Just loosen it and when loosened enough you'll feel or hear a click, it will create a tiny gap to help you pry the bottom cover in that area
