I will say this about shimano. I used to live by the shimano warehouse and corporate offices in Lakef Forest ca. As a kid. Anytime I had an issue with a reel or rod I could go into the office and they replaced the reel or rod no questions. For that i will always be a shimano customer!
Thanks for going over the new line up of the poison Adrena. Have a few of the last generation and really appreciate them. 2 casting and one 7’6 M 2pc spinning. I put on the Fuji hook keeper on them I like being able to move it. Have a great weekend!
I not a particular brand guy . I buy what feels good in my hand. I own all kinds of manufactured rods. From my experience from owning the mid- teir to high end rods are technique specific in what you want it to do. These days a lot of low tier rod is just good as old high end rods. Don’t spend too much out of your budget. It’s basically a hobby and tight lines guys.
I’m so stoked on that 7’4 H returning. Still catching them Gordita Younders on that awesome rod. Best bigger topwater I own. Can’t wait till I get my hands on the new model 🙌🏾
I still have my old falcon rods for crank baits and spinner baits - Still going strong super sensitive feel in the tip down to your hand light but strong
Only thing that is disappointing for me is the handle design on the spinning rods. Other than that the rods are phenomenal. Thank you for the break down Ben and TheHookUp 👊🎣
Thanks for the video. I like hook keepers and as a kayak angler, like them in front of my reel. I watched an interview with a rod builder once and he said if you put 30 hook keepers on, you still wouldn't have one in the place some anglers want them. I don't mind using the Fuji hook keeper if a rod doesn't have one.
With the balance issue, I tried a vanford and it was too light on my 7ft med adrena. I'm now currently using a sustain, just a tad heavier than a vanford. Feels better. And on the fishing forums, people complain about the lack of hook keeper lol. I have a fuji keeper on mine. 😅
Please restock the Makippa Jig in 10g. That was my go to lure for the urban scene here in the Valley for covering water. Whether that was stock or the modified version of the Makippa.
I'd be very interested in hearing some more about the similarities and differences between the Dark Sleeper and the PA 7'2 M... How different are they in power?
Already had enough of the last series. Thank god they released the 7'2 ml spinning, so I had one to buy. My new okashira rod with an airity 3000 on it already.
Going to test out the 7’0 med spinning rod tomorrow on some Florida bass, see how the bite is after Hurricane Milton… Rod seems lighter and more sensitive than the previous version…
I have med casting medi spinning. New poison is good but if you aint using braid i cant really see it worth it. If you already have the old poison.. it lil lighter and maybe cast lil better but thats about it..
Gonna be a while until I’ll have a chance to feel it out in person so I’m hoping you can compare the 610 L Adrena vs the 68 L Expride for me. I was leaning towards the Expride because it is a fast vs an extra fast and I want to be able to throw both hard and soft baits on it but now you have me rethinking it. Going to be pairing either one with an aldebaran bfs. How do the two actions compare and which would be the better all around bfs rod?
@@baliton2006 What??? Definitely, definitely not… Expride is a ~$280 line of rods, Poison Adrena is a ~$380 line of rods, and P5 is a ~$500 line of rods. Exprides are not even close to being comparable to P5 - I doubt Adrena even is…
I’ve been using the 6’ 10” medium as my new jerkbait rod. Extremely impressed with it. Incredibly light and sensitive. That hollow handle really lets you feel the tiniest nibbles. Just ordered the 6’ 10” light from you guys and am hoping to use it this weekend with some BFS crankbaits.
That 7'2" MH Glass sounds great for a bank beater/kayak guy. It would also slow down my hook sets on jackhammers and paddletails. Would the 7'4" H be a good 6" Magdraft rod? I assume it couldn't handle an 8"
