There's a video on TH-cam that deals with his "mysterious death", which the Los Angeles Police Department initially said was a suicide, despite glaring evidence that Bobby had been beaten to death, soaked in gasoline, and then driven back to the parking lot where he lived with his mother, where he was discovered lying in the front of his mother's car (which Bobby appears to have driven away in the previous night, wearing his slippers). The discovery was made in the late afternoon that day - his mother had been looking out the window for its return all day, but missed seeing it when it was brought back and left there. There were a few people who deserved to be investigated regarding Bobby's death, none of them in the band.

A great pioneer musician of early Rock N' Roll. This song was fantastic. Bobby Fuller and his Four were already headed for the Rock N' Roll Hall Of Fame. Jealousy, the LA Mafia , the Police and Bob Keene all conspired against him. They wanted their piece of the pie and corruption murdered him. Bastards did him in. Just like what happened to the King Elvis Presley. Promoters, Producers, managers are all bloodsuckers to be cautious of when you have talent. They exploit the real Star and live off their Successes. Evil manipulators.

♫►"Love's Made a Fool of You" is a song co-written and originally performed by Buddy Holly. It was later re-recorded by Sonny Curtis and the Crickets, with the lead vocal by Earl Sinks, and famously covered by the Bobby Fuller Four.
Buddy Holly first wrote the song in 1954. It was not until 1958 that it was recorded, as an Everly Brothers demo, which was not released until 1964 on the posthumous Showcase LP. The first public release of "Love's Made a Fool of You", however, was by the Crickets, headed by Sonny Curtis in 1959. It was released as a single from In Style with the Crickets, and stayed on the U.K. singles chart for two weeks, peaking at #26. The Crickets' version, without Holly, was accidentally included on the 1972 compilation album Buddy Holly: A Rock and Roll Collection; the same mistake was made on 1997's The Very Best of Buddy Holly. The Bobby Fuller Four released a version of the song in 1966, and it became one of the group's most famous songs. It was another Crickets cover, to follow their smash-hit "I Fought the Law". It broke the Top 30, and was also performed live on Hollywood A Go-Go. This recording features Dalton Powell on drums, taking over from longtime drummer, DeWayne Quirico.

I hear you. Bobby's voice doesn't sound as good here. The harmony vocals drown him out at times and they sound too sterile and lifeless. But from a music standpoint- this version rocks. Love the sound of the snare drum and the bass. And the guitar solo is a bit more creative here, too.

Robbing people with a "shotgun??" Much better in the original Crickets/BFF/Clash versions with a "6 gun" with the drummer pounding out the six shots...IMO. Pretty cool hearing the little nuances that are different from the later release. Looked like Bobby had a few female fans in the accompanying video. With his talent and charisma he would have been a HUGE star.
