This song has always been "ours" and i listen to it all the time because it reminds me of our crazy times!

i talked to rick 3 weeks ago . i met him when i was 15 . reverse those numbers . im 51 now . i showed him the pic of him and me in 1985 . i then showed him the shirt i wore in the picture . he said " WOW ! ". i mailed him the original picture in 2000 and he autographed it and mailed it back . now i have the shirt autographed and that is wild !! he is so damn cool and the concert was great !!!!!

Love this song, I still remember the first time I heard it. Was a high school girl....he's been a lifelong crush of mine and will always be. Saw him a couple of weeks ago here in Austin and he still has it! ❤❤❤ His show managed to pull me out of a funk I was in, had been a rough week for me, finding out an old friend of mine had passed away unexpectedly and was trying to make sense of it. I saw him hear in Va a year and a half ago...had just had a toe amputated...I was bummed,having phantom pains,but he came up to mom,grabbed her hand,played just as good as he did when I was 12 & had just lost his mother. You could feel his grief but he still used it to push through. I'm sorry about your friend.

Would wait all week for Friday to roll by so I can catch the latest on videos hoping to see a fav song as they were super random picks. Then one Friday night they aired this video and I was in mad love with the song. I had never heard it before and I bugged my parents forever to get me the tape :) Still one of my most fav songs of all time!!!! Awh the 80's had the best music I swear.

Good memories driving around in my car listening to this song. Rick Springfield is an underrated songwriter. Everyone thinks he was nothing more than a heart throb. Some of this songs fell into that genre. But alot of his songs were songs of substance.

As a kid, I was mainly into bands like KISS, Poison, Cinderella, etc...except for Rick. I'm not sure why given the pop-star image he was packaged as. Bought all the albums through the years, and as an adult learned how fkn good of a writer and storyteller he is, and really, how much of a rocker he is. I wasn't as enamored with his foray into nu-country with Rocket Science but loved the swampy The Snake King. One of my favorites artists to this day (and also a big fan of his one-time guitarist Tim Pierce). With him coming up on 72 years old, I hope he has a couple more albums and tours in him. I last saw him in 2019, and he killed it. I love going back to videos from the Tao and Rock of Life era. One of the best periods of my life, and seeing Rick in the mid to late 80s was great.

I last saw him in 2019, and he killed it. I love going back to videos from the Tao and Rock of Life era. One of the best periods of my life, and seeing Rick in the mid to late 80s was great.

I first heard this song in the 80s when I was still at primary school and didn't speak a word of English. I heard it only once but that was enough to fall in love with it. After over 20 years, thanks to the Internet, I managed to recreate some trace fragments of the lyrics stuck in my memory and finally found its title. Thanks for posting it and bringing back the memories of my youth.

Such an under-appreciated singer-songwriter. Most people just think "Jessie's Girl" when they hear his name, but wow he had some amazing songs, tunes and lyrics both great. So many memories
