There's too many problems to really forgive them or explain it away. One or two? Sure, that could be overlooked. But there's the missing bodies, textures failing to load, models appearing in the wrong places or getting stuck in places, the text issues; there's just way too much failure here. And remember. This giant pile of failure costs 60 dollars. Oh, and let's not forget, after that purchase... the game then proceeds to talk down to you like a preachy teenager who only just discovered existentialism. I feel like SquareEnix just desperately wants to milk the one Dontnod property that made any money for them, even if they have to bring in a different studio to do it. Dontnod has said repeatedly that they don't wanna do LiS sequels, they don't want to bring back Max/Chloe. But SE insisted on a prequel and sequel and those comics. I think it's funny how Dontnod and Square are failing with both approaches to recapture that original success.

In the US (and Canada), we got weeaboos who are people so obsessed with and fetishizing of their idea of Japan that they wish they were Japanese and structure their lives as closely to their idea as possible. In Japan, there are people who do that for French culture, seeing it as super fancy and cool and chic and all that. Apparently in France there is the same kind of crowd for America, who desperately want to be cowboys, bikers, American-style rappers, etc. My theory is that France's direct culture has a harsh distaste and counter-method to American culture. Liking American film and stuff would be considered low-class or irritating to the French "patriot" types. Which, as we know, makes the people who DO like it and don't like French stuff as much only like it more in spite. It would be fun to play a reimagined pacman game. Like, imagine an open-world game where 4 ghosts pursue you constantly and they have different behaviors. So one just follows you (like in the "it follows"), the other tries to predict where you'll go next ect. But there are also survival mechanics, so you don't just hold "W" the whole time, sometimes you need to sleep and eat.

Okay so I’ve only seen these DontNod games through the lens of these edited videos, but isn’t this plot essentially the same as Life is Strange 3? Main character moves back to small hometown, discovers the pillar of the community is up to something, family member dies, indie guitar? For that matter, isn’t that the same plot as the one about the twins? For that matter, isn’t that the plot of the first game?
I understand shit like cyberpunk being broken because of how many variables those games have with how huge they can be( not excusing it, but I see how it could be difficult to foresee all the variables that could break the game). What excuse does this game have.
It says a lot about the writing when you can easily explain some of the glitches if you say your main character is hallucinating. It says a lot about the writing when you can easily explain some of the glitches if you say your main character is hallucinating. Also that going with the style and look that you already established with the game mind you!!!! Yet they choose to go with a narration that seems like a generic law and order episode

The concept of a mind palace has existed before Sherlock.

Adam pointed it out in the video, but also Sherlock didn't do it first. To be fair, DONTNOD probably got the idea from Sherlock, because they don't seem to have knowledge of things before the 90s.
