I own one, I experienced that too but What I did is just loose it a little bit so its buttery smooth overall its the best cranks I have ridden. Love it more than omniums. Still smooth had it over a year. Planning to buy the miche airs
Update: I went to a local Miche supplier and I ended up receiving a new left crank (slightly different in graphics and style than its predecessor). The mechanic also decided to remove any spacers (both left and right) from the bottom bracket area. Now, with a new left crank and tightened to manufacturers' specifications (torque 47 newton) everything works the way it's supposed to.
@@cameronmcbride950 Omniums are stiff but its spindle is 24/22mm you can feel the unbalance. If your going for omnium consider upgrading a quality bottom bracket. The cons is just the price getting a quality bb. Or you can just put a adapter for it to be 24/24mm. My friend uses a shimano bb and a adapter. I chose miche because I think omniums are overrated and I like the looks of it. Its stiff as well and light. The only problem you might occur is the non drive side crankarm while pedaling it gets loose needs to be tightened to the correct torque and threadlocker for safety. So far this is the issue I have encountered. I have a v1 miche pistard 2.0
@@cameronmcbride950 never ridden an Omnium.... I thought it was discontinued a while ago (as I haven't seen new ones being sold on Facebook Marketplace)
i have this Crankset for over 3 years now and just purchased a different one because i never got it working properly ... i had it on 3 frames tryed out mulitble BBs in my opinion the Left crank is problematic because you really need to tighten it down or it will have play in that connection and working itself lose but the tolerances of this crankset are not good enought so you also apply that force on the bearings and i guess thats why the Evo Max had that internal tube to take that force of the inner rings but that tube doesnt allow you to tighten down the BB Cups to the Frame so one of them wont sit right. I allways ended up with it dont turning free or working itself lose or some sort of noice because the BB sits on the inner tube instead of the frame (also very toughtfull by miche to include that plastic spacercover so you dont see the gap between Cup and Frame but that doesnt solve the issue ... Im a Mechanic for a living ive installed some Bearings over the years ive figured out a lot of stuff but that thing isnt well designed and wont have the necessary tolerances to fit properly ive meassured that thing over and over again trying to get everything just right but thats a waist ... dont make the same mistake theres a fair chance thats it isnt your misstake if it doesnt work as it should...
Unfortunately, I payed the price of trusting the vendor (who said it was in immaculate state and that it worked perfectly). Fortunately, I went to the local auhtorized distributor of the brand here in Chile, and they exchanged left crank no questions asked, and it works flawlessly to this day (me doing hill reps pushing 300 watts with no problem). I guess I was lucky to get a spare part. But I sure didn't like getting stranded in the middle of nowhere with the left crank attached to my left shoe.
In case anyone has this problem the solution is quite simple. There should not be any spacers between bottom bracket and a frame. If you still have this problem then you need to face your bottom bracket shell.

Hello, I am currently deciding between the omniums and miche pistard 2.0 and was wondering if you had any more opinions on the two?

some people say the system needs spacers and some people say the opposite. From experience, I will stick with the former.... no spacers
@@alejdagostino can you get a measurement on your bb shell width? I’m curious if my frame will be in the same situation.
Same problem. I'm really disappointed with as. I spend a lot of money with this Crankset.
I have only Miche original components
Una mierda

I have the same problem bro; did you fix it?
Me too, do you know the name of the left crank you got from the supplier?
I have the same shit. Tried in different frames to make sure. Is their shit tolerances and bad engineering.
Sad

@@Llamo- That was the first thing I tried when I first installed it and noticed the drag.
@@Llamo-no!!!
shit happens I have the same and the back of the pedal touches the frame
You need a wave spacer for BB

I used a spacer
you need a bottom bracket spacer
Hey Flo.... I got it to work properly by actually removing the one spacer the bottom bracket came with
hoooooly fuck i literally dont care
my bad that was uncalled for homie
i took my meds im chillin
dont play it again though
