Man you're so lucky they all appeared so fast. I'm currently on phase 4 for Chikorita and this phase has now been 47 934 resets long on two consoles and still no shiny. I'm at the point that I watch videos like this just to remind myself that those shinies does indeed exist

Nice, dude My first ever hunt was void glitch Darkrai. My second was a Johto starter in my SS. There it was, shiny Cyndaquil and there he went into the ether since I accidentally sr over him
Yeah I hate to admit it but in the games totodile is the best choice. But in competitive all 3 starters have a chance, but Bayleef is better than meganium if it’s holding an eviolitemaking it have 120 base in both defenses, while the other 2 have their final forms better off.

Would just like to say that while watching this video I had to pause for an hour because in the dark a giant wolf spider crawled across my bed and then onto my hand and iPad at 12AM so I had to rip apart my room and find it. After not finding it for an hour I gave up thinking it was gone so I picked up my blankets then when I turned around it was on my giant horse stuffed animal staring at me. I continued to beat it with a fly swatter into the floor and scream like a Viking.

I'm currently trying this hunt on a single DS and it's the least fun, most boring, biggest waste of time I've ever fucking done. If I choose to continue on then I'm never doing any shiny hunting again after this. I seriously fucking hate this.
The trick of full odds hunting is to do shiny hunting as a secondary thing not the main thing you are doing, most full odds hunters watch TH-cam videos, Livestreams, Netflix you name it, while shiny hunting so the shiny hunting is pretty much muscle memory, you do it while barely thinking about it while enjoying something else :) but still its not for everyone i guess
I just started my first ever shiny hunt and it was this same hunt! I hunted for about 2 hours, 281 soft resets and found a shiny Totodile on phase 1! Unfortunately my target is Cyndaquil😂

Thank you very much! no, that doesnt matter at all when it comes to full odds hunting there are no combo/chain to worry about, each individual SR/RE has the same chance of being shiny every time. Keep at it bud and good luck!
Got one question, the odds for each one are 1/8192 but since the three of them are generated at the same time the odds to get one of them shiny get lowered to 3/8192 = 1/2730?
@@Yoymicanalmierderomathematically it doesnt work like that but since 3 is way smaller than 8192 , if you use a binomial law , you can show that the odds of getting a shiny for this run is nearly 3/8192 and therefore 1/2730. But in most case it doesnt work like if you were to see 8192 pokémon you wouldnt have 8192/8192 odds of getting a shiny. Also the odds are not changing , its still 1/8192 , but the way probality works makes 3 time 1/8192 act like 3/8192 at least if you want to calculate the odds of getting a shiny at a given point.

The venipede took me about 8 weeks and then 2 others in one week?? Good luck on your hunts too. There are some really cool, small shiny hunting channels out there. Your venipede video was a big motivation for me to continue hunting this mon eventhough it did not want to shine!

No worries I’m happy to help! we use programs for it, you press a button on your keyboard every time you do an encounter and it increases the number, there are many versions of these programs a lot of people use stuff like “death counters” for other games for example

I got shiny Totodile in just about over a day of soft resetting. My game froze immediately after in the dialogue text so I couldn’t save. Still hunting for totodile or cyndaquil atm 😢
in 2014ish i was SRing for a shiny chikorita, in about an hour i got a shiny tododile, sadly that cartidge somehow got corrupted and i lost all 5 of my brother and Is full odds shinies. i just bought a new dsi and copy of soul silver (300$ later) and hope to SR for a shiny starter again

Back then on the gameboy i cant remember wich Pokémon game but i got a shiny chikorita in 1st try I lost it over time but i got it back over time I've lost the cartridge but someone probably found it and just traded my pokemons i guess
Nope , no emulator. i use 4 DS's that has capture cards installed into them and well, i guess i do it that fast by pushing myself and then building that muscle memory 😁

I can’t prove it because I didn’t record it but I got a shiny totadile after 20 ish re sets when I was younger but I wanted a cyndaquil and I gave up after like 50 re sets, I still regret it

3 days is not all that much for full odds hunting tbh but if you are new to it, it can feel crazy i have been there bud x) but my best tip is to keep yourself distracted while hunting, watching Videos, streams, netflix or something like that and it makes time fly and before you know it the shiny pops up Good luck mate!!
Lmao I have 2HG and 1SS and I have all three games set with all 3 shiny starters. It was infuriating because I would keep getting totidile and cyndiquil. Chikarita didn’t show till after atleast 5 shinys

Save in front of where you pick your starter, if none are shiny then soft reset and repeat till you get a shiny 🤙 Good luck! ✨

Nah thats not how it works because each of the 3 pokemon still roll individually for 1/8192 they dont effect each other so the odds are still the same

Are you using an Emulator? How are you controlling 4 instances of a pokemon game so fast?
Nope , no emulator. i use 4 DS's that has capture cards installed into them and well, i guess i do it that fast by pushing myself and then building that muscle memory 😁

I can’t prove it because I didn’t record it but I got a shiny totadile after 20 ish re sets when I was younger but I wanted a cyndaquil and I gave up after like 50 re sets, I still regret it

I've been soft resetting nonstop for 3 days I'm going insane, don't know if my mental can take it
3 days is not all that much for full odds hunting tbh but if you are new to it, it can feel crazy i have been there bud x) but my best tip is to keep yourself distracted while hunting, watching Videos, streams, netflix or something like that and it makes time fly and before you know it the shiny pops up Good luck mate!!
