You hit the nail on the head! I ended up selling mine because it was so similar to the Adrena in casting, feel, and sensitivity. Still not NRX sensitivity but the price but god it's a sexy freakin rod!
@@PunchFishing In my experience, Shimano often does that...over-states the sensitivity of their rods. They definitely make good rods, but there are other manufacturers who 100% make more sensitive blanks/rods for the same price.
Thank you for another great review. been using your Omnia discount code. have a couple 852s NRX +. your talking me into trying the Conquest. thanks again for the review
The only thing i noticed with my Poison Adrena's was that i could feel the current of the water in the rod handle. It's almost like a sound resonance thing... either that or im crazy. But the only rods i have felt with the buzzing sensitivity are my NRX+ rods!
I still love my Steez 681MLFSA paired with a Steel 2508. Aside from the EVA handle looking old (it's been used a ton over the past 10+ years) this rod still looks and performs amazingly. Super sensitive and really light. It was my first splurge on a rod and I still love pulling it out for finesse fishing.
Nice review! I am lucky to own the M and ML (there is no L in US Lineup), but one thing to admit - this rod must have a Stella FK 2500 on it - you know, this high end rod needs the high end reel of the line up :) An other thing to say about, it can handle small Jerkbaits pretty well too - it is my one to go rod for any purpose.
Showing off gears is basically Mall Ninja stuff, in the end, bringing more fish to the boat is more satisfactory, but having good gears is definitely beneficial, I have Stella, TP, Ultima, Glorious, Expride, TS destroyers.
I picked up the 7ft mh baitcaster. Dropped a steez sv tw 70 on it. Lol.What a combo. I have never babied a rod this much tho. That warrantee sux, but i had to buy this rod. Im a tackle junkie with little self control. Lol. Thsnks for the review Bri .👍🏻
How does it compare to the Adrena in sensitivity? It's like a Lamborghini, super sexy and exotic, but a corvette performs just as good at a fraction of the price.
Would have never thought NRX+ and conquest rods would be used in the same sentence as “cheaper”… welcome to boujie freshwater gear world! Keep your wives far away! 😂 Great video man always look forward to the reviews 👍🏼
Hey Brian can you do a video on the schimino poison adrena rod I did subscribe to your channel. thanks for the honest reviews. God bless you and your family.
I have 4 of the casting, I hate the look of the spinning version of this and expride, the fore grip reel seat design look ugly for me and one thing I hate is the monoque get scratches easy and so far I can’t figure out to remove it
Sensitivity is the biggest marketing trick in rods. You get to point that it doesn’t matter. If I can already feel everything what does it matter if I can “feel it more”. So for me it’s like you said, what components are going to last longer. It’s not cork that’s for sure. Then pair that with loomis and bad build quality and the NRX’s are just a sensitive rod that’s made in America with a good warranty. I just love how for example, the new Adrena’s market the open butt cap as being more sensitive….lol. It’s all about the blank and that’s about it. It’s more important to match a good rod with a technique that you like it for. Always good reviews by the way!!
Sensitivity is snake oil trick, if something can't be scientifically defined, measured and quantified, you should be very skeptical, but there are a lot of people in fishing industry that don't have basic college physics 101 knowledge, so it makes sense a lot of people believe it, it's like HIFI industry, people believe using pure silver cable is better than pure copper cable, because it sounds more natural LOL>
I have 2 adrenas and I like them. One or both go with me on the boat every time I go out. But I’m no way spending 800$ on a rod. No way. Also, I think Megabass has shimano beat down on looks and feel.
I would never spend that much money on a rod that does not offer lifetime warranty, don't know what shimano is thinking when loomis offers it yet they bought out loomis

I've had the ML Ultima since launch and put a 23 Vanquish 2500 on it... I honestly couldn't be happier with the combo.
Finally been waiting half a year for a REAL review of this beast

all their rods were 20 percent off even if it did not show until you paid

Got the MH casting Ultima. I still prefer the Shimano/G. Loomis Conquest.
Fantastic review wish I could afford one! Enjoy brother 😊
Thanks for watching! 👍
I'm from Minnesota too.
you should've thrown the 2023 vanquish on it.. I think it'll look badass with that reel although the exsence isn't bad looking

Medium!
My Diawa real control is 2 ounces , so insane
