Hi! I love you videos! I used your grid chart thing and brought your book as well as read the book you recommended when I started my loc journey! Thank you for being well informed and sharing this information to us DIYERS. I have bunching and I’m over 2 years in my loc journey. I stopped braiding and banding around my one year mark because it was unraveling my ends. Do you think braiding after washing my hair could “undo” the bunching?
Well I think I know why braiding and banding was unraveling your ends. I had a friend who was braiding and banding the wrong way so every time she undid the braid she inadvertently unraveled her locs. Restarting braiding and banding may stretch part of the bunched sections but you might consider correcting your bunching first using a tool then go back to braiding and banding until your locs are done maturing.
Hi, what's your loc count? I've been trying to find out. Can you put it in your description portion? I'm 4c and I just wanna know and compare. I know hair is different, but I think it will help me to figure out how many I want. Thank you.
I love how concise and thorough you are explaining your process in each video! You have THE MOST stunning micro locs and I've enjoyed watching the progression and progress over the years! Any more information you have to share I think would be a benefit to anyone wanting to the follow this journey themselves! Take Care!
I remember when you first installed your micro locs. I started around the same time. My locs are more “rustic”, but I love them still. We both have the same reaction when people say “your hair is getting longer” 🤭
Been with you since day 1. My one daughter and I are also 4 years in and she has thick and golden hair just like yours 😊 My other daughter is 2 years in, had to wait for her to grow up a little. I do all of our reties and we couldn't be happier. I thoroughly enjoy your content
Very beautiful. I luv the way your hair has dropped and flows. I would be interested in knowing the comments made when you had your micro locs done by someone and very interested in the 'HEADBAND'
It's been a minute. Nice seeing you again. Thanks for sharing your journey. I would love to hear and see some of the video of you getting your hair retightened. Your hair is beautiful. I've been watching since you started. How is your brother's locs?
So you mentioned how often you do your reties, but had the speed of reties changed since you last updated us? Also how is life as a PA? Do you have a lot more work life balance working in the field? Would you recommend the program that you graduated from now that you've finished?
The speed of my retires is a tricky questions bc I break it up over days/weeks bc I’m more likely to be doing another persons Reti. Regarding my job as a PA: my work life balance is great. I have a job where I work w-f and I don’t have to take work home. Really the whole reason I went through the craziness of PA school in the first place. And yes I’d recommend my program. It was really unique being a in a program with a majority of students being minorities. It’s a place and environment where I prefer and thrive.
Lint is inevitable for me. I had issues with it as a loose natural. Knotting and lint in the back. I have fine 4c hair. At the beginning of my journey, I was redoing my locs in the back for the first couple of months. I checked them regularly, and there was always lint. I finally just said forget it. I use a satin pillowcase, satin head wrap, and have a leather couch. 🤷🏾♀️
I would like to see a detailed (how you prepare your hair on retie day, how long it takes, etc) video on which rotation that you do and how you do it? Maybe show a good clear video, angle on how u do them ? Also tips to avoid marrying your locs as well as how u know if you are doing them right ? If that makes any sense. I have been wanting to start doing my own reties but I have been so scared about messing them up and how to correct them If I do.

Play at 1.25 speed
I think it took a bit longer to see length because of starting the locs on straightened hair. Just a theory! Locs are beautiful! 😍
Headband and chain links!❤

Ye give us the chain link video
Can you do an updated retighten video please ?
Anything in particular you’d like to see in an updated Reti video? Or specific questions you’d like me to answer?

Braiding gel
Have you had any luck getting rid of hair follicles?
Dyeing them yes. Removing them. No. 🥲
Hi, what rotation do you use ?
Mostly the 4 point or 4 point reverse depending on my on how my locs are looking
What camera are you using please
My iPhone 14. Nothing fancy needed to get good quality videos nowadays. I used to use a canon but it’s unnecessary
