At times like this I always imagine what the executives who made the call are like as human beings in general. Do they genuinely get off the phone after giving orders like that, and then relax in a hot tub truly thinking they're a genius? "Hah, those bozos were going to use the word don't in a title, where would those helpless idiots be without me? My job is very important and my opinion definitely matters." Have they ever had anyone tell them their ideas are garbage and they're uncreative greedy hacks? Would they have the self-awareness to accept that their cocaine-blasted ideas have only, are only, and will only ever suck? Do they ever experience imposter syndrome?
These movies always make me mad because The idea of a heist movie where stage magicians use actual stage magic to pull it off is so good, and they just squandered it on this
All they needed to do was have stage and street magic but on the scale of a heist. Stuff like a teleporting helmet just throws that into the garbage since that is ACTUAL MAGIC and any possible explanation would just come across as absolute bs
I love these as always, and getting more scoot.. I want a sequel where the fucking Sorcerer Supreme shows up to arrest them for using dark magic and they are able to escape the whole time. Only to explain to him at the end that they are of course not using real magic ... and he just says nope, i don't believe you - it's either magic or you use future- or alien-tech.
I didn't even know that Scoot had passed away until today when I went to watch a random Adum and Pals video and everyone was mentioning it. Honestly I had thought it was some inside joke knowing his humor until I went to the reddit to confirm it. That was one hell of a fucking gut punch

For some reason, offhandedly calling the hypothetical sequel "Now You Three Me" especially caught me off guard. Scoot was a treasure. But I also want to point out how friggin' great the editing is on these. It perfectly complements the humor of the conversations.

You can have X number of files and define them in Y number of ways, so it's possible for a 50GB blu-ray, if you rip all tracks without checking, to become several hundred gigs of the same data rearranged in different ways, or having different setups in the metadata.
I've seen the same thing with some DVDs. It's a copy protection mechanism that spams your harddrive with copies that aren't accessible using the menu interface.

Adum, Scoot, and Gaël never fail to bring me joy. The last time I was ill for an extended period I bingewatched all of the Adum & Pals they'd released at the time, and it kept me smiling all the way. When we run out of new vids with the three of them, I'm grateful that I'll always have them to rewatch.
I was on a flight yesterday and the 40 year old man next to me with piercings in his ear was watching an Adam Sandler movie but it was on his phone so it was obviously a personal choice. And then after that it was TikToks of young girls dancing for the rest of the flight.
David Copperfield was their "magic consultant". Apparently all his big illusions had like two years of prep time, so essentially what they would do is, they would explain the scene to David and David would determine whether or not he could figure out how to do it legit, assuming he had his usual prep time. So anytime they do something that looks like real magic, David said it could be done legit.
Yeah and then isntead of just doing it they used cgi lol even in scenes where they were passing the card around and its like dude you could have just actually done it.
The chemistry between you guys was and is amazing. Makes me think of how many hilarious conversations I've had with friends that weren't recorded. I'm glad you have these snapshots of your time together.

"Magicians doing heist". That's All I vaguely knew about the movie before I saw it. I thought they were gonna be using real-world slight of hand and misdirection techniques, I didn't know they were gonna be magicians literally with magic powers.
I thought so too until i saw the stupid card-trick scene from the second one somewhere. And then i knew i didn't need to watch these movies. But i didn't know that scene wasn't even the worst of their totally believable magic ...
Oh my god I'm so happy that you guys are covering these movies. I love them as dumb fun, but seeing them picked apart scratches a certain itch for me too. I always love to hear Scoot's voice too. It's going to be another sad day when you run out of content with him in it
I remember putting this movie on immediately after coming home from getting my wisdom teeth removed, and opening packs of digimon cards at the same time. Peak vibes tbh. The movie hurt more than the tooth pain
I had my first kiss in a movie theater watching this exact movie. When mark ruffalo and the French broad kissed, he turned to me and asked to kiss me. I was happy about it of course, but my 14 year old brain was halfway kissing him and halfway thinking the romantic lead up between mark and french lady was subpar and the on screen kiss felt shoehorned and out of place. I lowkey wished we could have kissed to Jesse eisenberg and isla fisher instead. Before anyone comes for me, yes I know every part of this memory is cringe but it was sincere and I have zero shame in this lol.

I appreciate you guys uploading the rest of the scoot episodes, it was a painful time but after the stream with drew and gael ive felt at peace with it and these feel like gifts he left behind for us, and the one time i did feel nervous we were getting our first adum and pals without scoot last time and the intro was adum and the three scoots and it was just a perfect subversion of my expectation that i still really love.

I have a little personal history with the first movie - when i was 10, our class took a trip to a movie theater to watch it. It was probably my first ever experience when i looked at a movie and went 'this is silly, this doesn't make sense, this is unrealistic, this plot twist makes no sense'. At an age where i was watching cartoons, nickelodeon sitcoms and other content directed at children, this pg-13 movie made me struggle with suspending my disbelief.
I did the same thing 😂, like why did they go through so much effort of showing us how they do these tricks if they're just gonna turn around and show us a flying lady in a bubble with 0 explanation.

Thank you for posting this. Though i didn't know him, what happened really affected me. It also helped me proses the death of my grandparents that happened a couple weeks before. Thank you again, hearing his voice is very bittersweet.
This is random but I haven’t been able to watch Adum & Pals since Cool Scoot died; but somehow hearing his voice is making me smile so much. Thank you that we can hear his voice again. I needed it.
I know lots of people feel sad to remember Scoot when these recordings come out, but honestly they make me happy. I feel like I'm being treated to a little more time with his humor. He may have told these jokes years ago, but to me they're brand new. We're so lucky to have these recordings of him even though he's gone. It's bittersweet.
My biggest question watching that ridiculous card-hiding scene was “why didn’t the lady just tuck it in her bra, nobody would look there?” then that happened, rendering all of that card magic unnecessary

I know lots of people feel sad to remember Scoot when these recordings come out, but honestly they make me happy. I feel like I'm being treated to a little more time with his humor. He may have told these jokes years ago, but to me they're brand new. We're so lucky to have these recordings of him even though he's gone. It's bittersweet.
