i own multiple olight flashlights and weapon lights and can honestly say i have had zero issues. i also own a few fenix flashlights and they have been great as well. great content brother...
I have the X3. I like the simplicity. The low mode is enough for most allround tasks and lasts for many hours. Bear in mind this level was turbo mode of LED flashlights ~15 years ago! But the runtime a fraction of the runtime of this light. High mode is just impressive. Feels like a car high beam in the hand! But if frequently turning on the high mode it fastly drains the battery. Therefore this new X4 is very interesting. Sometimes I want a level higher than 300lumen but still possible to use for extended time. The mid mode of 1000lm level is just right here! Apart from that, the usb-C port is a true advantage. The possibility to charge the light with the mobile phone charger is great. I am very temped to get X4!
Great review. In regards to performance, 2600lums for 3min run time. Is that 3 min continuous or 3min total run time (30s on high plus an additional 30s means only 2min left at 2600lums?) Or can i run it on high for 3ish min, turn it off, let if cool and run it at 2600lums for 1min and so on?
Let me say this first before I get ridiculed for not supporting the warrior X4. I own two Warrior X4s, so I obviously like them. However, there's one glaring issue in my opinion, that is the switch. I do not like the switch! It is mushy and very inconsistent; in both its feel and ability to activate the light. I wish Olight would get away from the magnetic charging and give us a regular rubber tail switch. I understand they're probably never going to do that but it really holds back the potential of the warrior X4. As you stated in the video, I experienced the same issue with the switch being laggy and occasionally refusing to activate the light for steady burn. If you only intend to use this light as a momentary light, you will be fine but be prepared to fuss with the switch for steady burn activation. Thank you for bringing this to attention in your review. There are so many overly positive reviews on TH-cam about the warrior X4. That neglect the issues with the tail switch. I'm glad to see that I am not the only one that has this issue. And yes, I have the same issue on both of my warrior x4s so it is not an issue with it being a one-off fluke.
@TheAAA166 you're not going to get ridicule from me. I haven't been the biggest Olight fan. This light gets better marks from me, but it isn't perfect. I too think a standard switch would be 1000% better.
@TheAAA166 my x4 is ordered and on the way but the x3 and x3s i haven't had that issue. Hope the x4 is as smooth and effortless as the warrior x3 I have owned. I do hate the proximity sensor on the newer x3s though.
Can you go straight to Turbo without having to go to low mode first? I feel Tactical mode should have been Turbo and turbo strobe. Not some reduced power mode.
i love my warrior X turbo. but the reflector head is huge. it's essentially a helicoter spot light. Quarter mil candela. i'd say anything inside 50 yards it's too bright.
@nathan55000 I am conflicted. I really like the output of the Olight better, but I like the switching on the Nitecore. I wish Olight would dump their goofy magnetic switch. I went back to the Nitecore on my duty belt, if that gives you an idea of where I ended up.
Fair enough. I was looking at both of these lights but can’t make up my mind. Side note, if you interested in a good duty light, there is a brand called Eagtac. I’ve been carrying the T25V for about 3 years now. I enjoyed the video and thanks for the response!
OK, now I have to go watch the video on the Nightcore P23i (again). I continue to be intrigued by the dual tail switch as a concept. I, too, have been disappointed by Olight in the past.
Great if you want 600m and USB charging...otherwise terrible...the switching just doesn't work well and you never know what you're going to get....and having to do a special trick to get 'tactical' mode, medium light and strobe, is waste of time and pointless when other Olight torches, various Baton or Warrior 3S, are easy to operate and you can access whichever level you want easily and quickly....and more than powerful enough for 99% of situations....and the Baton Turbo mini torch reaches 500m. Hard to beat the Warrior 3S in the real world.

Great review, I have this light, and hes right on the money with his assessment.
This is an incredible light.

Lately Olight has done some decent stuff lately. Fenix is definitely my jam. Thanks for watching!

I don't see any real downside to the X4. Historically I don't have the greatest time with Olight, but I am slowly coming around....

3 continuous, but you're going to have to let it cool a while to get that full output again. Even stepped down the output is pretty solid.
Very well presented and articulated! Thanks for the descriptive instructions bc I threw mine away. Love your channel. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks! This light is super simple, so that is helpful for me!
Just ordered one today. thanks
I'm really impressed with it!
I do love the function of the olight over fenix and nitecore. Still great lights but olight is my go to. Steamlight for my pistols though.

Luv my Nitecore P23i And my Nitecore P30i 💪durable and bright'

@@χχάάοοςς regular mode was low/high and tactical was high/strobe, so yes.

Whew, that is huge. 1k candela was OK inside. I haven't played with 2.5x that inside.
Do you like the Olight better than your Nitecore P23i?

@nathan55000 another light i need to check out! Thanks for the idea!
Is it right, that the x4 wenn its down on Red.. Not Work with the magnetic Charger ,only the usb c port .?
This works with the magnetic charger or USB C.
Is the sheath MOLLE compatible?
Or just standard belt loop?
Standard belt loop. You could get it into molle but it won't be as stable as something purpose built.
OK, now I have to go watch the video on the Nightcore P23i (again). I continue to be intrigued by the dual tail switch as a concept. I, too, have been disappointed by Olight in the past.

@@Frogboxer this one is simplified, and I like simple. USB C charging is also a game changer for Olight.
My switch didn’t work until I cleaned up some oily stuff inside around the battery .
absolutly badest lamp of 2024 olight x4 warrior
