The Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow, Russia , and the Duomo di Milano, Italy, are my favorite churches in this video. They all are very gorgeous churches but these two I mentioned, are exceptionally beautiful with a magnificent architecture. WOW! It is ashamed what happened to the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France, but I hope one day it gets rebuilt. What marvelous churches, very lovely. I watched this video twice to enjoy again these churches. One note: Love the background music, it is lovely and very soothing.
The good news about notre Dame is that there wasn’t too much damage but sadly the famous spire collapsed. The firefighters were able to get all of the special stuff including the crown of thorns. It’s still gonna take a very long time to rebuilt. The statues only got burnt a little bit but but it didn’t catch on fire I think.

Milan's Duomo was incredible, mind blowing inside and out. The marble exterior is amazing and the interior pillars were unbelievable. Will never forget it.
The praying hands sculpture was the first one done by Dürer to honor the friend who worked with his hands for years to support Dürer's education as an artist. If you were to look closely, you could observe that they are the rough looking hands of a humble laborer... Not the smooth hands of someone who had an easy life. Self-sacrificial love is Holy🙏🏼+

I am an atheist but I love looking at Churches. Pity there wasn't a commentary,giving a few dates and interesting facts. The workmanship is superb. I like the light lacy looking ones best. There is a little church in a little village called Lusk 12 miles north of Dublin Ireland built in 1920s but it looks much older its beautiful but of course couldn't compare with the magnificences of those huge Cathedrals

Most of these choices are beautiful for their architecture with only two exceptions (St. Basil and St. Mark besides beautiful architecture are completely covered (pillars, ceilings, walls) with wondrous iconography.
I think you tend to confuse imposing, grand, ornate, and impressive with beautiful. And yeah, Notre Dame de Paris is one of the exceptions here, impressive AND beautiful.

Sainte Chappelle in Paris is not a big cathedral, but the walls are virtually all made of stained glass. Phenomenal. And Chartres, also in France. The most sublime example of High French Gothic imaginable. And of course, Gaudi's masterpiece in Barcelona.

@@AaqeI wouldn't call it beautiful but it is definitely more pleasing than Saint Patrick's in NYC or Duomo di Milano. I actually think both of these are pretty hideous from the outside, and that's why I wrote my first comment. Saint Peter's, while not beautiful, isn't ugly either.
